God is Great at Any Rate

I will not fail, I will not quit, even though I wanna throw a fit.
To the pit, I’ll not submit, for I believe the Holy Writ.

I’m strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might, so I commit to win this fight.
Even when it’s frustrating, and things are slow, and I’m annoyed because I wanna GO!

Here I sit, and here I’ll wait, even though I hate - to hesitate,
For God is Great, at any rate, and assures me - that He’s never late!

I’ll watch to see what He’ll say to me, and wait to see what He’s said to me.
I’ll abide in the Word for that’s the place to be, to know the Truth that sets me free.
