Get Real!

You should already be well on the way to obey. Obedience is the action that puts you in position to receive. It’s like being a football receiver who runs the route so he’s in the right place to make the catch. There’s a plan for victory and the players put it in action by obedience. The players don’t choose the plan but receive it from those “above them” those who are supposed to be wise in strategy and see the big picture. A team is only as good as the direction of its leaders and the execution of its players. If a team’s coaches knew everything and could foresee the future then they would surely be champions if the players would simply act out the orders. They would be able to defeat others with more skill simply by having the ability to pick the right people to be in the right place at the right time to receive. That would be a true dream team. It doesn’t exist in football or any other sport but you can be a member of God’s dream team and a play for His Kingdom.

God has already blessed you and intends for you to have victory and good success. He’s not working with “solo singers” but with groups and building His team on the earth which is the church. His goal is getting the gospel into all the world And He has a plan by which all the members of the team can be blessed to be a blessing. He has sent the Holy Spirit to live in you not only to coach but also to empower you to excel. When you take our place in your local church you become an active member of His team. Then you are to pray and obey everyday and run your routes to receive. If you’re not willing to take orders from above and play on God’s team why would you expect to prosper? If you have your own agenda and expect God to bless it and make you the star player and then pay you millions for it then you are sorely deceived. Some people won’t even show up for church which is team practice. And they don’t want to get involved in “organized religion” or play in “the game” or work on His goal of getting the gospel into all the world. They are “team self” it’s all about them and they sit around and expect everything from God while doing nothing for His cause. There is no excuse! It doesn’t matter if you perfectly love church “practice” or not it is a requirement for real team members. “But I was hurt or had a bad experience!” Waa! Get over it and get on with doing God’s will. Some have had a few bad experiences and got hurt playing football but the real players didn’t just quit and say, “I’m not into organized sports I just play for myself now but I still expect the team to send me a check.” Well if you’re not interested in what God is doing then He’s not interested in what you are doing. And if your not an active member of a local church then you are on “team self” being self centered and selfish and will be on a shelf until you get over yourself. There are multitudes of people lost and entering eternal torment everyday while fat and sassy “Christians” sit around “worship at home” and do nothing to help and pray for God to bless their self-centered agendas. This is utter ignorance and a bunch of B.S. Am I making you mad? Too bad, I’d rather have a few more mad “Christians” and a few less people headed to hell!

If you get involved in what God is doing then God will be involved in what you are doing and you will be blessed and have good success as you fulfill Gods will. You should already be well on the way to obey. Because obedience not only puts you in position to receive “the blessings” but more importantly PEOPLE into the family of the Father. And when we all get to heaven none of this stuff is going to matter. It’s not what you were able to obtain but who you able to influence and bring with you that will be the true eternal blessing.

God forbid I should spend my life seeking stuff when I should be seeking souls!

Matt 6:24, 31-34
24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

…31 "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
NKJV

Mark 10:45
45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

Matt 16:24-27
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

Enriched in Everything!

You can get the absolute best deal in the universe it’s only going to cost you everything. Everything for everything! Wow, that sounds expensive but what you get is a magnitude more than you give. God sent His only Son and has proposed an eternal relationship. If you receive His Son He receives you into His family and you become His very own child and an heir to everything. This is compared to a marriage and in a true covenant relationship each party gives everything. Salvation is a gift but it’s not free it cost Jesus everything and if you understand covenant it will cost you everything to enter into it. Likewise my wife and kids are a gift to me but they’re not free. We have a covenant connection so I’m willing to give everything even my very life if necessary because that’s how you honor a relationship. It’s everything for everything you take the good with the bad and gladly receive the same grace. That’s why so many people’s relationships are so shallow and fail it’s because they’re so cheap. They want to give a little and get a lot but what you sow is what you reap and you get what you pay for.

When it comes to Christianity how liberal are you with your life! Did you give your all to get the best or are you going for some economy model. You may be able to get to heaven in a Pinto but who wants to drive? And the world is watching and seems to be turned of to the whole idea when they see too many cheap Christians trying to get something for nothing. If you say you received Christ but didn’t give Him your entire life you’re like an unfaithful husband or wife. There’s no questioning His devotion, He gave everything even His life. People that say they “get saved” just so they can go to heaven when they die are the ultimate rip off when it comes to the representation of the relationship. The ambassadors of the Almighty are not just handing out complementary tickets to a “free ride!” If you want the real deal it’s going to cost you everything.

Consider the exchange and you will see that this is really the best deal ever! You give God your everything and He gives you His everything. Gods really got everything and in comparison your all is like nothing but it’s yours so it’s valuable to you. You start with the devotion of your heart and give your life and invite Him in. When you do He fills you with His super-natural Love. He gives you His nature and then you understand the Divine devotion. You are enriched in everything because you’ve received Him who has and is everything. You give Him your temporary life and He gives you His life eternal. What you get is really priceless but you can obtain it for the mere cost of everything you have. And when you get done with the exchange you’ll be as for from broke as you can be, because you will actually become child and heir of the Almighty and Omnipotent Owner of everything!

2 Cor 5:14-15
14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. NKJV

John 1:12-13
2 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: NKJV

2 Peter 1:2-4
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
NKJV

2 Peter 1:3-4
3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).
4 By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.

2 Cor 9:6-15
6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written:

"He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever."

10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, 13 while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, 14 and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:
Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are ENRICHED IN EVERYTHING for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. (2 Cor 9:10-11 NKJV caps. added)

2 Cor 9:11
…wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.

2 Cor 9:11
11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

2 Cor 9:11

Giving-Thanks-Happy!

