Abide!

It’s true joy to know how wonderfully and tremendously God loves us and we partake of perfect peace when we chose to live in His love. Now “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…” and when we have these three we are empowered to walk in the rest “…patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” (Gal 5:22-23) Who doesn’t like a person who is full of love, joy, peace? Someone who abides in God’s love, joy and peace will be patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and exercise self-control. And when we “Abide” we feel awesome and amazing and when we don’t agonized and angry. We weren’t created to criticize, complain and condemn, that’s not how God is and therefore not how we are. We are to “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Eph 5:1-2) So it’s time know and believe in the love God has for us and rejoice and make the steadfast choice to abide in His glorious and victorious love. God’s Love will surely never ever fail so those who live in Love will prevail!

What manner of spirit you are you of?

If you could purchase perfect peace how much would you pay? It cost Jesus His life and then He gave it to you! (Col 1:20, Jn 14:27, Isa26:3) Now that you have access to the peace of God how do you think it will affect your life if you choose to live in it. Peace in your household, your relationships, your finances, your workplace, your community – can you imagine, “perfect peace”? The source is God’s Spirit, His peace flows into your spirit, then saturates your soul and finally is reflected in your body and upon your whole life.

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” 1 Thess 5:23-24 NKJV

Now the fruit of the Spirit is peace and if we yield to God’s influence we will bear it. But there are also other spirits out there working so we have to make a choice.

James 3:13-18
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

The spirit that’s in the world at large is “is earthly, sensual, demonic” it’s the spirit of the Antichrist and it’s anti-Christ. It’s against the Prince of Peace and works to cause envy, division and strife. But you are not of this spirit, “because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” “The God of Peace Himself” has come to live on the inside of you and wants to “sanctify you completely.” And if you’ll yield to Him, He “will do it.” (1 Thes 5:23-24) And if you don’t He won’t. So the question is, what spirit are you yielding to? Are you like the “sons of thunder” or the “Prince of Peace”?

Luke 9:54-56
54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?"

55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." And they went to another village.

Do you know what manner of spirit you are of? Just look at the fruit in your life, what kind is it? God’s will is “perfect peace” but you must pay the price of committing to live a life of love. You must keep your mind fixed on Him and yield to the Greater One within. You must refuse the evil and choose the good and “[Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]” John 14:27AMP The great price for peace has been paid and now it’s up to you to enforce it. It’s not going to be legislated by world governments or brought into being by charity organizations. But it starts with the Spirit of Peace Himself dwelling in and flowing forth from the heart and mind of every committed believer.

And the government will be upon His shoulder.

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Love Rich or Strife Poor

If you keep the commandments of the Lord, chiefly love you will prosper and if you don’t you won’t. Its “through faith and patience that we inherit the promises” and “faith is activated and energized and expressed and working through love.” (Heb 6:12, Gal 5:6AMP) So if you don’t walk in love don’t expect your faith to work or to inherit the promises of God. It doesn’t matter how hard you try to believe if you don’t love it won’t work. But if you will make love your highest priority God has promised to make all His blessings come upon you and overtake you.

Isa 48:17-18
17 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,
The Holy One of Israel:
"I am the Lord your God,
Who teaches you to profit,
Who leads you by the way you should go.

Harmonize with Heaven!

Praying in the Spirit gives us peace and assurance. We seem to be created with the inherent knowledge that prayer is powerful. It’s an awesome privilege to have access to speak with the Almighty. It’s especially wonderful when we know that He loves us and said that He would always be there to help us. They say, “Good help is hard to find these days.” But the best and most powerful help; that is God himself is always as close as our next breath. We have access to unlimited power but we don’t know exactly how to orchestrate it. When we ask God for things we must realize that He will manifest the answer in a way that’s harmonious with the balance of everything in the universe. In other words it’s not His desire to answer the prayer of one person to the detriment of others. That would be counter productive in His great plan because His will is for the good of all. He’s not just the agent of solo singers but the Author of everything. When we ask Him to make our melody He doesn’t stop the whole show but begins to work us into the symphony with perfect precision. Many times we wonder why our prayers don’t get answered “exactly the way that we thought that they should” but surely we must realize that we are not the only people on earth. Imagine what a mess it would be if the Conductor started following the “conductees”.

