GIVE IT LOVE IT LIVE IT

In order to fulfill you dream - it would seem - that you have to pay the price, and sacrifice. You must make time to do what you love even if it doesn’t pay, and do what pays even if you don’t love it. Few people have the luxury of providing a living by pursuing their passion. So “We do what we have to do so we can do what we want to do.” ~ The Great Debaters (2007)

You may not “love” your job but that doesn’t mean that you can’t choose to enjoy it. Because the joy issues from the inside, it is a fruit of the Spirit. If you will be conscious of it and thereby open the spout, it will begin to flow out. Then in joy you can enjoy the job you employ. If you have to do it you might as well choose to enjoy it. Your joy is dependent upon you and not what you do.

Then when what you must do is done, you can have some fun. You’ve paid the price and now you can pursue your passion. And pursue it you must for the greater life requires that you fulfill your desire. You do what you love because it’s your gift, something that you’ve been given to give, and when you do what you love, is when you love to live. You’ve gotta pay to play, and maybe someday, someone will come and offer you pay to play. But that’s the exception and not the rule and the expectation of the fool. Because your gift was given for you to give, so you can’t sell it just to make a living. Give with motives right and true, and do what you love, because it’s what you love to do.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might…

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men

NKJV

Rom 15:13

13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
NKJV

2 Cor 9:6-15
6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written:

"He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever."

10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, 13 while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, 14 and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
NKJV

Matt 10:8b
Freely you have received, freely give.
NKJV

Acts 20:35b
And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'
NKJV