Giving thanks makes you happy! A positive perspective and attitude of gratitude brightens your life and puts you in position to prosper. If you are not thankful for what you have why should God give you more to be unthankful for? But when you are thankful you open the door for more. Being grateful makes you great and opens wide heavens gate. When you perceive and appreciate all that God does give the abundant life you start to live. Receive His grace and blessing everyday then turn around and give it away! Let God’s lavish love satiate you and overflow for everyone around to know. Thanksgiving’s not just a day but a lifestyle, do it everyday and you will smile. Because when you’re grateful within you’ll be great without that’s what being thankful is all about!

Ps 107:8-9
8 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
9 For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness.
NKJV

1 Thess 5:16-18
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
NKJV

Rev 7:12
"Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen."
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

2 Cor 2:14
14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
NKJV

2 Cor 2:14-15
14 But I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ. Wherever we go, God uses us to make clear what it means to know Christ. It's like a fragrance that fills the air.
GOD'S WORD

2 Cor 2:14
14 And I got it, thank God!
In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance.

Just Listen!

“Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live…”
Isa 55:2-3aNKJV

Your Heavenly Father is speaking to you everyday if you’ll just stop and listen you’ll hear what He has to say. He will comfort, console and counsel your soul. You will sense His affection, His love you will know. Your confidence will rise, your heart excite in surprise. And you’ll be fulfilled as His glory’s revealed!

Then you will know just what to do your life will be changed as His radiance shines through. The gloom will depart as He shows the way so just stop and listen, He’s there everyday!

Prov 8:32-35
32 "Now therefore, listen to me, my children,
For blessed are those who keep my ways.
33 Hear instruction and be wise,
And do not disdain it.
34 Blessed is the man who listens to me,
Watching daily at my gates,
Waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 For whoever finds me finds life,
And obtains favor from the Lord;

Isa 50:4-5
The Master, God, has given me
a well-taught tongue,
So I know how to encourage tired people.
He wakes me up in the morning,
Wakes me up, opens my ears
to listen as one ready to take orders.
5 The Master, God, opened my ears,

didn't pull the covers back over my head.

Do You Got the Guts?

Count the cost and prepare to pay before you ever take the first step the first day. Prepare not only to pay but to persevere in paying until you get the goal. If you’re not completely committed your resolve is weak and your outlook bleak. You have to take the time to become confident, convicted, convinced that you can do it, “so help me God!” and say, “ I commit, I will not quit, no matter what!” When you decide you want to gain ground you’re in for a fight. The chronic condition will mock you and say, “Don’t start something that you can’t finish!” And the fear of failure will chime in, “here we go again.” And the old saying is true, “no guts no glory.” Because anyone can start a fight but if you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to finish you will fail. You can be as intense as you want in the beginning but it won’t matter if you get your head beat in at the end. You’ve seen people start things with great enthusiasm over and over but never win. It would be better to start out slow and increase little by little because endurance is more important than intensity. You need to take the time to get the guts before you go. Simulate the situation, understand the adversity and pay the price and become mentally tough before you begin. See yourself absolutely committed and in no way acquitted from the promises that you’ve made to yourself and God. When you finally get the guts to persevere through all the pain and ruts then God will help you get the glory. But how can He help a quitter or a bench sitter? You can pray for God to give you victory and He will strengthen you with might but you still have to fight the fight and fight it to the finish. So everyday as you pray and fellowship with God you are strengthened from within then you take His grace and persevere and win. And when you will not quit nor draw back you’ll eventually overcome every attack. When you have the supremacy before you go your old weak self you’ll overthrow and the glory of God will soon show! So get the guts and go!

Heb 10:35-39
5 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

37 "For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him."

39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
NKJV

Heb 10:35-39
35 So don't throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It's still a sure thing! 36 But you need to stick it out, staying with God's plan so you'll be there for the promised completion.

37 It won't be long now, he's on the way;
he'll show up most any minute.
38 But anyone who is right with me thrives on loyal trust;
if he cuts and runs, I won't be very happy.

39 But we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We'll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way.
MES

PIE90 Scripture:

Heb 10:35-36
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.
36 For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.

Pray the Price

If you will pray the price then you will be enabled to pay the price. It’s time to get your God given goals for 2010 so you can prepare to persevere. How will you know what God wants you to do unless you ask? Once you know then you will have to count the cost and commit. Commitment is the foundation that you build your dreams on. If your commitment is weak you will falter and fail in the midst of adversity. But if you will take time to establish a permanent decision you will be able to change your life forever.

I believe God is leading us to get fit for our King in every area of life! In order to accomplish we need a plan and a strong will to fulfill. We need to be strengthened by God’s grace to keep the pace and run our race until the end. We need to decide to abide in His presence by being continually aware in the process of prayer. Prayer is simply connecting and staying “online” with the Almighty. Through this connection we sense God’s affection and get divine direction. We are filled with His love and strengthened with His joy His plan to employ. As we receive we’re quickened to believe for it’s our faith that enables us to achieve.

So here’s what you should do, get ready to be ready and follow through. Get the goals and count the cost and commence to commit. Everyday between now and the New Year think about and reinforce your conviction. Take the time to become resolute so you can keep your resolutions. Get the guts to go for it and absolutely refuse to quit before you begin. Then when the time comes you’ll be ready and stay steady and continue to overcome adversity. You have to win within before you win without. But once you get the victory on the inside it won’t be long before it manifests on the outside.

Prayer is like a supernatural arena that we train in so that when we go out into the battle we are fit for the service of the King. Everyday we need to be empowered and instructed before we encounter the enemy. Don’t worry if you don’t know what’s happening when you pray just take the time to do it. It’s like “wax on, wax off” and you have no idea how it’s helping until later. When the time comes then you will see. So in the mean time just put yourself in the care of the Master and trust His wisdom. God knows exactly what He’s doing and your part is simply talking and listening and reading and writing. Then you’re enlightened, instructed and empowered in acting. This is the purpose of PIE that you may pray, plan and perform His will. And it’s amazingly wonderful to walk in His wonders and it just seems to happen super-naturally when you pray the price to access His wisdom.

So here’s the Plan for 2010.

