DO

If what you think you know isn’t working then you better go back to school. Not the school of man but the school of the Spirit. There’s an abundance of information available but it’s all in vain if you don’t know how to apply it. Education is good but it’s still hard to get a job without experience. And more education doesn’t always equal success. Among modern day “believers” there seems to a growing and disabling mindset – “If I just knew more then I could do more.” But it’s not just what you know, but Who you know. If you know God you know the One who knows everything. If you follow Him He will show you and teach you as you go. Have you noticed that we seem to be developing more students and less apprentices? Everybody seems to know everything but who’s doing something with their knowledge? Most people what to be a teacher and a leader but who can instruct without experience and how can anyone get experience without following? We need to stop just telling people what to do and start showing them. We say we “follow the Lord” but do we actually imitate Him or are we just watching? And if we don’t start doing something, even something small, how will we truly learn anything at all? Students study, disciples do! So which are you? I say it’s time to stop hiding behind education and get some experience. Enter into the apprenticeship of the Master. Begin to do what you believe He’s leading you to do. I know it’s scary, because you don’t know really how, and until you DO you never will.

James 1:22-25
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
NKJV

Matt 7:24-29
24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26 "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

28 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
NKJV

Matt 23:1-11
23 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, 2 saying: "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. 4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. 6 They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, 7 greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, 'Rabbi, Rabbi.' 8 But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. 9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.
NKJV

John 6:45a
45 It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught by God.'
NKJV

1 John 2:27
27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
NKJV

1 Thess 4:9
9 But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;
NKJV

Eph 5:1-2
5 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us…
NKJV

Matt 4:18-20
18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
NKJV

Ps 32:8-9
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.
NKJV

Ps 32:8-9
8 Let me give you some good advice;
I'm looking you in the eye
and giving it to you straight:

9 "Don't be ornery like a horse or mule
that needs bit and bridle
to stay on track."

The Holy One of Israel:
"I am the Lord your God,

And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

"I am God, your God,
who teaches you how to live right and well.
I show you what to do, where to go.

Blue or True

What do ya do when you’re feelin blue? Everybody has the temptation get down in the dumps at least once in a while. Sometimes it’s because of things that have or haven’t happened and occasionally you don’t know why but you just wanna cry. How long the gloom goes on greatly depends on you and what you choose to do. You can’t constantly control your circumstances but you can perpetually pick your perspective. Viewpoints - God offers His, the enemy the opposite and people propose theirs, which one will you choose? The Lord sees things in the light from above, the Devil in the darkness from below and people decide which way to look from the middle.

The Bible says, “…by grace you have been saved, and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Which is “FAR ABOVE all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.” So if you’ll spend time fellowshipping with God and thinking about what He said you’ll be able to rise above it all. When you see things from heaven you have Hope and Hope makes you happy. “The Joy of Lord is your strength” but if you wanna have joy you gotta rejoice! “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” and especially when you don’t feel like it.

When you live in the Light of God’s unchanging Word, does not all else seem utterly absurd? Who or what can contradict Him? Facts and circumstances constantly change but God’s Word is “settled in heaven” and eternally True. So what do ya do when you’re feelin blue, go fellowship with God and pick His point of view!

Eph 2:4-10
…by grace you have been saved, 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Eph 1:21 …FAR ABOVE all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Ps 2:4a
He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
NKJV

John 15:11

NKJV

Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
NKJV

Phil 4:4
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
NKJV

Forever, O Lord,
Your word is settled in heaven.
NKJV

John 8:31-32
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
NKJV

Ps 85:8-13
8 I will hear what God the Lord will speak,
For He will speak peace
To His people and to His saints;
But let them not turn back to folly.
9 Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
That glory may dwell in our land.

10 Mercy and truth have met together;
Righteousness and peace have kissed.
11 Truth shall spring out of the earth,
And righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12 Yes, the Lord will give what is good;
And our land will yield its increase.
13 Righteousness will go before Him,
And shall make His footsteps our pathway.

