Shoot the Devil not the Horse

Don’t shoot the horse that the devil rode in on. If you shoot the horse the devil will go free but if you will take closer aim and shoot the devil then the horse will go free - and so will thee.

2 Tim 2:23-26
23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
NKJV

1 John 3:7-9
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
NKJV

1 John 3:10-14
10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.

13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.
NKJV

1 Peter 5:6-9
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
NKJV

Rom 16:17-20
17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. 20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
NKJV

Acts 10:36-39
36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ — He is Lord of all — 37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
NKJV

Luke 10:17-20
17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name."

18 And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."
NKJV

John 8:42-46
42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.
NKJV

John 8:31-32
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
NKJV

Eph 4:25-5:2
25 Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another. 26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

5 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

You Will if You Will

Happiness is a choice? Happiness is a choice!

No matter where you are, or what happens you can always choose to listen to God’s voice and rejoice. You have the authority to make the choice.

The God given will is so powerful it could even be used to resist God . The Almighty Himself made you this way. You have free will because God choose to give it to you. He won’t have any forced worship but will receive the praise of those who worship on purpose. And if you will is strong enough to resist God, and you know it is, or you would just always automatically obey him. Then surely you can and should use it, not to resist good but to resist all evil. Rebel against Hell, by the power of your will, God Himself will assist you for He said that He will.

Rom 12:21
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
NKJV

So you will either overcome or be overcome. You have the power to overcome if you will. So will you? If you act weak you won’t but if you will get some guts and stand up for your God given rights then you will. If you will then you will.

Will – (Webster’s)
1 the power of making a reasoned choice or decision or of controlling one's own actions (a man of weak will)
2 a) strong and fixed purpose; determination (where there's a will there's a way) b) energy and enthusiasm (to work with a will)

If you don’t quit, you won’t lose. If you will to win then you will because the One within has already won. And you are His daughter or son, so overcome. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might and like a good soldier fight the good fight!

Ps 118:6
6 The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?
NKJV

Rom 8:31-32
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
NKJV

Luke 10:19-20
19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."
NKJV

1 John 4:4-5
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
NKJV

1 John 5:4-5
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
NKJV

Eph 6:10-11
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
NKJV

1 Tim 6:12-13
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
NKJV

2 Tim 4:7
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
NKJV

So if you will to win then you will and if you don’t you won’t. It’s your choice. So don’t be a pitiful pansy but stand up and fight for your God given rights.

Phil 4:12-13
12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
NKJV

Eph 6:10-20
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints — 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

First things First

To obtain peace, get your life in order, to keep it, keep it in order. You were not created for chaos but made for methodology. Not that you can’t be spontaneous, but when your life is a mess you live in distress and don’t have time for recess. But when everything is in order then you’re free to go, do and see whatever you may be inclined to be. Putting things in sequence helps eliminate stress and supports success. When life gets “out of order” things don’t work efficiently, and less efficiency means more work for you and me.

Mark 12:29-31
29 Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
NKJV

Matt 6:33-34
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
NKJV

Luke 14:27-33
27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it — 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.' 31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
NKJV

1 Cor 14:40
Let all things be done decently and in order.
NKJV

1 Cor 14:40
But all things should be done with regard to decency and propriety and in an orderly fashion.

Be Content and Diligent

Content (Webster’s)
1 happy enough with what one has or is; not desiring something more or different; satisfied
— Syn. appeased, gratified, comfortable; see happy 1, satisfied.
See Synonym Study at SATISFIED.
See blessed, contented, contents, humble, meat, satisfaction, satisfy, serene, value

Heb 13:5-6
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
NKJV

1 Tim 6:6-9
6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
NKJV

Luke 3:14
14 Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, "And what shall we do?"