Our weakness is revealed, “We do not know what to pray for as we ought” (Rom 8:26) just like musicians don’t know what to play as they ought. Each person only knows their part but God is the Orchestrator of everything. So He helps us pray in the Spirit and intercede according to His will so that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Rom 8:28) Not that some things would work together for the good of the ONE, but so that all things work together for the good of ALL who are called according to His purpose.

So this brings up the subject of praying in the Spirit. Like music is the language of the soul praying in tongues is the language of the Spirit. Good music doesn’t generally come from the mind nor do you interpret it with your mind likewise good prayer does not come from the mind but from the spirit and in interpreted by the same. Most people would like to have the gift to play well, to move the soul, but only some do. However every child of God can receive the gift to pray well, to move and be moved by the Spirit of the Almighty. Praying in the Spirit is the like song of the Spirit and the main requirement is a desire to “sing.”(Jn 4:24) This gift has become uncomfortable and controversial to some because the enemy would rather have us, “JUST SHUT UP!” Because singing lifts the soul and praying in the Spirit edifies and lifts the Spirit. And it also helps us pray in perfect harmony with God’s will and gives us peace and assurance knowing our requests are being “written in” by the Author of everything.

If you desire to receive this great gift you may if you are a child of God. When you received Jesus as Lord you were also equipped with the ability to pray in the Spirit. If you will receive the gift of His Spirit He will enable you to pray in this supernatural way. You simply say, “Lord I receive your Spirit now please help me pray.” Then you yield to the sounds that come from within. When you pray in the Spirit your spirit prays so these sounds are coming from your spirit not being formulated in your mind. You don’t pray in English or whatever you natural language is any more than you play music in English, these are the sounds of the Spirit. It’s the language of heaven. You don’t comprehend it with your mind but you understand it by the Spirit. And like music moves your soul this prayer moves your spirit and you harmonize with the whole of heaven!

Hot Pizza or Cold Cat Food?

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good.” Isa 7:14-15 NKJV

Our happiness can be greatly increased simply by being disciplined to refuse the bad thoughts and choose the good ones. There’s a lot of “stuff” floating around out there to worry about but Jesus said not to. (Mt 6:25-34) Evil thoughts are like worms on hooks and if you take the bait your mind will soon be running away with you. But there’re also plenty of good things to think about and you constantly get to choose. If you refuse the evil and chose the good life will seem good and if you choose the evil than life will seem bad. It’s the same life but the difference in how you think about it. Many things you can’t change but you can control how you think. So I say why torment yourself? If you have a choice between eating hot pizza or old slimy cold canned cat food which one will you choose? Many thoughts will be placed before you today so what will you “eat”? Some things just give you a stress stomach ache so don’t partake. God’s got the good stuff so think like Him and, “…taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Ps 34:8

Catch-22

What I need today is motivation without condemnation.
I must pray so I can itemize, prioritize and strategize the right way.
Many times I feel driven but I can only work with the time I’m given.
If I don’t ask God I’ll attempt to do more than I’m able to and end up frustrated and feeling blue.
When I overload myself I get behind, and in distractions to become entwined.
I feel like I’m never going to get “all my stuff” finished anyway so from my purpose I begin to stray.
After procrastination comes condemnation, if I’m not fulfilling “my obligation.”
In my stomach the butterfly’s flutter and in my mind I began to mutter.
Feeling compelled to perform and “get in a hurry” my gut is wrenched as I worry.
By the adversary I’ve been trapped and tapped and now my energy is being sapped.
This anxiety makes me pale and frail and I live my life as if on a rail.
Thinking soon the train will come and to despair I will succumb.
Set me free from this Catch-22 of being obsessed and driven or overdue.