Simple

Just give me something simple.

1. Believe what God said.
2. Trust in Him.
3. Preach His Word.
4. Tell the truth.
5. Keep your word.
6. Live like Him.
7. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
8. Listen.
9. Don’t quit.
10. Keep it simple!

Luke 8:50
50 But Jesus, on hearing this, answered him, Do not be seized with alarm or struck with fear; simply believe [in Me as able to do this], and she shall be made well.
AMP

Ps 119:130
130 The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.
NKJV

Ps 19:7
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the [whole] person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
AMP

Matt 5:37
37 Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
NIV

Col 2:6-7
6 My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. 7 You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.
MES

Luke 6:31-32
31 "Here is a simple rule of thumb for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you; then grab the initiative and do it for them!
MES

1 Cor 2:1-2
you'll remember, friends, that when I first came to you to let you in on God's master stroke, I didn't try to impress you with polished speeches and the latest philosophy. 2 I deliberately kept it plain and simple: first Jesus and who he is; then Jesus and what he did — Jesus crucified.
MES

Col 1:27-28
27 God wanted everyone, not just Jews, to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of their religious standing. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, therefore you can look forward to sharing in God's glory. It's that simple. That is the substance of our Message.
MES

James 1:19-21
19 Post this at all the intersections, dear friends: Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear. 20 God's righteousness doesn't grow from human anger. 21 So throw all spoiled virtue and cancerous evil in the garbage. In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life.

2 Tim 4:2
2 so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don't ever quit. Just keep it simple.

Delight in the Light

Delighted and delightful, not words you hear very often these days. How many people do you know who delight in living? When was the last time you were sincerely delighted?

True delight comes from the Light. If you delight in darkness you will die but if you delight in the Light your life will be bright and your joy will ignite. God sent His Almighty Son to set evil to flight, and gave you His very own Spirit to help you live right. Now you’re “strong in the Lord and the power of His might” and quickened by faith in His Word to win the good fight. The joy of the Lord is your strength, your soul to excite, so live in love with the Lord rise to a new height!

John 1:1-18
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said,'He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.'"

16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
NKJV

Ps 119:130
The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.
NKJV

Isa 9:2,6-7
2 The people who walked in darkness
Have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined.
… For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end, …
NKJV

Isa 59:21-60:3
21 "As for Me," says the Lord, "this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants," says the Lord, "from this time and forevermore."

60 Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
NKJV

Isa 60:19-20
19 "The sun shall no longer be your light by day,
Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;
But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light,
And your God your glory.
20 Your sun shall no longer go down,
Nor shall your moon withdraw itself;
For the Lord will be your everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning shall be ended.
NKJV

Matt 5:14-16
14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
NKJV

Luke 11:33-36
33 "No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. 34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36 If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light."
NKJV

John 8:12
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
NKJV

Acts 13:47
For so the Lord has commanded us:

'I have set you as a light to the Gentiles,
That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.'"
NKJV

Acts 26:18
18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'
NKJV

Acts 26:22-23
22 Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come — 23 that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles."
NKJV

Rom 13:11-14
And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
NKJV

2 Cor 4:6
6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
NKJV

Eph 5:8-14
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says:

"Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light."
NKJV

1 Thess 5:5
5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
NKJV

2 Tim 1:9-10
9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, 10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
NKJV

1 Peter 2:9-10
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

2 Peter 1:19-20
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
NKJV

1 John 1:5-7
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
NKJV

1 Peter 2:9-10

NKJV

1 John 2:8-11
Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.

9 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. 10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
NKJV

Rev 21:22-27
But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day(there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
NKJV

Rev 22:1-5
2 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And in His law he meditates day and night.

Swallow a Camel?