So he said to them, "Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages."
NKJV

Phil 4:11-13
11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
NKJV

Diligent (Webster’s)
1 persevering and careful in work; industrious
2 done with careful, steady effort; painstaking
— Syn. industrious, hard-working, assiduous, sedulous, studious, pertinacious, persevering, persistent, keen, tireless, unflagging, unremitting, untiring, indefatigable, careful, painstaking, thorough, purposeful, resolute, busy, intent, involved,

Prov 10:4
4 He who has a slack hand becomes poor,
But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
NKJV

Prov 12:24
24 The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.
NKJV

Prov 13:4
4 The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing;
But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.
NKJV

Prov 21:5
5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty,
But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.
NKJV

2 Tim 2:15
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
NKJV

2 Peter 1:5-11
5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
NKJV

2 Peter 3:14-15
14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;

Totter to Slaughter?

We all bumble and stumble at times but if we refuse correction we will “totter to the slaughter.” Every time we justify our mistakes we lower our standards and thus begin tottering down a slippery slope. At the end of the slant lies the slaughter. The Spirit within will apprise that we are blundering to our own demise, and not only ours, but anyone who follows, we lead to the gallows. The only way to regain our footing is to acknowledge our error and the only way to save the others is to inform them also. We will either live in humility or die in our pride. Each of us will give an account to God, not only for ourselves but also for those who chose to follow.

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after.

Mary Jane was out in the lane
Hanging up the clothes.
She called for Nell to ring the bell
'Cause Jack and Jill were dying.

God is the Deliverer, His Word is the Way, if we acknowledge where we’ve gone astray, His Spirit will help us without delay. But if we refuse, we’re like Humpty up on the wall, if we totter to slaughter then we will soon fall. So Lord, please help us not all come tumbling down, but to do what’s right and retain our crown.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

James 3:2-3
2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
NKJV

Prov 24:11
1 Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
NKJV

Prov 24:11
11 Deliver those who are drawn away to death, and those who totter to the slaughter, hold them back [from their doom].
AMP

Prov 12:1
12 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge,
But he who hates correction is stupid.
NKJV

Ps 119:165
165 Great peace have those who love Your law,
And nothing causes them to stumble.
NKJV

Mark 4:16-18
16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they stumble.
NKJV

John 16:1
16 "These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble.
NKJV

Mark 9:42
42 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.
NKJV

1 Cor 8:9-13
9 But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak. 10 For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol's temple, will not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat those things offered to idols? 11 And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 12 But when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13 Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never again eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.
NKJV

Rom 14:12-13
12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. 13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother's way.
NKJV

1 John 2:10-11
10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
NKJV

1 Peter 2:1-3
2 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,

"Behold, I lay in Zion
A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame."

7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,

"The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone,"

8 and

"A stone of stumbling
And a rock of offense."

They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

11 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, 12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
NKJV

2 Peter 1:2-11
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

NKJV

Ps 73:2, 16-17, 21-26
2 But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled;
My steps had nearly slipped.

16 When I thought how to understand this,
It was too painful for me —
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God;
Then I understood their end.
NKJV

21 Thus my heart was grieved,
And I was vexed in my mind.
22 I was so foolish and ignorant;
I was like a beast before You.
23 Nevertheless I am continually with You;
You hold me by my right hand.
24 You will guide me with Your counsel,
And afterward receive me to glory.

25 Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.
26 My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
NKJV

Jude 24-25
24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.
Amen.

Faith

“If you don’t quit you won’t lose!” Seasons come and seasons go, but God - you know will never change, He’ll bring His Word to pass again. His Promise sure, His Spirit True, will accomplish all He said to you. He’s eternally faithful and your affliction’s brief, so don’t waver the Promise through unbelief. Be strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, don’t acknowledge fear’s façade. Receive His ability - way beyond the norm, for what He’s promised He will perform.

Mal 3:6
6 "For I am the Lord, I do not change;
NKJV

Heb 13:8
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
NKJV

Josh 21:45
45 Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
NKJV

Josh 23:14-15
14 "Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.
NKJV

2 Cor 4:17-18
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
NKJV

Rom 4:19-22
19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
NKJV

Heb 11:8-12
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude — innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.