We work better and are more productive when we have peace. But many times if we’re unaware our peace gets plundered. Any distraction will do the enemy just wants to divide us from our purpose. God leads and guides but the enemy drives. When we’re feeling pressed and prodded it’s a good indication that the enemy is working. He wants to drive us so fast that we crash or distract us to go so slow that we become easy prey. Either way it’s a Catch-22 because we don’t end up fulfilling Gods will and end up feeling angry, frustrated and condemned.

So what’s the answer? Just don’t do it! You have peace and God will set the pace as you walk with Him. Refuse to be like cattle being driven to the slaughter. But stand up for yourself and stomp the enemy. Say, “Hey! There’s no way I’m being driven by or following you! Get out of my face I live by God’s grace and in His peace I’ll finish my race!”

This can be easier said than done so just stop for second. Which system are you hooked up to; the world’s system of worry or the kingdom of God’s system of perfect peace? God is like a firewall, “a wall of fire round about” you. If you’re getting a bunch of ghoulish gluck you guard is down. It’s time to reset and it takes a minute to reboot. Turn everything off and wait on God for a moment.

Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted in the earth!

What is Truth?

It’s easy to live a lie when you don’t know the Truth. But when Truth comes to abide within He purifies your soul. Living the double standard is the result of choosing anything to live by besides the Truth. When you choose your own standards you can do whatever you want and try to justify it but that still doesn’t make it right. There is only one Truth and He is the Standard and example for all else. He is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, the Almighty Creator of everything! Therefore He alone has the right and authority to establish Truth. And He has instituted and founded all things upon this immovable footing. If we know this Truth and establish our lives on it as we will also be unshakable and free! And if we don’t we wont.

Eyes of Eternity

“For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” (James 4:14)

This life is short compared to eternity and when it’s over we don’t cease to exist but the spirit and soul move into another realm. When a person moves out of their body they vanish from the temporal and move into the eternal. It’s hard for us because we won’t get to see them again “for a while” but if they belong to God they really have moved on to a better place.

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:1-4

They have gone on ahead and also await our arrival in eternity. They have followed the path of life to Life Himself and in His presence “is fullness of joy” and at His right hand “are pleasures forevermore!” Ps 16:11

A person who dies in the Lord lives and is surely ecstatic beyond our comprehension. Those who have seen the other side look back form the perspective of eternity knowing that we also will be there in just a moment. For us it’s “the rest of our lives” but for them it’s a only vapor. Very soon we will also be ascending and will fulfill our hearts and enjoy the relationship forever. And then never ever again will death be able to separate us because it’s been defeated. And even tough they are absent from the flesh they are with us in the spirit like the Lord Himself.

2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

It’s like a one way mirror and we can’t see their side but they can see ours. When we get a glimpse from the scriptures we see them in perfect peace. And when they look back now from their eternal perspective what do they see? And it seems like they would say, “Don’t mourn for me I’m free!” “It’s not like you’re never gonna see me again.” It’s like when a kid goes off to college and the parents cry but the kid says, “It’s gonna be all right, I’ll see you again soon!” Now the Holidays become richer when we get together and for some who have graduated to the next realm we look forward eagerly to seeing them again at the ultimate celebration. God will gather all His in heaven and we will rejoice together at the marriage supper of the Lamb. We will live together forever because we are the family of the Father and He’s made the way to keep us all together. So for now we carry on and take comfort and courage knowing that this is our eternal destiny.

Come Fort

When the storms of life are frigid and battles are raging it’s nice to have a good home and cozy comforter to snuggle up in. So it is with God, He is our safe place a refuge and a fortress and our Comforter. He not only protects but also abides and provides. No matter what happens He will not be shaken and can not be taken from us. We rest under His shadow knowing that nothing is greater than He. For in God we have come into the ultimate indestructible and supernaturally fortified fort and it’s in Him that we have comfort.