You’ve probably heard of “eating crow” but what about swallowing a camel? Eating crow is the bitter experience of having to admit you were wrong after you insisted that you were right. It’s humbling and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. But swallowing a camel is even worse. It happens when you violate your heart and neglect your core values and the try to pretend like “it’s all good.” And you know it’s not because your guts are being stretched out by guilt. And no matter how hard you try to cover it up with good deeds you still look like a snake with the silhouette of a camel in the middle. Hypocrisy can not be hidden. You may be able to cover it for a while but you’ll always know in your own heart and it will eat your guts out. Because you’ve done something that contradicts your own convictions and you can’t pass it, you can only confess it. And your heart will break and your stomach ache, until you make it right with yourself and with God. When you do what’s right, life is good and you feel right, but when you do what’s wrong, you swallow a camel that will give you pain life long. So don’t just pretend to be right or you’ll probably end up eating crow and camel. But actually make it good and true on the inside and when it’s good on the inside it will show up on the outside.

Matt 23:23-28
23 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

25 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
NKJV

1 John 1:9-10
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
NKJV

Rom 5:17
17 For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Blessed and Not Cursed!

You’re blessed and not cursed and it can’t be reversed!

Sometimes people worry about sorcery, superstitions, curses, witchcraft, demons and things like that. But the blessing and goodness of God is greater than all evil. Jesus the Almighty Redeemer has redeemed us from destruction and the hand of the enemy and now lives forever with all authority to enforce the redemption. We’ve been bought and blessed “with every spiritual blessing” because of His blood and nothing can ever change that. It doesn’t matter what the devil may try to say or do he will never be able to change what has been said and done by Jesus. His Word has been forever settled in heaven and now it’s your right to enforce it on the earth. God said you are blessed and that’s the Truth and nothing will ever be able to change or supersede it. If you will abide in, know and believe the Truth of God’s Word you will be free. The strategy of the enemy is to try to get you to believe a lie and die. But why buy the lie and be cursed and die, when it’s God’s will for you to be blessed and live? Jesus already died - He bought the blessing with His own blood, and then and rose again so you could live with Him. He choose to give you abundant life and now it’s your turn to choose it. So believe it, receive it, enforce it and live it, walk in the blessing and find somewhere to give it!

Because you’re blessed and not cursed and it can’t be reversed!

He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it.

Nor any divination against Israel.

Deut 30:19-20
19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."
NKJV

Gal 3:13-14
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Luke 1:68, 71, 74-75
68 "Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,
For He has visited and redeemed His people,
…71 That we should be saved from our enemies
And from the hand of all who hate us,
…74 To grant us that we,
Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
Might serve Him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.

Rev 12:10-12
10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."

Do the Dream

To each person gifts have been given and gifts are revealed in the giving. If you want to know what your gifts are then you need to discern the desire of your heart. What good thing do you desire to do? What’s your dream? If you will delight yourself in the Lord He will give you the desires of your heart. In other words, He will make His will your desire and then empower you to fulfill it.

If you don’t want your dream to lie dormant then you need to declare it. Don’t tell your dreams to doubters and get discouraged but declare it to someone who can help you do it. Tell the vision, write it down and make it plain, simple and easy to explain.

Once your gifts are known and shown then you will need to develop them. Just because your desire to do something doesn’t mean that you have the ability to do it. But if you will be diligent and give God your time He will coach give you His ability. But if you don’t use it you’ll never learn how to use it.

Once you’ve developed your gifts a bit then it’s time to distribute. The gifts were given to you, but not for you but for your giving. It doesn’t matter how awesome the gifts may be, they will never bless anyone until they’re given. Just “do what you know” and as you sow they will grow. God multiplies what you give so you’ll have more for the giving. And as you continue to distribute what you were given for giving, you’ll enjoy life and be really living!

Delight
Discern
Declare
Develop
Distribute

Ps 37:4-5
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
NKJV

1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
NKJV

2 Cor 9:6-15

6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written:

"He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever."

