Do you live for purpose or pleasure? Are you living to get or living to give. Pleasure is fleeting but proper purpose is perpetual. Living on purpose produces passion and gives gratification. While living for lust leaves you feeling lonely and lost. If you give of the gifts you’ve been given, they multiply and increase and you experience joy and peace in the release. But if you’re self-centered and greedy, your taking will destroy dividends and leave you empty and needy.
“…remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Acts 20:35 NKJV
Mark 10:45
45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
NKJV
John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
NKJV
Matt 10:8
“…Freely you have received, freely give.”
NKJV
Matt 16:25
25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
NKJV
Gal 6:7-8
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
NKJV
1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
NKJV
1 Peter 4:10-11
10 Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: 11 if words, let it be God's words; if help, let it be God's hearty help. That way, God's bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he'll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything — encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!

So I don’t know your exact purpose but I do know that you have a gift and that that gift was created for giving. And as soon as you start using your gift for giving not getting, you’ll multiply and experience the joy the life you’re called to be living.