Arrogant or Example

Sometimes the hardest thing to take is a slice of your own advice. If you could see your situation from the outside what would you tell you to do? You have to separate yourself from the emotion of the moment and make your decision based on love and logic. It’s always easier to tell someone else what to do because you’re not feeling the pressure of their problems. But if you can un-relate with yourself for a moment you’ll probably know what exactly what to do. Usually the problem isn’t that you don’t know what to do but that you don’t really want to do what you know. It’s easy to dream but it takes discipline to actually achieve. In order to receive what you believe you have to pray and follow the Lord day by day. This is easier said then done because the Holy Spirit is your personal trainer and is usually more concerned with your results then your comfort and contentment. “Now you do what you have to, so later you can do what you want to.” This is sound wisdom but most people just want to do what they want to do without paying any price. Well if you don’t pay then who’s going to? Jesus did pay the ultimate price and gave His life but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing left for you to do. You could at least leave a tip and you can’t just mooch off Him forever. He gave you Life but now you have to live it. It’s true it’s a gift but you still have to operate it. If someone gives you a brand new car it doesn’t mean that there’s nothing left for you to do. You still must fill it, maintain it, drive it and follow the rules of the road. If not you’ll end up in a crash and wonder what happened to this “new Life.” Well you probably failed to steer expecting God to do it for you. But He’s not going to, He’ll’ do it through you and with you but not without. There’s no such thing as auto pilot, it’s our life and only you can live it. So the next time you’re thinking about sharing your great wisdom and solving everyone else’s problems why don’t you solve some of your own? Because it’s one thing to be a preacher and almost anyone can do it but another thing entirely to be an example.

Take Off the Headband of Hell

Be self-controlled and alert, vigilant so you don’t end up a victim. The enemy would like to eat your life for lunch and if you’re unaware you’re the perfect prey. He seems to be satisfied and consuming in crisis and feeding on fear. Beware of strife because it will slice like a knife and drain your life. You adversary has an agenda and vision to cause division so he can gobble up the pieces. But don’t you know he’s a defeated foe. But even a lame lion gets to sup on the slothful. His saliva is subtle so those who are spiritually sleeping don’t even know until it seems like “suddenly” they’re missing a piece of their soul. If you listen to his lies the toxins of his tongue will maim you mind and make you feel cheated and mistreated. When you begin to lash out at those you love you know something is wrong. You’ve been poisoned, injured and infected by the constrictor’s ill will - put under pressure, overwhelmed with trials and tribulation, it feels like you can’t get any air and you want give up… BUT WAIT! There is an answer!
Call upon God and He will come to your aid. Wake up! Take off the headband of hell. Shake off the affects of a delirious and demented foggy brain designed to restrain. If you think and act like the enemy then the outcome is evil but if you imitate God glorious and victorious. God Himself lives a life of love and will impart His goodness into your heart. By receiving His nature and paying attention to Him you become free form sin and the effects of strife and the wicked life. By God’s grace the enemy has no place, no right to bite, resist him in “steadfast in the faith” and He’s put to flight. To the slithering subversive snake don’t yield but to God’s wonderful Spirit submit and be fulfilled. It’s a choice you make many times a day, good or evil which is your way?

Worship Him Who is Wonderful!

I wanted to just preach about and focus on God and not myself or others but one of His chief characteristics is His love for us. When I find out what He’s like I find out what we’re like because we’re made in His image and likeness. His love and passion to redeem us and bring us to Himself is so great it seems to come up every time we communicate with Him. My desire is to intently focus and fellowship with Him and when I do I find that He is intently focused on us. This is truly amazing! “What is man that you are mindful of him?” Now for us to start acting like God we need stop paying so much attention to ourselves and pay attention to Him like He pays attention to us! He’s so much more awesome and interesting anyway. What an honor and a privilege to be loved by God, and it’s pure bliss to be in love with Him! This is the essence of our existence, it’s excellent and extraordinary to know and worship Him who is Wonderful!