10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, 13 while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, 14 and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Arise

Inspiration doesn’t usually come when you’re lying down. Many mornings when I wake up I lie in bed and pray and say, “Lord, what’s the Word for the day? - and it’s usually, “GET UP!” Get up, is the Word Lord? And He says, “No, get up and go and then I will show what you need to know.” You don’t need any power to lay there and sleep and you don’t need any new revelation dream about. God can work with the dead but before He does He likes to make them vertical. And God has been known to knock people down but not so they can stay on the ground and lie around, but so that afterward they can get up and go in the right direction. You can either be “too busy” to hear or “too tired” to hear but if you really want fresh inspiration and good old revelation you still have to take the time to pray. And not just praying in your sleep or as a second thought on the drive to work or crisis praying. It’s good to talk to God as you go, but if it’s only second hand seeking you’ll probably end up with someone else’s leftovers. And it’s because God knows your heart, and if your heart’s not in it, your not gonna win it. Win it? Win what? Win anything really, but what I’m talking about is the prize of fulfilling the high calling of God. Oooh, that sounds too big and important for me, “the high calling of God” but you will either fulfill the high calling or the low calling. Many are called but few are chosen, and it’s not the good or noble or mighty, but those who decide they will seek the Lord with all their hearts. God will let anybody be on His team but He takes no pleasure in the half hearted. And the ones that are chosen to play are the simply the ones who will pray and be bold to obey everyday.

So, Arise and Pray everyday,
then you will know which way to go,
You will be told and therefore bold,
and inspired to do, what I reveal to you.

Gen 12:1
2 Now the Lord had said to Abram:

"Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father's house,
To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
NKJV

Acts 9:1-6
9 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?"

5 And he said, "Who are You, Lord?"

Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads."

6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, "Lord, what do You want me to do?"

Then the Lord said to him, "Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."
NKJV

Acts 9:10-16
10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, "Ananias."

And he said, "Here I am, Lord."

11 So the Lord said to him, "Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. 12 And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight."

13 Then Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. 14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name."

15 But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake."
NKJV

Acts 22:9-10
9 "And those who were with me indeed saw the light and were afraid, but they did not hear the voice of Him who spoke to me. 10 So I said, 'What shall I do, Lord?' And the Lord said to me, 'Arise and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all things which are appointed for you to do.
NKJV

Acts 26:14-18
14 And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' 15 So I said, 'Who are You, Lord?' And He said, 'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 16 But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. 17 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'
NKJV

Acts 8:26-40
26 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." This is desert. 27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go near and overtake this chariot."

30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"

31 And he said, "How can I, unless someone guides me?" And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. 32 The place in the Scripture which he read was this:

"He was led as a sheep to the slaughter;
And as a lamb before its shearer is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
33 In His humiliation His justice was taken away,
And who will declare His generation?
For His life is taken from the earth."

34 So the eunuch answered Philip and said, "I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?" 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. 36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?"

37 Then Philip said,"If you believe with all your heart, you may."

And he answered and said,"I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.
NKJV

Acts 10:19-20

19 While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are seeking you. 20 Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them."
NKJV

Acts 11:12-18
12 Then the Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered the man's house. 13 And he told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, 'Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon whose surname is Peter, 14 who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved.' 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. 16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' 17 If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?"

18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying,"Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life."
NKJV

Acts 10:19-20

19 While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are seeking you. 20 Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them."

Matt 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
NKJV

Mark 16:15-20
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

1 Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.

"Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light."

Acts 4:13-14
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

What’s in Your Cup?

It used to be, “The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup” but now many would say it’s Starbucks in a paper cup. Names change with the times but there’s One that stays the same. It’s the name that is above all names and it will do a heck of a lot more than just wake you up. It has the power to give you everlasting abundant God quality of life, to save, deliver and heal. And not just a bit, but “He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him” (Heb 7:25) Wahoo! – to the UTTERMOST! So for me it is and will be; the best part of waking up is the Spirit of Almighty Jesus in my cup. And my cup runneth over…. Haha!

Ps 23:5-6
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
NKJV

Acts 10:36-39
36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ — He is Lord of all — 37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
NKJV

Acts 3:1-8
3 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; 3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us." 5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
NKJV

Acts 3:11-16
11 Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, greatly amazed. 12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
NKJV

Acts 4:7-22
7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, "By what power or by what name have you done this?"

