Shall I share my pleasure, and not my pain,
and hide emotions, in vain contain?

Misery becomes me, my heart is rent,
My hope is shallow, my joy is spent,
My eyes wallow, my mind is grey,
The sun rises - to my dismay.

I feel abandoned, yet not alone,
For in agony, my stomach groans,
I cry out, yet no one hears,
Who will come, and kill my fears?

The answer lies, in the One who died,
Who loved me so, He heard my cries,
He took my torment, to His own demise,
And bore my Hell, then did arise.

My sorrow’s shattered, affliction crushed,
Lies are hushed, and turned to dust,
I won’t listen, it’s not my woe,
Mines’ been taken, and burns below.

My cares I cast, I seek His face,
Peace embrace, receive His grace,
His yoke is easy, His burden light,
And by His might, I’ll win this fight.
I know with God, my future’s bright.