The Secret Ingredient

You can appreciate what’s on the outside when you have peace on the inside. The creation looks better when you are filled with the Life of the Almighty Creator. There’s just something that happens to people when they acknowledge and abide in God’s presence. You can see His light and love reflected in their eyes and attitude. Colors seem brighter, food tastes richer, people seem better and stress and worries fade into the background. When we realize Who is with us, living in us, watching over us, manifesting His grace and glory through us and His mighty power upon us then life is considerably enhanced. We begin to live in high definition with surround sound. Like sugar sweetens coffee and cookies and spices make ordinary food delightful and delicious the presence of God is the secret ingredient to living the good life. How can life be bland when we fellowship with and understand that it’s actually God Himself within - the awesome, infinite, Almighty and most interesting being in the universe. The glory of the entire creation is only a mini marvel compared to the One who created it and “we haven’t seen anything yet!” The One who made mountains majestic, oceans awe inspiring and the sun and stars shine bright above, lives in you and fills your heart with love. He is unlimited in ability, surpassing greatness, glorious in splendor, superabounding with everything that’s right, good, excellent and enjoyable! And He’s chosen you to be the object of His affection, “the apple of His eye” His constant companion and created you to contain the very essence and nature of His divinity. You are able to yield and be filled with all the fullness of God Himself. And when you are everything else is also Awesome!

The Secret Place of Perfect Peace

Acknowledging the Almighty harbors the soul and without it we drift to aimlessly to and fro. The external life is like liquid and constantly changes with the elements. There will always be storms and sandbars but with God there’s security. For within - in the realm of the spirit there is a bay containing a cove of constant compassion. It’s the secret place where we may hide and abide in the presence of the Most High and under the shadow of the Almighty. Mental, emotional, financial and political tempests may rage but we remain unchanged in the midst of the same. For we are not ruled and moved by the outside elements but are governed by our unchanging God. We well know that He has everything under control and there’s no situation or circumstance greater than Him. If we try to navigate the world’s waters on our own we will run aground or be in continual crisis crying for help. But if we realize that God is not only “our ever-present help in trouble” but also ever-present help to keep us out of trouble then we will weather the storms under His care and remain secure and undamaged in the midst of any adversity. He is our Everlasting Father our eternal security and Him there’s perfect peace. When we acknowledge we turn the wheel of our thoughts into His presence and with His guidance at the helm no violence or tempest can overwhelm because were aware of His realm. When His realm becomes our reality then we realize everything else is subject to change but He remains the same and we are “in Him!” This is the secret station a cove of constant compassion the place of perfect peace!

Why Would You Do That?

Today I was putting the dishes away, all the clean ones were done and there was one dirty dish left in the sink so I thought, “I’ll just leave that one for later” immediately followed by another thought “Why would you do that?” The first thought was just me being lazy and the second one was the Lord helping me examine my motives. Usually what we do or refrain from doing is not as important as why. Does it really matter if I leave one dirty dish in the sink? Nobody in the world is probably going to care and it’s surely not a sin so what’s the big deal and why is God talking to me about the dishes? - Probably because He’s more concerned with my inner attitude than my every action. By leaving one dish undone I’m cultivating an attitude of laziness. I’m conditioning myself to accept leaving things undone, I’m being inconsiderate of someone else and in this case would also be ignoring the voice of the Lord. Does this mean that I should be obsessive and compulsive about doing every dish all the time? That would be over correction and the dish really isn’t the issue it’ the attitude. The Lord knows that if I’m lazy, inconsiderate, ignore His voice and leave things undone that I will not succeed in life. If I’m not faithful with little then I won’t be faithful with much and that’s how I get big problems. The big things are really just a bunch of small things and if neglect the little then pretty soon I’ll have problems with the large. So the question to ask yourself is, “Why would you do that?” or “Why am I doing this?” If you do the right things for the right reasons you will end up “living right” and be successful but if you neglect to do the right things for the wrong reasons you will fail. Changing your life starts with the small stuff and you can do it and if you don’t you will never see big changes because the big stuff is just a bunch of small stuff. What you need to do is not some super-spiritual miraculous and elusive revelation and inspiration that’s way beyond your reach. It’s simply doing what you know you need to do at the right time and for the right reasons. If you do this you will foster the attitude of an overcomer and end up attaining. The road to victory is run one small step at a time and if your small steps are bad then your race you will ruin. So don’t be that way but do everything with excellence and display and convey an attitude of victory every moment of everyday!