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the 'stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.' 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. 14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. 15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16 saying,"What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17 But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name."

18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard." 21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done. 22 For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.
NKJV

Acts 4:29-30
29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus."
NKJV

Mark 16:15-18
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
NKJV

Mark 9:38-41
38 Now John answered Him, saying, "Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us."

39 But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. 40 For he who is not against us is on our side.
NKJV

Matt 7:21-27
21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

NKJV

Luke 10:17-20
17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name."

18 And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."
NKJV

Phil 2:5-11
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
NKJV

Heb 13:8-9
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Obey Today

There was no Blog post yesterday because the Lord seemed to be saying, “You need to do what I lead you to not just what you always do.” It’s easy to get stuck in a rut and call it following the Lord. But just because He led us one way before doesn’t mean He will lead us that way again. Or maybe He will, but we have to be flexible. Sometimes it’s good to have a change of scenery but it’s also good to have a regimen. So the focus needs to be on following God not just wandering aimlessly or being so rigid that we’re unable to change our routine. We’re naturally inclined to go the way we’ve gone before but if we always do the same thing we plateau and don’t grow. We want to be free, but true freedom comes from following the Lord of liberty. Having our own agenda puts us in bondage to ourselves and its comfortable when we think that we’re in control. The main problem is that we don’t know the future and we’re not called or qualified to lead ourselves. That’s why we need to pray and be diligent to hear and bold to obey everyday. It’s important to discern what God’s telling us to do and not just what He told us to do. If we believe He told us to mow the yard on Monday, does that mean mow every Monday for the rest of our lives? If so, then pretty soon we’ll find ourselves mowing the snow, and saying “the Lord led me to do it!” But the guidance of the God is real time not past tense. It’s like playing Follow the Leader, but who wants to play with someone who waits to obey until another day? Like some kid who suddenly starts acting like a chicken in the middle of class and says, “well we were playing follow the Leader yesterday and so now that’s what I’m doing!” and he just gets himself in trouble and everyone thinks he’s a fruitcake. So the question at hand is, are we willing to do what God leads us to do TODAY? Or are we still trying to get around to doing what He led us to do, and all the while just going on doing what we’ve already been doing and calling our ruts God’s will because after all He led us that way before.

1 Sam 23:2-5

2 Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying, "Shall I go and attack these Philistines?"

And the Lord said to David, "Go and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah."

3 But David's men said to him, "Look, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?" 4 Then David inquired of the Lord once again.

And the Lord answered him and said, "Arise, go down to Keilah. For I will deliver the Philistines into your hand." 5 And David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines, struck them with a mighty blow, and took away their livestock. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
NKJV

2 Sam 5:17-25
Now when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. And David heard of it and went down to the stronghold. 18 The Philistines also went and deployed themselves in the Valley of Rephaim. 19 So David inquired of the Lord, saying, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?"

And the Lord said to David, "Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand."

20 So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, "The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water." Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim. 21 And they left their images there, and David and his men carried them away.

22 Then the Philistines went up once again and deployed themselves in the Valley of Rephaim. 23 Therefore David inquired of the Lord, and He said, "You shall not go up; circle around behind them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. 24 And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the Lord will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines." 25 And David did so, as the Lord commanded him; and he drove back the Philistines from Geba as far as Gezer.
NKJV

Num 14:8-12
8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us,'a land which flows with milk and honey.' 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them."

10 And all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Now the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of meeting before all the children of Israel.

Moses Intercedes for the People

11 Then the Lord said to Moses: "How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them?
NKJV

Num 14:39-45

39 Then Moses told these words to all the children of Israel, and the people mourned greatly. 40 And they rose early in the morning and went up to the top of the mountain, saying,"Here we are, and we will go up to the place which the Lord has promised, for we have sinned!"