Like Him?

Angels wonder why God made mankind “like Him” and is mindful of them. If He’s mindful of us we should be mindful of Him. And if we’re “like Him” then we should act like Him and live in love. Heb 2:5-8, Ps 8, Ps 144:3, Ps 115:12-13, Neh 9:17-31, Mt 22:36-39, Eph 5:1, Jam 2:8

Here’s something to think about in first person….

I am created in the image of Him who is Almighty and I AM filled with the Love of Him who loves me as I am.

Stench or Shower

Your senses can cause consternation but the Word of God remains unchanged. Sometimes you are forced to deal with things like death, disease, despite, despair, revilement or rejection. When you do you are left with a rotten residue. All kinds of things can affect your emotions and some cause a stench more intense. Some things you can control and some you can’t but you can choose upon what you dwell and what you repel. Being reviled for example is like being sprayed by a skunk and despair is like swimming a pit of rancid junk. Rejection tempts you to move into dungeons dark and putrid cave, and death is always there like a nightmare snare, waiting to drag you off to its oppressive lair. All evil is somehow either dark or fetid and you have to avoid it and/or overcome it by dwelling in that which is bright and pure. For he who shares the odor of his own oppression is likened unto one who falls into a cesspool and then fails to take a shower. But God’s Word is the means to be clean and smell like a flower. Jesus said, “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.” And, “first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.” So if you want to be happy on the outside you have to get happy on the inside. If you want to overcome the darkness without you must get the light within. If you don’t want to spoil, you must be filled with the Spirit of Life. And the Lord said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” “And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.” We are called to “live by faith” and not by feelings, because emotions cause commotions. And thank God for feelings for they enhance life like steams with their ebb and flow. But it’s not good to try to build a house in the middle of a river. And so it is when you let your senses rule you become unstable and act a fool, but if you will abide in the Truth you will remain calm and cool. So live by faith and overcome from the inside out, enjoy life without a doubt.

John 15:3-4
3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
NKJV

Matt 23:26
26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.
NKJV

John 6:63-64
63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
NKJV

Rom 10:17
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
NKJV

1 John 5:4-5
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.
NKJV

Isa 26:3
3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
NKJV

Luke 6:46-49
46 "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. 49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great."
NKJV

James 1:21-25
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
NKJV

John 8:31-32
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Heb 10:35-11:2
35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

37 "For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him."

39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

No Grace, No Glory!

I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again –
When you’re at wit’s end, God’s wit begins!
Where your wisdom ends, God’s wisdom begins.
Where your ability ends, His ability begins.
So when all hope seems lost and you don’t want to do it again,
Take courage my friend, for God dwells within.
And not by your might, but by His you will win.

2 Cor 12:7-10
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
NKJV

2 Tim 4:17-18
17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
NKJV

Zech 4:6-7
6 So he answered and said to me:

"This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,'
Says the Lord of hosts.
7 'Who are you, O great mountain?
Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!
And he shall bring forth the capstone
With shouts of "Grace, grace to it!"'"
NKJV

2 Cor 9:8-9
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God's many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].

11 Whoever speaks, [let him do it as one who utters] oracles of God; whoever renders service, [let him do it] as with the strength which God furnishes abundantly, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (the Messiah). 1 Peter 5:5-11

"God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble."

10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
NKJV

Rom 5:1-5
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
NKJV

Eph 1:3-6
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

Ps 107:27-31
27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man,
And are at their wits' end.
28 Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble,
And He brings them out of their distresses.
29 He calms the storm,
So that its waves are still.
30 Then they are glad because they are quiet;
So He guides them to their desired haven.
31 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!

