“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” But
I can’t do everything, all in one day but I can do everything He asks me to. All
things are possible for God but His will is what shall be done. “Not my will
but Thine be done.” Therefore I can receive strength to do His will but not
merely my desire. I can “try” and receive His strength to do all things but He
still won’t strengthen me to do things that are not His will. And why would He? And what’s His will for today and how will I
know? That’s why I need to pray and seek the things for the day, because there
are always more things to do than I can be done in a day. So then let all
things, that is everything He puts on my heart to do be done and let everything
else remain undone. And then I’ll start again tomorrow. So I will pray, itemize
and endeavor to exercise His will today and then I can say, “I can do all
things through Christ who strengthens me."
Mark 14:36
36 And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible
for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what
You will."
NKJV
Luke 22:42
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from
me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
KJV
James 4:13-15
13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go
to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a
profit"; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is
your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes
away. 15 Instead you ought to say,"If the Lord wills, we shall live and do
this or that."
NKJV
Phil 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
NKJV
Phil 4:13
13 for I can do everything God asks me to with the help of
Christ who gives me the strength and power.