41 And Moses said, "Now why do you transgress the command of the Lord? For this will not succeed. 42 Do not go up, lest you be defeated by your enemies, for the Lord is not among you. 43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and you shall fall by the sword; because you have turned away from the Lord, the Lord will not be with you."

44 But they presumed to go up to the mountaintop. Nevertheless, neither the ark of the covenant of the Lord nor Moses departed from the camp. 45 Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites who dwelt in that mountain came down and attacked them, and drove them back as far as Hormah.
NKJV

Deut 1:19-21
19 "So we departed from Horeb, and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which you saw on the way to the mountains of the Amorites, as the Lord our God had commanded us. Then we came to Kadesh Barnea. 20 And I said to you, 'You have come to the mountains of the Amorites, which the Lord our God is giving us. 21 Look, the Lord your God has set the land before you; go up and possess it, as the Lord God of your fathers has spoken to you; do not fear or be discouraged.'
NKJV

Deut 1:26-38
26 "Nevertheless you would not go up, but rebelled against the command of the Lord your God; 27 and you complained in your tents, and said, 'Because the Lord hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. 28 Where can we go up? Our brethren have discouraged our hearts, saying,"The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to heaven; moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there."'

29 "Then I said to you, 'Do not be terrified, or afraid of them. 30 The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, 31 and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.' 32 Yet, for all that, you did not believe the Lord your God, 33 who went in the way before you to search out a place for you to pitch your tents, to show you the way you should go, in the fire by night and in the cloud by day.

34 "And the Lord heard the sound of your words, and was angry, and took an oath, saying, 35 'Surely not one of these men of this evil generation shall see that good land of which I swore to give to your fathers, 36 except Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him and his children I am giving the land on which he walked, because he wholly followed the Lord.' 37 The Lord was also angry with me for your sakes, saying, 'Even you shall not go in there. 38 Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall go in there. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
NKJV

Deut 1:34-38
NKJV

Deut 1:41-46
41 "Then you answered and said to me,'We have sinned against the Lord; we will go up and fight, just as the Lord our God commanded us.' And when everyone of you had girded on his weapons of war, you were ready to go up into the mountain.

42 "And the Lord said to me, 'Tell them,"Do not go up nor fight, for I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies."' 43 So I spoke to you; yet you would not listen, but rebelled against the command of the Lord, and presumptuously went up into the mountain. 44 And the Amorites who dwelt in that mountain came out against you and chased you as bees do, and drove you back from Seir to Hormah. 45 Then you returned and wept before the Lord, but the Lord would not listen to your voice nor give ear to you.

46 "So you remained in Kadesh many days, according to the days that you spent there.

Believe

God’s Word is His will. By it you’ve been given an inheritance. It’s necessary to believe the Will to receive the benefits. You don’t need a sign you just need to know what He said. Fly

Dreams lay waiting as days go by,
Like a nested bird on standby.
For the sky the heart does cry,
If you just sit there you may well die.
Wings must move before you fly,
You’ll never know unless you try.
To fulfill My will I gave you PIE,
If you will do it, I will Ally.
Everyday, give your supply,
Do what you know and grow thereby.
It’s not just a flying leap into the sky,
But daily discipline that will take you high.
What you apply, I multiply,
Spread your wings it’s time to fly.

Get Lubricated

Thank God for Oil! Oil lubricates and makes light, fire and power. Without it we’d be all seized up. The pancakes would be stuck to the pan and the car in the driveway. There would be no movement of motorcycles, boats, trains or planes. The world runs on various forms of oil, and oil is the primary way to overcome friction so we can have fun and go fast!

Do you have any friction in your life? Do you deal with irritation, agitation and feeling like you’ve been rubbed the wrong way? Do you find your self getting easily angry, hot and offended? You need oil and God’s got it! Even more specifically He is it. Many modern oils promise the miraculous but He is the Miraculous. His Spirit is His very own supernatural substance and the kingdom of God runs on His Oil. His presence lights the whole of heaven, fills us with His fire and manifests His freedom. His Holy Oil lubricates us so that we can live in His Love. It’s the Oil of joy and gladness, greater than all gloom and doom. It sets us free to be all we were called to be; so empowered by oil of the Almighty!