1. Pray - Apply PIE everyday! – Pray the Price!
(If you don’t know PIE see the previous notes or let me know and I’ll send it to you)
2. Get the Goals
3. Count the Cost
4. Prepare to PAY
5. Proceed to PAY
6. Persevere in PAYING
7. Endure to the End until you HAVE IT in hand.
8. Maintain your Gain.

Col 1:9-14 NKJV (caps. added)
“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to PRAY for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Col 1:11-13
11 We are praying, too, that you will be filled with his mighty, glorious strength so that you can keep going no matter what happens-always full of the joy of the Lord, 12 and always thankful to the Father who has MADE US FIT to share all the wonderful things that belong to those who live in the Kingdom of light.

Stop Talkin and Start Walkin!

Prayer proceeds power and puts a demand on provision. But after you ask then you need to act. You may need help just to get across town. Open your mouth and pray listen to what God has to say then get busy and obey. You can try to “commune” the couch all day (also known as sleep praying) but after a while you should get up and go do something. If you’re waiting for the limo service or a Fed Ex check you’ll probably just sit around and get fat while you ask God to make you skinny and rich. Why don’t you stop talking and start walking? That would help increase your metabolism and He said that he would prosper “the work of your hand” not “the cushion of your rear.” You’ve probably got plenty of cushion already, that may be why you’ve been praying and need to start walking. “But I only have two dollars that’s not even enough for a gallon of gas!” God can’t order your steps until you start stepping. He may lead you down the street and help you get an awesome deal on a great bike at yard sale (then you can make a sweet jump and hang out with Napoleon). You’ve been asking God to help you be healthy and while your neighbor has been praying and asking for a few more dollars. Yay! It’s a win/win situation and it looks like God’s right in the middle of it. God may lead you right down to the bus stop. We don’t have busses here in the boondocks but sometimes people are still riding horses or driving tractors in town. I knew a lady that believed that God wanted her in Delta, CO but she was waiting for God to “translate” her there. And while God can beam Scotty up and down or all around if He wants to usually just tells Scotty to go get in the car. Because you can pray and pray and pray but if you don’t obey you’re not going far. And she’s still waiting for God and God’s still waiting for her. Remember the Dr. Seuss story of the North and South going Zax. That picture is stuck in my head and face to face they went nowhere while life goes on without them. Prayer is face to face time with God and you need the face the face before the race. But then living with God is like rally racing and He gives you the directions as you go. It’s “real time” and if you’ve been talking a lot and hearing a little lately maybe you just need to get movin. Because if with God you’re a like a Zax then probably right now you’re stuck in your tracks.

Dr. Seuss

“One day, making tracks
In the prairie of Prax,
Came a North-Going Zax
And a South-Going Zax.

And it happened that both of them came to a place
Where they bumped. There they stood.
Foot to foot. Face to face.

"Look here, now!" the North-Going Zax said, "I say!
You are blocking my path. You are right in my way.
I'm a North-Going Zax and I always go north.
Get out of my way, now, and let me go forth!"

"Who's in whose way?" snapped the South-Going Zax.
"I always go south, making south-going tracks.
So you're in MY way! And I ask you to move
And let me go south in my south-going groove."

Then the North-Going Zax puffed his chest up with pride.
"I never," he said, "take a step to one side.
And I'll prove to you that I won't change my ways
If I have to keep standing here fifty-nine days!"

"And I'll prove to YOU," yelled the South-Going Zax,
"That I can stand here in the prairie of Prax
For fifty-nine years! For I live by a rule
That I learned as a boy back in South-Going School.
Never budge! That's my rule. Never budge in the least!
Not an inch to the west! Not an inch to the east!
I'll stay here, not budging! I can and I will
If it makes you and me and the whole world stand still!"

Well...
Of course the world didn't stand still. The world grew.
In a couple of years, the new highway came through
And they built it right over those two stubborn Zax
And left them there, standing un-budge in their tracks.”

1 Cor 9:24

WOW!

Fellowship with God worship and drink,
All of the wonderful thoughts that He thinks!

Your mind will amaze, your heart be set ablaze,
You’ll be empowered to walk in His ways!

By His love you’ll be thrilled, overfilled and then spilled,
Overflowing from you His kingdom He’ll build!

PIE90 Scripture:
Ps 63:2
So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open,
drinking in your strength and glory.

Ps 63 - MESSAGE
1 God — you're my God!
I can't get enough of you!
I've worked up such hunger and thirst for God,
traveling across dry and weary deserts.

2 So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open,
drinking in your strength and glory.
3 In your generous love I am really living at last!
My lips brim praises like fountains.
4 I bless you every time I take a breath;
My arms wave like banners of praise to you.

5 I eat my fill of prime rib and gravy;
I smack my lips. It's time to shout praises!
6 If I'm sleepless at midnight,
I spend the hours in grateful reflection.
7 Because you've always stood up for me,
I'm free to run and play.
8 I hold on to you for dear life,
and you hold me steady as a post.

9 Those who are out to get me are marked for doom,
marked for death, bound for hell.
10 They'll die violent deaths;
jackals will tear them limb from limb.
11 But the king is glad in God;
his true friends spread the joy,
While small-minded gossips
are gagged for good.

Ps 63:1-5
1 O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.
2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.

3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
4 Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.
NKJV

Ps 63:2-5
2 I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.

and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

Ps 63:3-5

lifting up my hands to you in prayer.
5 You satisfy me more than the richest feast.
I will praise you with songs of joy.

I will raise my hands to you in prayer.
5 My soul will feast and be satisfied,
and I will sing glad songs of praise to you.

Mundane or Majestic

Enthusiasm I’m thankful for, for when it’s lacking life seems a bore. Help me to live with passion I pray, and to make the most of everyday!