I know I AM and so Am I

Who are you, what are you, how are you? You are God’s own offspring, partaker of the Divine Nature, heir of the Almighty, child of the King, an eternal spirit being, who’s blessed with everything! You’re made to be just like God. When you find out who He is and how He is then you find out who you are and how you are. For He’s in you and you’re in Him, and you’re being transformed and conformed to His image from the inside out. When you seek Him He reveals Himself and not Himself alone but also Himself in you doing what only He can do. God is Omnipotent and alive forevermore and you are created to be filled with His almighty ability and endued with His everlasting Life. You are privileged to be a partaker and become one with God’s own Nature.

Acts 17:22-31
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, "Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; 23 for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:

TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.

Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: 24 God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.' 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising. 30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead."
NKJV

2 Peter 1:2-4
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Rom 8:16-17

Gal 4:6-7

Infinite Ability

God can do anything, you know — far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! Superabundantly, far over above all that you could ever even ask or think, immeasurably more than you could imagine, infinitely beyond your highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams. According to, and in consequence of the action of His power that is at work within you. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

So… “As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God's many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].

Whoever speaks, [let him do it as one who utters] oracles of God; whoever renders service, [let him do it] as with the strength which God furnishes abundantly, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever (through endless ages). Amen (so be it).” 1 Peter 4:10-11 AMP

Anti-Christ “Christian's”

I’m inclined to believe that deep down everyone desires to know God, live in Love, and be established in the Truth. People wish to do well; and to be loved and accepted for who they are; and not merely judged for what they’ve done. And that’s the calling of the church, not to criticize but to preach the cross of Christ. For there, on the tree - He who is absolutely Holy, laid down His own life and showed the ultimate unconditional love for sinners. And what is sin? The worst one, the one that is actually is an absolute abomination is simply not walking in love. People who call themselves “Christians” and act condescending in no way exemplify Christ. He sacrificed Himself to lift others up and not to put them down. So those who exalt themselves and degrade others actually epitomize the Anti-Christ. Anti-Christ “Christians” – could it be? People who are going around judging others for their “sin” and all the while themselves breaking the greatest commandment which is love. They protest and proclaim others are “abominations” while they themselves are actually acting abominable in the eyes of the Almighty. God loved the world and died for them, so how many of these people who claim to be so Christ like would actually lay down their lives for those whom they are criticizing?

Would you die for someone who is doing something you hate to show them that God loves them? Or at the very least at least love them even though they have sin? For they are them and sin is sin, they are not sin and sin is not them. And even though everyone has sinned, God still loves them, even those who sin the most by loving the least. And who could be harder to love than an abominable unloving Anti-Christ “Christian?” And yet God still loves even them. But we have to separate the people from the sin, for, “God loves people but hates sin.” And He hates the sin because it’s killing the people that He loves. So He sent Jesus came to separate people from their sin by dying for them.

If the greatest commandment is love, and we know that it is, then why do so many “Christians” still abide in their sin? I believe it’s because the spirit of the Anti-Christ has come to tempt them to judgment and they have embraced it. Therefore, even though they are commanded to abide in love they have laid down the love of God in order to be critical and are in critical condition. “My brethren, these things ought not to be so.”

So what if you’ve been convicted and found yourself to be an abominable Anti-Christ “Christian” then what shall you do? Repent! And receive the Love of God. Then what you’ve freely received, freely give that in the Love of Christ you may truly live.

1 John 3:10-4:16

10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.

13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. 15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. 20 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

God’s Masterpiece

What’s most valuable and worthy of God’s own affection? You are! After all He died for you, and not only you but others too. “You are God’s masterpiece.” Do you see yourself that way? How about others? You are priceless and filled with the potential to be mighty and magnificent, as are others. Do you recognize it and draw it out? I challenge you to see yourself and others in the image of the Almighty?

Look inside and you will see God in thee and in others be.

2 Cor 5:14-21
Our firm decision is to work from this focused center: One man died for everyone. That puts everyone in the same boat. 15 He included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in his life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.