Abide in the Oil, friction to foil, enjoy life and gather the spoil!

Ps 23:5-6
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
NKJV

Ps 45:7
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.
NKJV

Ps 92:10
10 But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.
AMP

Isa 10:27
27 It shall come to pass in that day
That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
NKJV

Jer 31:12-14
12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion,
Streaming to the goodness of the Lord —
For wheat and new wine and oil,
For the young of the flock and the herd;
Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden,
And they shall sorrow no more at all.

13 "Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance,
And the young men and the old, together;
For I will turn their mourning to joy,
Will comfort them,
And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.
14 I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance,
And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the Lord."
NKJV

Luke 4:18-19
18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." …
…. Isa 61:2-3
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."

2 Cor 1:21
21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God,

1 John 2:27
27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

Substance or Sham

What’s the essence of your existence? Is it eternal substance or flimsy fluff? Children pretend stuffed animals are real but they can’t actually see or feel. And when people grow up they usually put “fluffy” away but the life of pretending may linger and stay. If you don’t have real life you’ll just try to fake it, but without the True substance you won’t be able to make it. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-13) And just because you call yourself a “Christian” doesn’t mean you’re not a pretender, so get real with God and acquire the Life He will render, receive the essence of the Almighty to His Splendor surrender.

Heb 11:1-2
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
NKJV

Col 2:16-18
16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
NKJV

Deut 30:19-20
19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days…

John 6:40
40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day."

47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

John 17:3-4
3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Phil 3:10a
10 [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection…

John 1:6-13

6 There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. [Mal 3:1.]

7 This man came to witness, that he might testify of the Light, that all men might believe in it [adhere to it, trust it, and rely upon it] through him.

8 He was not the Light himself, but came that he might bear witness regarding the Light.

9 There it was — the true Light [was then] coming into the world [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] that illumines every person. [Isa 49:6.]

10 He came into the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him [did not know Him].

11 He came to that which belonged to Him [to His own — His domain, creation, things, world], and they who were His own did not receive Him and did not welcome Him.

12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name — [Isa 56:5.]

13 Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!]

1 John 5:20
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Victor or Victim?

So what that everything’s not perfect, be thankful anyway! You’re an overcomer and you can overcome if you will. Challenges can either kill you or fulfill you. So what’s it gonna be, slave to circumstance or free? Lift up your head and fight cause looking down just isn’t right.

Phil 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
NKJV

Rom 8:37-39
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
NKJV

James 1:2-4

2 Tim 4:7
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith

Col 3:14-17
14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

More or Less?

Do you want more or less? The more you get the more will be required of you. Having more makes life harder not easier. There’s no such thing as riches without responsibility. You’re required to be faithful with what you have. And if you’re not faithful with what you have why would God give you more? Some people seem to think that if they could just get more it would solve their problems. But for the messy, more just multiplies the mess, so if you’re having problems what you probably really need is not more but less.

Less stuff, less bills, less debt equals less responsibility, So maybe just maybe it’s time to stop praying for more and start praying for less.

“whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required”
Luke 12:48 KJV

Deut 10:12

Mic 6:6-8
6 With what shall I come before the Lord,
And bow myself before the High God?
Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings,
With calves a year old?
7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
Ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

8 He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

Luke 16:10-12
10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. 11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own?

Ex 16:17-18
17 Then the children of Israel did so and gathered, some more, some less. 18 So when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. Every man had gathered according to each one's need.

Breathe!

Lord, Help! I need inspiration. Do you ever experience those times when you just don’t seem to have any new revelation?

Inspiration is defined as “the act of inspiring or breathing in; breath” (Web.1913) When you’re out of you feel “out of breath.” or even like you’re under water. When you’re there all you want is air.

Inspiration is also defined as “1: arousal of the mind to special unusual activity or creativity 2: a product of your creative thinking and work” (Word Net) This simply means that when you’re “out of breath” you mind is oxygen deprived and you’re non-inspired.