Sometimes life can seem mundane and when you feel listless you need help from heaven. Mundane is defined as worldly, as distinguished from heavenly, commonplace, everyday and ordinary. Does that pretty much describe your life? Sometimes I feel that way but I think life looks like what you look at. If you go around peering down life seems like dirt but if you look up divine. Your natural tendency is to focus on the natural but if you want to add some super to your natural and some extra to your ordinary you will need to change your perception. Supernatural and extraordinary things happen every day but most people miss them simply because they are not looking. You can drive through the mountains and be in awe of their beauty or let life pass you by while you watch a movie of the mountains on your iPod. Life is grand but if you’re not careful you will take something meant to be majestic and make it a mouse. You don’t need some new event to and enhance your existence but only change your perception to see the manifestation of God's magnificence.

If you want to live divinely inspired you will need some Divine inspiration. And where does this come from in any situation? You have to draw it from the Source or this provision won’t change your course. You have to open the spout where the glory flows out and it streams from within. Inspiration will come when you seek God and give Him an invitation.

Fellowship with the Almighty, relish and drink,
All of wonderful thoughts that He thinks.

Look to God and behold,
Glorious, treasures unfold.

He is the Source, the True Inspiration
He’s only awaiting, your invitation.

Jer 29:11-14
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
NKJV

Jer 33:3
3 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

John 7:37-38
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
NKJV

John 7:37-38
37 Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!

38 He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.

Friend! – True or False?

For our relationships to stay fit we need to be friendly. Sometimes those we love the most we seem to show we love the least. When we know someone is loyal it’s easy to be selfish because a true friend won’t “write you off” when you act like a jerk. That’s a great reason not to act like one but most people treat their “customers” better that their confidants. A true friend is one who will give of themselves not just try to get, get, get. The mature are willing to sacrifice while adolescent affection demands attention.

Don’t pretend to be a friend if you only want to be an associate. Be upfront and honest with people and don’t expect them to give of themselves unless you do. Don’t try to get something from them unless you’re willing to do something for them. That’s a mutual exchange a win/win situation. But taking advantage of people is a sin/win situation. If by false affection you manipulate and sin to win you will ostracize your friends. And if you have to sin to win you will eventually lose because this is not the right path to choose. What you sow you will reap and you’ll end up torn, scorned and forlorn.

It’s hard not to be a scrooge at heart,
I need God’s help from selfishness to depart.
I receive the love He has to give,
So I can love others and truly live.

It’s “more blessed to give than to receive”
So I’ll live my life, like thus I believe.
And as I sow by God’s Word I know,
It’s what I give that makes things grow.

PIE90 Scripture:

Prov 18:24
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Who’s in Charge?

“Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.”
Matt 6:10 NKJV

This is an amazing prayer and statement full of power and life changing revelation!

First of all we understand that we pray to, OUR FATHER. I like the way the Message says it.

Matt 6:6-10 MESSAGE
"Here's what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won't be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.

"The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They're full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don't fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this:

Our Father…”

So:
• Find a quiet place … Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage…
• Focus on God… sense His grace...
• This is YOUR FATHER you are dealing with….
• …and He knows better than you what you need…
• With a God like this loving you…
• you can pray very simply…
• Like this: OUR FATHER…

“Your kingdom come.”

You have to get the Kingdom in your heart before you’ll experience in your life. The King-dom is the Kings dominion and you receive it when you acknowledge Jesus as Lord and invite Him to rule and reign in your life. He is the Awesome and Almighty King and “His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.” (Dan 7:27) But He becomes your King when you receive Him. The moment you do He sends His Spirit into your heart and gives you the right, power and privilege to be reborn as royalty. You actually become, “children of God” and that makes God Almighty your Heavenly Father and you part of His imperial family.

A good king takes care of His people. To do it well he must rule in their hearts before he can reign in their lands. If the king does not have the heart and loyalty of the people then rebellion is eminent. So God came to first establish His kingdom on the inside before He sets it up on the outside.

Luke 17:20-21

20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."
NKJV

“The kingdom of God is within you.” Is it? Not only in theory but does Jesus actually rule and reign in your life and exercise dominion over your decisions? Or do you? Who’s in charge here? If you are that makes you someone that thinks that you should be king and if you’re king in your own life that makes you responsible to protect and provide for your own needs and the needs of “your” people. But if you acknowledge God’s dominion, give Him your heart and let Him rule on the inside then He will begin to manifest His Kingdom and blessings on the outside.

In your heart God abides He protects and provides!
It’s when He leads that He supplies all your needs.
It will happen day by day as you pray and say,
“Your kingdom come. Your will be done,
(IN MY HEART AND LIFE) On earth as it is in heaven.”

WOW! That’s awesome! “Your will be done ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN” What does that mean to you? Think about it all day, tell me what you think and I’ll write more about it tomorrow.

Have a great day and be blessed in every way!

PIE90 Scripture:

Matt 6:10
“Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.”
NKJV

Matt 6:10
10 We ask that your kingdom will come now. May your will be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven.
TLB

Matt 6:10
10 May your kingdom come
and what you want be done,
here on earth as it is in heaven.
NCV

Matt 6:10
10 'Thy reign come: Thy will come to pass, as in heaven also on the earth.

Will God Enable What You Disable?

God’s will is good health but we have to choose to do His will or we are undoing it.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
3 John 2 KJV

Webster’s defines health as physical and mental well-being; freedom from disease, pain, or defect; normalcy of physical and mental functions and soundness.

God created our bodies to heal themselves and thank Him for that! He wants us well, to be well and do well just like any good Father desires for His children. So if good health His will why are so many unwell? One of the main reasons is because we need to learn to cooperate and take care of ourselves. Making poor health choices is rebelling against God’s will. Our body is His temple and He doesn’t want it open to destructive elements or neglected by lack of maintenance.