Peace Invincible

For the unbeliever perfect peace is as elusive as treasure hidden in the shifting sands of a massive and deadly dessert. But those who know God and fix their thoughts on Him have a perpetual oasis. Water brings forth life in the dessert like faith causes the believer to flourish. No matter how harsh the conditions you have the ability not only to survive but also thrive in the midst adversity. The Vital Source, Living Water, Perfect Peace abide eternally inside the children of the Almighty. When we focus on God in faith, acknowledge His Truth and are aware of His presence we find the true treasure that so many are seeking – Perfect Peace! Can you imagine its value and outstanding effect? When it is manifest we are enabled to live and love like God Himself! Glorious in grandeur it remains always untainted by evil. No trouble, turmoil or tragedy can overcome it because it’s the very peace of God Himself. And no matter how dark the days or wily the wicked God is always greater. Those things will change and fade away but the peace of God abides forever. While the whole world and all its systems are bound to fail the peace of God is ever present and will prevail. Even when the very mountains are shaken and taken we will remain at rest knowing we’re secure because our life is in God’s hands and from them we will never be removed! The peace of God that obtains our eternal security is surely enough to get us through our daily duties. The choice is ours, by our own mental process we will be steeped in the world’s woes or fix our thoughts on God and rest in His repose.

Perfect Pace Perfect Peace!

What do I do with symptoms of OCD and ADD? Sometimes I find myself trying to do multiple things at once and do them all perfectly. Of course they don’t all get done and inevitably pure perfection is elusive. If I’m not careful I get frustrated and stressed because it’s taking “too long” to do everything right and I’m not meeting my own self imposed expectations. Things either aren’t perfect or I don’t get enough done in a day so I start to feel driven with a belly full of disappointment. When I put to much on my schedule its like eating too much before exercise it actually hinders the progress but the most annoying thing is just not feeling good. I hate those driven days where no matter how much you do or how fast you go it there is no peace because you perpetually feel like your behind. And nobody wants to be a behind. Making your own test too hard and feeling like a failure is a trap.

So the Lord seems to be saying to me, “Don’t be driven!” Be motivated, proactive and purposeful and live in the moment. While you’re “getting everything done” don’t be so stressed about the future that you forget to live and have fun. Don’t be so distracted thinking about all the things that you have to do, that you don’t really do what you’re presently doing with excellence and enjoyment. It’s the enemy that drives and distracts but I lead and guide. Ignore him and pay attention to Me. When you acknowledge Me in the midst of any situation I give you perfect peace and when you have peace you will be more productive. So don’t be like a rabbit with OCD and ADD but simply follow Me and be free from self imposed condemnation and compulsion.

“WE” that is “God and me” will get everything done today that we need to get done and “everything else” will just have to wait its turn. I will not be rushed by the things on my list like a bunch of little impatient children pushing in line. And the ones that scream the loudest may just have to wait the longest. I won’t freak out and follow fear because I already have a Leader. I take authority over my life and all this “stuff” can just sit down and shut up! I will put things in the order the Lord leads me to and live my life knowing that I’m walking in His perfect will. I will not run so fast that I wear myself out and end up haggard and disappointed unable to finish or get distracted and go so slow that I end up a behind. But I determine to live in sync with God and find the perfect pace to may run my race with joy and enjoy every step!

Meet Your Maker!