But the breath of God will feed your creative thinking if you will draw it in. Sometimes you just have to stop and breathe and remember what you already believe. God’s Word is like clean and crisp mountain air and there’s more than enough of it to inspire the entire creation. So when you don’t get something new, then just go with what you know. Breathe His Word in again and again, your life will renew as His Spirit flows through.

Gen 2:7
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
NKJV

Ezek 37:1-14
1 The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"

So I answered, "O Lord God, You know."

4 Again He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: "Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord."'"

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.
9 Also He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord God:"Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live."'" 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

11 Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say,'Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!' 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it," says the Lord.'"

John 20:21-23

What Do You Live For?

If you want life to be bright, live for what’s right with all of your might. Living for righteousness is simply living for love. And what a great delight it is to live right. Just think about how wonderful it is to know and love God, your family and all the other awesome people around you!

Let your heart be filled with love from above, until it will springs from within,
Then you’ll know the joy of living, and win with a grin.
Dying to live, living for love, and so happy to have the privilege thereof!

7 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. 9 For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
NKJV

2 Cor 5:14-15
14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
NKJV

Gal 2:20-21
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
NKJV

Rom 5:5
5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
NKJV

1 John 4:7
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
NKJV

1 John 4:12-13
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
NKJV

James 2:8-9
8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well;
NKJV

John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Pleasure or Purpose

Do you live for purpose or pleasure? Are you living to get or living to give. Pleasure is fleeting but proper purpose is perpetual. Living on purpose produces passion and gives gratification. While living for lust leaves you feeling lonely and lost. If you give of the gifts you’ve been given, they multiply and increase and you experience joy and peace in the release. But if you’re self-centered and greedy, your taking will destroy dividends and leave you empty and needy.

“…remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Acts 20:35 NKJV

Mark 10:45
45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
NKJV

John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
NKJV

Matt 10:8
“…Freely you have received, freely give.”
NKJV

Matt 16:25
25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
NKJV

Gal 6:7-8
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
NKJV

1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
NKJV

1 Peter 4:10-11
10 Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: 11 if words, let it be God's words; if help, let it be God's hearty help. That way, God's bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he'll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything — encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!
MES

So I don’t know your exact purpose but I do know that you have a gift and that that gift was created for giving. And as soon as you start using your gift for giving not getting, you’ll multiply and experience the joy the life you’re called to be living.

Let’s Get Rowdy!

We’re reaching out to the rowdy! Because coming to Christ doesn’t mean you have to be calm and mild mannered. And rebellious people tend to do well when they receive the power of Heaven to resist the forces of Hell. We don’t need to be reformed but re-born, not merely conformed but transformed. And that’s what happens when we receive Jesus. He’s the Almighty Redeemer, who resurrects, regenerates and renews. And once His power within, He’ll complete the work He began. So we’ve got our eyes off all that’s wrong and onto the Savior, because He came to re-create not just modify behavior. We’ll do the preaching and let Him do the saving, because true union with God is what they are craving!

Matt 22:9-10
9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.' 10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.
NKJV

2 Sam 6:14-17
14 Then David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. 15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.

16 Now as the ark of the Lord came into the City of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.
…2 Sam 6:21-22
21 So David said to Michal, "It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord. 22 And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight…
NKJV

1 Tim 1:12-17
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, 13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
NKJV

John 3:5-7
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again
NKJV

John 1:12-13
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
NKJV

2 Cor 5:17-18
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
NKJV

Rom 12:2
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
NKJV

2 Cor 3:17-18
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
NKJV

68 "Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,
For He has visited and redeemed His people,

Titus 3:4-7
4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
NKJV

Phil 1:6
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
NKJV

Phil 2:13
3 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
NKJV

Heb 13:20-21
20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
NKJV

Heb 12:1-2
12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
NKJV

Col 3:2-3
2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
NKJV

Rom 8:5-6
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