He is so serious about us being in good condition that He sent His only Son Jesus to die to redeem us from the curse of sickness. In the light of that if we do things that we know cause poor health then we mock God’s Son and His sacrifice. Destroying our mind and body and then asking God to fix it is ignorant. It’s like driving down an icy road at ninety-nine miles per and praying that we don’t wreck. You will crash and it’s not God’s fault!

And the same is true with your health, if you stay on the wrong road you will end up in the Hospital. God is merciful but He wants to help us change our ways so that He can change our lives. When your “sin” causes you to reap the consequences of the curse you can go to God and He wants to heal you but you will probably need to “repent.” That means to change your mind and go the other way because if you keep going down the wrong road and wrecking your health the answer is not to keep praying for God to heal you the answer is to turn around and find another way.

The same is true in every area mentally, physically, financially, relationally – we can’t expect to be rich if we’re making poor choices. If we’re bad stewards of our bodies and believe God will take up the slack and deliver us from the consequences then we’re dumb and deceived and that’s really the root of the problem. If we want to be healthy first we will need to stop being stupid and destroying our bodies. God is ready, willing and able to do miracles but we can’t expect Him “make exceptions” for us and enable us to be irresponsible and not have to deal with any consequences. That would be like an alcoholic kid going to his father and saying, “I know you love me so give me a lifetime supply of liquor and make sure I don’t get in any trouble, but if I do make sure to come and bail me out quick so I can get back to drinking!” This is exactly how many people are with their health and they want miracles but the main miracle that God wants to provide is the power to change our destructive habits.

If we cooperate with God we will operate in His power, and if we don’t we won’t. If we choose His ways we will walk in His will, and if we don’t we won’t. If we take care of our bodies God will help us, and if we don’t He won’t. Because why should He do for us what we are unwilling to at least try to do for ourselves?

John 5:1-15
5 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?"

7 The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me."

8 Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.

And that day was the Sabbath. 10 The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, "It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed."

11 He answered them, "He who made me well said to me, 'Take up your bed and walk.'"

12 Then they asked him, "Who is the Man who said to you, 'Take up your bed and walk'?" 13 But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. 14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you."

15 The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
NKJV

John 8:1-12
But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?" 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first." 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"

11 She said, "No one, Lord."

And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

John 5:11, 14

... 14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you."

Willing to Die Worthy of Honor

Sacrifice is often preached by ministers buy more often practiced by those in the military. Just in day to day living they give up the comforts of home and give their lives to live under the regimen of another. I’m sure there many reasons for joining the armed forces but I think in the heart of the majority there has to be a deep sense of honor. Somehow they understand honor and the price paid by others and that freedom does not come without sacrifice. So in honor they lay down part of their freedom as a sacrifice for freedom. They give what they’ve been given so others can be free with the knowledge that it may cost them their life. And what more could they give that that? Many have already died and paid the ultimate price for freedom and so we honor their sacrifice. Many still serve and to serve is also translated to minister. The people in the military minister to the needs of our nation and fight for our rights and liberty. The government can be correct or misdirected but the soldiers and others serving deserve our respect. It doesn’t matter if we “agree” with the agenda or not we should never dishonor those who are actually willing to lay down our lives that we may be free. So for all those who have served, are serving or will serve thank you for making the choice and being willing to die because being willing to die is worthy of honor. And as a Pastor I thank you for paying the price so I have the freedom to preach and teach others about The Sacrifice.

Matt 20:25-28
25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. 26 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave — 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
NKJV

If you’ve served in the military and didn’t get a medal then take this honor as a token of our appreciation. And I believe there will be great rewards in heaven because God never overlooks a true sacrifice.

Eph 6:5-8
5 Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; 6 not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7 with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, 8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
NKJV

Rom 13:7
Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
NIV

John 15:13-14
13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.
NKJV

Rom 5:6-8
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture: John 3:16 and or response to it - 1 Jn 3:16

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
NKJV

1 John 3:16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
NKJV

What has God led you do to serve others? When you give up something to help others you “lay down your lives” and this is your ministry and it’s your sacrifice.

Good Trip!

Find your purpose in prayer and take the power to the people! Jesus rose before daylight to fellowship with the Father and when He came out of the place prayer He knew His purpose and was empowered to fulfill it. Jesus “practiced P.I.E.” and that’s exactly what I’ve been preaching all year!

Mark 1:35-39 (Caps. added)
35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while BEFORE DAYLIGHT, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He PRAYED. 36 And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. 37 When they found Him, they said to Him, "Everyone is looking for You."
38 But He said to them, "Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this PURPOSE I have come forth."
39 And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.
NKJV

If the Jesus rises up early to fellowship with the Father then His disciples should do the same. We need to follow Him and not get caught sleeping when we ought to be praying or we might fall into temptation.

Matt 26:40-41
40 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? 41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." NKJV

Hab 2:1-2
2 I will stand my watch
And set myself on the rampart,
And watch to see what He will say to me,
And what I will answer when I am corrected.

2 Then the Lord answered me and said:

"Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
NKJV

I hope you’re not getting tired of hearing this but you’ll never know how good P.I.E. is unless you discipline yourself to “eat” it everyday. There are no day old doughnuts in the place of prayer because God gives you supernatural manna from heaven. In fellowship with your Father you will find “daily bread” and Jesus said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”(Jn 6:63b) Attend to His Words, “For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.” (Prov 4:22) And "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:31-32) WOW! Eat the Awesome PIE because it is stuffed with the very vitality if the Almighty! It’s filled with love, joy, peace, power and all the goodness of God. So stop in early and get God’s gourmet goods. Eating this P.I.E. will change your life and you’ll be on a heavenly trip and fulfill His mission! LOL

Acts 10:38-39
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
NKJV

Matt 4:23-24
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

Proto-Prayer Transformer

Prayer is the primary priority. When we pray we connect with God then we have access and are able to “download” infinite information. When connected we can be directed. We also receive “the supply of the Spirit” and tremendous power which enables us to be a blessing and walk in His will. If we don’t recharge we’ll get run down and weak. But we can stay constantly connected by fixing our awareness on Him.

