Hope. Believe. Become.

Speaking of Abraham the Bible says,

“who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be." Rom 4:18 NKJV

He had no natural reason to have hope and it looked like a lost cause considering his circumstances but that’s not what he chose to consider. Instead of thinking about what he couldn’t because he hadn’t He thought about what he could because God said he would. He had God’s Word and that was enough. So He HOPED and BELIEVED so that he BECAME, the father of many nations ACCORDING to what was SPOKEN. He considered the Word until he became what he believed. As long as he kept his eyes on the promise he had hope and when he got his eyes off the promise and tried to bring it to pass himself he had problems. So we see that there are two kinds of hope. Hope in what one sees, in situations and circumstances - natural hope and hope in Him who is invisible and in what He said – supernatural hope. One is false and the other true so the question is what do you KNOW that God said specifically to you? When false hope fails discouragement prevails but hope that’s true will help you get through. God’s word is true what He said He will do! So I choose to believe, what about you?

Rom 4:19-22
19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