God’s with us and we’re with God and with God all things are possible. But greater than the “things” that are possible is the fellowship the Father the Creator of everything. He is Life and it’s when we acknowledge Him that we truly live! He is always present but when we take the care to be aware we are quickened from within. His Word is like sweet song to our souls. It lifts us up and sets our heart on fire. There’s an awesome excitement in communication with the Almighty. Talking with Him we can not help but experience His excellence, glory and greatness. His abundant love makes us feel like we’re the most valuable treasure in the universe. And indeed out of everything He’s ever made He chose us to be the object of His affection. It’s only mankind that He made in His image and His likeness and only us that He’s united with to live within!

It’s a truly awesome thing to meet your Maker and you have an appointment every moment of every day!

Superabundance!

God wants us to have life to as He has it Himself. Abundant, everlasting, God quality of life! He sent only His Son to be the One to give us the Gift and now it’s up to us to receive it. (Jn 1:12, 1 Jn 5:12, Rom 5:17) And He said to pray, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matt 6:10) So what’s God’s will on the earth?

The Extravagant Reward

The best thing you can do in life is fulfill God’s will. It’s what you were made for and ultimately will bring the most satisfaction. True success is defined by Gods standards, not mans and anyone can have it because it comes from God. He created you to be victorious all you need to do is find out where you’re supposed to be and do what you’re gifted to do. When you abide in God’s presence you’re in His good graces then you’ll have favor in other places. The key to enjoying life is to realize that you have Life, and not just a bit but “an abundant supply! God Himself lives in you and He’s extravagant!

Get High and Be Glad!

What makes life so wonderful? Why do some seem to be so happy all the time? It’s the proper perspective that gives us peace and the proper perspective is from above. When we see things from below we get down, distressed and “under the weather.” I got discouraged for a few days at the end of last year and I lost my vision. I couldn’t see what God was doing because I stopped looking. I didn’t do it intentionally; I just woke up late for a few days and missed my prayer time and the panorama of peace. Even though God warned me and I even preached against it but I still got hacked by the holidays. I hate being down; pessimism is my pet peeve and ironically only one of the few things that I’m negative about. I felt wounded and was wondering what was wrong and I realized that some people feel like this often. How horrible, I’m so sorry! So I was seeking and the solution was simple. I had to get my eyes off myself and back on God, His Word and helping others and now I’m “high” and happy again. People never seem to be happy when they’re focused on themselves and it’s hard not to when you gotta live with yourself all the time. But you don’t have to look at yourself all the time. That’s like taking a ride through the majestic mountains and looking in the vanity mirror on the sun visor the whole way. Everyone else may be in awe and enjoying the awesome view but not you. Even though you’re in the same place it’s the perspective not the position that’s the problem. Look up and you will see that there’s something and Someone greater than thee. The creation can be inspiring and so much more is the Creator - the Most High in His Majesty! Prayer and fellowship with God is vital for victory, by it we “Get High!” and it changes the way we see everything.

Eph 2:4-8

By Nature

God’s will is awesome! If you want to walk in it you will first need to know what it is and then apply yourself daily to doing it. It’s not that complicated, it comes naturally if you don’t try too hard because it’s what you were made for. Just like animals know what to do, they don’t go to universities to learn how to live they just know. So Christians are created with the instincts to follow God and do what’s right. It’s so simple a child can do it and most of them do. It only gets messed up when someone comes along and tries to teach you how to “live right.” It’s like telling a dog how to be a dog and that they better keep the dogma if they want to be great in dogdom. But the dog knows its doctrine because it’s taught by instinct and not by law. A dog is a dog and a Christian is like Christ by nature. Will you do what’s right and fulfill the law? You can do it, if you just follow your God given instincts it comes naturally. Forget about all the legal eagles teaching beagles to be beagles and just follow your heart. You know what’s right so just walk with God and be His loyal and faithful companion. You were created to be ‘God’s best friend’ and so much more even one with Him.

7 He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor) in [His] kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus.

8 For it is by free grace (God's unmerited favor) that YOU ARE saved ( delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

9 Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law's demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]

10 For WE ARE God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