The world is trying to conform us to its mold while God is working to transform us to His ways. As we pray and spend time in God’s presence and meditate on His Word we are transformed and then we become transformers. This is what Jesus did and how He taught us to live. Pray, be transformed and then take the power to the people!

Luke 9:28-29
28 Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray. 29 As He prayed, the appearance of His face w
NKJV

Mark 9:2-4
2 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. 3 His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
NKJV

Mark 9:2
2 Six days after this, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves. And He was transfigured before them and became resplendent with divine brightness.

Mark 9:2-4
2 Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus' appearance was transformed, 3 and his clothes became dazzling white, far whiter than any earthly bleach could ever make them.
NLT

This Greek word “metamorphoo” is only used four times in the New Testament (Mt 17:2, Mk 9:2, Rom 12:2, 2 Cor 3:18) and is translated TRANSFIGURED, TRANSFORMED and CHANGED. You could say that when we pray we experience metamorphosis and are empowered to be what God wants us to be. And if we skip the process we just go out and look and act like slimy worms. When Jesus spent time with God “on the mountain” He glowed, When Moses spent time with God “on the mountain” he came back glowing. So if you want to grow and help others know then you gotta pray and glow before you go.

2 Cor 3:18
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Fail or Finish - Qualified or Disqualified

It doesn’t matter how well you’ve run the race or played the game if you don’t finish it you’ll be disqualified. If you loose your intensity in the end and don’t play to win you will fail. “The season” of gluttony and financial unrestraint is about to come upon us and many will yield to temptation and use “the Holidays” as an excuse and choose to lose. It’s not time to slack because if you do you’ll surely lack. It’s time to put in the winning effort and push yourself to obtain the victory - To go against the flow and believe and achieve and prepare for next year. And to start thinking about your goals for 2010 and getting ready to start next years race in top condition! The Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts are not the problem but the general lack of self restraint leading up to them. So beware or you’ll get caught in the snare and end up wondering why you lost and cry. If you “cast off restraint” you just might die so why not give something new a try. Spend Q4 getting fit for our King and start next year in full swing!

Prov 29:18 KJV
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
NKJV
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint;
But happy is he who keeps the law.
MES
If people can't see what God is doing,
they stumble all over themselves;
But when they attend to what he reveals,
they are most blessed.
TLB
When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild.
But whoever obeys the law is joyful.
NCV
Where there is no word from God, people are uncontrolled,
but those who obey what they have been taught are happy.

Prov 23:19-21
19 Hear, my son, and be wise;
And guide your heart in the way.
20 Do not mix with winebibbers,
Or with gluttonous eaters of meat;
21 For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty,
And drowsiness will clothe a man with rags.
NKJV

2 Tim 4:7 (Caps. added)
7 I have fought the good fight, I have FINISHED THE RACE, I have kept the faith.
NKJV

1 Cor 9:24-27 (Caps. added)
24 Do you not know that those who run in a RACE all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become DISQUALIFIED.
NKJV

Col 1:12 (Caps. added)
…giving thanks to the Father who has QUALIFIED us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

Prov 23:21
21 For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty,
And drowsiness will clothe a man with rags.
NKJV

Prov 23:21
21 Drunks and gluttons will end up on skid row,
in a stupor and dressed in rags.
MES

Prov 23:21
For those who take delight in drink and feasting will come to be in need; and through love of sleep a man will be poorly clothed.
BBE

Prov 23:20-21
20 Do not associate with those who drink too much wine,
with those who eat too much meat,
21 because both a drunk and a glutton will become poor.
Drowsiness will dress a person in rags.
GW

Prov 23:20-21
20 Don't associate with people who drink too much wine or stuff themselves with food. 21 Drunkards and gluttons will be reduced to poverty. If all you do is eat and sleep, you will soon be wearing rags.

Ya Snooze Ya Lose!

As I was rolling over in bed this morning I looked at the door and this scripture came to mind.

Prov 26:14
14 Just as a door turns on its hinges,
so a lazybones turns back over in bed.

Prov 26:13-15
The lazy man won't go out and work. "There might be a lion outside!" he says. 14 He sticks to his bed like a door to its hinges!
TLB

Prov 26:14
14 Lazy people turn over in bed. They get no farther than a door swinging on its hinges.
GNT

Maybe God was trying to tell me something. We need our rest to maintain fitness in every area and the Bible also says.

Ps 127:2
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.
NKJV

Ps 127:2
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.
NKJV

Ps 127:2
2 It is senseless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, fearing you will starve to death; for God wants his loved ones to get their proper rest.
TLB

So where’s the balance, and how much rest is “proper”? It depends on the person and I believe God will help you schedule your life if you seek Him. As a general rule we need at least seven hours of sleep every night and especially if we are in the habit of exercising which we should be.

Seek first God’s kingdom and His will; you’re going nowhere lying still.
You’ve heard the old saying; “ya snooze ya loose!” the key is to get up at the time you choose.
Don’t let morning foggy head change your mind, don’t roll back over and start your day behind.
If your life is full of sleeping binges, then you’re like a door swinging on its hinges.

God’s mercy is new every day, His plan revealed as you pray.
Diligently keep the morning meeting; it’s more important than the food you’re eating.
Get good rest to be your best, but don’t ‘skip’ God and get stressed not blessed.
Be determined to first keep “eating PIE” because you need your fuel before you fly.

So today is day 42 of this round of the PIE90 Challenge, how are you doing? I’m running late today but still determined to do it. If you will “apply PIE” it will change your life forever and I believe you will fulfill God’s will. If you’ve missed some days don’t get down and discouraged just GET UP AND GET GOING and especially in the morning! You can do it if you will! The more time spend time fellowshipping with God the more you begin to think and act like Him and the more you act like Him the more you’ll win!

PIE
1. Pray - fellowship, communicate, talk and listen, read, write, journal, meditate, tune in
2. Itemize - PLAN - WRITE IT DOWN - list - admonitions, "get the hint," info. - P.S. it - SCHEDULE
3. Exercise - PERFORM, execute, accomplish, fulfill, ACT, action, actors

PIE90 Scripture:

Matt 6:33
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
NKJV

Cheers! Before Cheers!

Feeling tired, dehydrated and down? You don’t need another shot of Java what you need is some joy juice! Joy is the juice of the fruit of the Spirit. Not fermented and rotten but spiked with life by the Holy Spirit. If you will partake, then you will see, that He’ll fill your heart with glee. Joy is like the cup that draws your life up. When you rejoice (praise, shout, dance, jump, leap, spin, etc) then you turn on the faucet within and your life starts to fill up and be infused with divine life. You are hydrated, quickened and strengthened with joy so you can keep your pace and run your race enduring until the end. Joy is the ultimate energy drink! Have you ever seen a tired haggard joyful person? Not so much. Joy will vitalize and revolutionalize your life your life and change your perspective on everything. You’ll begin to see yourself strong, and be yourself strong - strengthened with might through His Spirit in your inner man. The abundant life of the Almighty is in you but you need to “DRAW” it out. Some people have a wine cellar in their house but it will have no “effect” on their lives unless they open it up. And God has given you not rotten grapes but the new wine of the fruit of the Spirit – it’s in you! And it will quicken you when you “drink” it! Rejoicing! – And especially in the midst of trial and tribulation “pops the cork” and gives you an infusion of “liquid courage!” It makes you strong and able to endure hardship so that you can finish your race WITH JOY and glorify God by overcoming and not just undergoing all the “normally scheduled” trails and tribulations. And HA, HA! Is what you say right before you pull out your sword and start routing the enemy! So you can either mope and “try” to cope, or take God’s Word and rejoice, it’s your choice! Complaining will land you in debtor’s prison but God’s joy will give you freedom, life, strength and vision. Some things won’t change but you can always “take a drink” and change the way you see and think. Being depressed will put you in the slums so chug God’s joy and overcome!

PIE90 Scripture:

John 16:33
33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
NKJV

HA, HA!

Ps 31:24
24 So cheer up! Take courage if you are depending on the Lord.

11 The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to DRAW with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?"

13 Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

Acts 20:22-24
22 And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there, 23 except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me. 24 But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my RACE with JOY, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
NKJV

Col 1:10-14
10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering WITH JOY 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
NKJV

Heb 12:1-3
12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the JOY that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
NKJV

Col 1:11-14
11 We pray that you'll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul — not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into JOY, 12 thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us.
13 God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He's set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, 14 the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.

Need a Drink?

How about a shot of joy! Joy is part of the fruit of the Spirit. When you drink of this fruit you will be encouraged and empowered to do Gods will and enjoy it! We’ve been challenged to get fit for our King and the training has been intense and difficult lately but that’s okay because WE”VE GOT JOY! We are “training for reigning” under the strictest regimen and we’ll not make it without joy because, “the joy of the Lord is our strength.” Joy gives us the power to endure. And “you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. (Heb 10:36) We NEED to be diligent and endure until the end and the Bible says, “…my God shall supply all your NEED according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:19) He has what you need! In His presence is ”fullness of Joy!” You don’t need Him to “make life easier” for you and that’s not what He said that He would do. What He said is that He would be with you and give you power to overcome. As you exercise your power to prevail you get stronger and then God can give you bigger challenges and victories! As long as we are in this world we will have tribulation but “it’s no problem!” as long as we realize that you have the ultimate Champion living on the inside of us! Our obstacles and opponent shall become smaller and you yield to the training for reigning from within.

Joy Drunken Brawl or Ball

What your adversary wants to do, is sap the joy and strength from you.
But if you frown you’re goin down so run your sorrow out of town.

Make a choice, to rejoice, sing and dance and raise your voice!
Be of good cheer, have no fear, and kick the devil in the rear!

HA, HA, HA! Is what to say.
Because you receive God’s joy, when you laugh and pray!

Be filled with joy, bold and strong.
And whip the enemy all day long!

James 1:2-8
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
NKJV

1 Peter 1:7-9

DOING GOD’S WILL OR UNDOING IT?

You are either doing God’s will or not and if you’re not then you’re undoing it. It’s hard to make any progress when you go around undoing everything that He’s doing. It’s like the old saying, “Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shoveling the walk while it is snowing.” Have you ever done something and then turned around and it’s undone? Are you working to get a paycheck that’s spent before you get it? Do you have chronic crisis – spiritually, mentally, physically, financially, and relationally? If things aren’t going right it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that you must be doing something wrong. IT’S NOT GODS FAULT! He’s perfect so He doesn’t have any. And He’s working on perfecting you but He needs some cooperation. He wants to help you clean up every area of your life – spiritually, mentally, physically, financially, relationally but how can He when you keep making messes?

I was thinking about this most of the day yesterday and the Lord was showing areas where I was asking and believing for His will do and then undoing it. Try it for yourself if you want some constructive critical coaching. It will probably hurt your feelings. Then you will also get to endure the pain of discipline if you want to solve and not just revolve your problems. You will pay a price to walk in God’s will, it’s called obedience but it’s not anywhere near the price of suffering you will pay if you don’t.

Here are a few quick examples:

God’s will is:

Perfect Peace – Isa 26:3, Jn 14:27…
God has given us perfect peace but to maintain and experience it we have to keep our minds fixed on Him and His promises and resist the temptation to worry and fret. We have perfect peace the very peace of God Himself but if we choose to think about all kinds of other “refuse” then we are undoing it. God’s will we choose or refuse.

Divine Health – Isa 53:4-5, Mt 8:17, I Pe 2:24, Prov 4:20-23, Ps 107:20-21…
God created our bodies to resist sickness and heal themselves. Jesus want around healing every sickness and every disease, His body was broken, bled and He died to make us whole. He sent His Word to impart life and gave us His Spirit to help us make wise decisions. If we make poor health choices like eating junk, not exercising or practicing physically destructive habits then we are undoing His will. It’s not right to ask God to build and heal what we destroy. Our bodies are His temple so we are obligated to and cooperate with his will and take care of them - like it or not. Poor health choices are really an insult to the cross of Christ. So how can we keep undoing what He’s doing and expect to be well?

Prosperity – 3 Jn 1:2, Ps 35:27, 115:14KJV, 2 Cor 8:9, Php 4:19…
God said that He would be our source and supply all our need. That He would give us increase “more and more” us and our children. He said that we could not serve both Him and money and that the borrower is servant to the lender. So if we’re serving the lender then we’re undoing His increase by giving all the interest to the lender. “I borrowed to try to get my needs met now it’s my master and I’m its pet; this is called the disease of debt!” Ouch! That’s what the Lord was telling me. If we serve the enemy we will be in bondage and how can He deliver us when we keep running back to Egypt? This thing has spread like a cancer and is destroying many households. God’s people are groaning because of their bondage crying out for deliverance and it seems that the Lord is saying how can I help you when you keep borrowing and borrowing undoing my will?

I’ve been increasing ever since I got saved and believing for God’s provision and He’s been faithful to give it. But I was sad to find out that I had the disease of debt. He’s been giving me increase and I’ve been using it to get decrease – debt. Now I have a negative financial net worth when I should be increasing to “leave an inheritance for my children’s children. And I can pray, tithe, give and confess until I’m out of breath and I‘ll still be in bondage until I decide to get out of Egypt and stop undoing Gods will.

So I encourage you to take this question and start applying it to every area of your life, especially where you’re hurting the most. “AM I DOING GOD’S WILL OR UNDOING IT?”

Luke 22:42-43
42 saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done."
NKJV

Matt 6:8-13
8 "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
NKJV

Matt 7:24-27(caps. added)
24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and DOES them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26 "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and DOES NOT DO them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."
NKJV

James 1:21-25 (caps. added)
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be DOERS of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a DOER, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he DOES. NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

Isa 1:19-20

NKJV
9 If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land;
20 But if you refuse and rebel,
You shall be devoured by the sword";
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

MES
19 If you'll willingly obey,
you'll feast like kings.
20 But if you're willful and stubborn,
you'll die like dogs."
That's right. God says so.

TLB
19 If you will only let me help you, if you will only obey, then I will make you rich! 20 But if you keep on turning your backs and refusing to listen to me, you will be killed by your enemies; I, the Lord, have spoken."

Are You Doing It or Undoing It?

Why get fit for the King? Why should you take care of your spirit, soul, body, finances and relationships? Because it’s the right thing to do that’s why. Jesus allowed His body to be broken, His blood poured out, was separated from His Father, died on the cross, went to hell, took your torment and rose again so that you could be complete in every area. He was broken so that you could become whole. And now that you’ve been reconciled to God by Him, the Spirit of the Almighty has come to live within, set you free form the curse of sin and the process of a complete renewal inside and out has begin. He cared enough about your condition to die for you and is looking for some cooperation. You are His temple and your relationship with Him is the most costly and valuable asset that you possess. Jesus literally died and bore all the rejection, torture, pain and torment caused by bad and self destructive decisions. If you’ve accepted His sacrifice and belong to Him it’s not right to destroy with lazy bad habits what He perished to preserve. You should get every area of your life right because it has been given to Him. Is what you give to Him honorable? If you honor Him; spirit, soul, body, financially and especially in your relationships then it shows that you understand the awesome price He paid and your praise and worship is a matter of lifestyle and not just some surface “put on.” It’s not just your initial reaction to the gospel but your daily action that shows that you are truly a disciple of Christ. Being a disciple takes discipline, duh! Everybody wants to be “saved” and live the good life but nobody wants to sacrifice. But the solution is simple if you want to have what is good you must give up what’s bad. This is not some “deep” theology that no one can understand but just good common sense. If someone gives you a brand new car is it free? It may be initially but what about registration, fuel and maintenance? It will cost you something to drive it and maintain, and it will cost you more to keep it well. It will take time and money to overcome all the destructive elements. The same is true with your salvation, it’s free initially but it will cost you something to walk in it. He gave His all to make this venture work now the question is what will you give? He’s always available to empower you to overcome but you’re still the One who has to do the overcoming. There are too many “destructive elements” in this world for us to just live the good life without maintenance. The Master is your Mechanic but if you don’t spend any time “in the shop” then your life will flop. And how does that make Him look? He’s doing everything He can to help you but He can only help you do what you are doing. Are you doing His will or undoing it? When you choose to refuse His discipline and instruction you are undoing His will. And you can’t keep undoing what He’s doing and expect Him to make an exception and allow you to walk in His promises when you show by your inaction that His will is not what you want. God’s will is for you to be complete and whole in every area of life but what’s your will? By your decisions you show which way you will go. All the power of heaven is available to help you do what’s right. So why should you? To honor God, because you want the good life, and it’s the right thing to do!

Eph 2:10 AMP
For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

PIE90 Scripture:

Rom 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
NKJV

Rom 12:1-2

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life — your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life — and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. 2 Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
MES

Rom 12:1-2
I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

Ps 118:5-9
5 I called on the Lord in distress;
The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
6 The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?
7 The Lord is for me among those who help me;
Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in princes.
NKJV

Ps 118:5-7
5 Pushed to the wall, I called to God;
from the wide open spaces, he answered.
6 God's now at my side and I'm not afraid;
who would dare lay a hand on me?
7 God's my strong champion;
I flick off my enemies like flies.
MES

Ps 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
3 He has put a new song in my mouth —
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.
NKJV