16 Because of this decision we don't evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don't look at him that way anymore. 17 Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! 18 All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. 19 God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. 20 We're Christ's representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God's work of making things right between them. We're speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he's already a friend with you.

21 How? you say. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God.

Eph 2:10

Col 1:27
27 God wanted everyone, not just Jews, to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of their religious standing. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, therefore you can look forward to sharing in God's glory. It's that simple. That is the substance of our Message.

I Am

You’re created in the image of Him who is Almighty and “I Am.” Selah

Gen 1:26-27
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Gen 1:26-27
26 God spoke: "Let us make human beings in our image, make them
reflecting our nature
So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea,
the birds in the air, the cattle,

and every animal that moves on the face of Earth."
27 God created human beings;
he created them godlike,
Reflecting God's nature.
He created them male and female.

You are Amazing!

You are awesome, amazing, fearfully and wonderfully made, called, chosen and created for God’s Glory! You are mot merely liked but lavishly loved. You are not only appreciated, accepted and adopted by the Almighty but actually recreated as His own offspring. He doesn’t just call you His child but sends His Spirit and makes it so. You have God’s spiritual DNA; you are a new creature, a partaker of the divine nature. The Author of all is in your heart and will never part, so you know you’ll never be ignored, God Himself is your “exceeding great reward!”

You covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

IN Love

YOU ARE AWESOME! You’re created in the image of the Almighty. You have amazing potential and power. You are the object of God’s affection, “the apple of His eye.” You are loved with Divine, everlasting and intense love. You have the opportunity and the ability to love others also. You are blessed! - Blessed with every spiritual blessing in heaven and on earth. Blessed to be a blessing, and when you are a blessing it just multiplies into more and more blessing. You are gifted. Gifted by God Himself, and your gifts are made for giving. The more you give of your gifts the more of your gifts you get to give. You also get to receive from the God given gifts in others. And isn’t it great?

Of everything on earth people are the priority and nothing else should ever take the precedence. People say, “People are more important than things” and they are, but is this how we act? We’re created to live in love. If we receive God’s love we will be “in love” with Him, if we’re “in love” with Him we be “in love” with those whom He loves and He’s “in love” with everyone. He doesn’t love them merely for who they are but for Who He is. He is love and therefore He loves. Are you love? Can you love others because you have the love of the Almighty? Don’t just judge them by what they do, but look at who they actually are. They are created in Gods own image, they are His offspring. Even though they don’t always act like it. But maybe they don’t act like it because we don’t act like it! Or they may not even know it at all. And if they don’t know it at all it’s because we haven’t answered our call. For it’s our calling and commandment to receive the love of God Himself and then let it show that they may know.

And that my friend is why God made you awesome, so He could fill you with His awesome love and so you could act out His awesomeness. Because if you’re awesome then obviously you ought to act like it. And what is more awesome than His love?

YOU ARE AWESOME and you know it, so be a blessing and show it!

Ps 47:2
2 For the Lord Most High is awesome;
He is a great King over all the earth.
NKJV

Gen 1:26-28
Then God said,"Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them,"Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
NKJV

Eph 5:1-2
5 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
NKJV

Acts 17:28-29
28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'
NKJV

1 John 3:11
11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,
NKJV

1 John 4:7-16

NKJV

Ps 66:5
5 Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
NKJV

And again…

Eph 5:1
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

“It’s Fine?!”

I’m going through my annual fall ritual of working on the boiler and one thing I’ve figured out is that it’s hard to figure things out when you don’t know much about the things you’re trying to figure. I’ve had a couple of plumbers look at and one said, “I don’t know about that boiler” and another said “It’s fine.” And it is “fine” part of the time, which is all summer long when it’s not running. But then every fall it seems to have some glitch. And it’s hard to find a plumber that really is fine and the one that I do know, I can never get to come. If he would I’m sure he could figure it out in about a tenth of the time it takes me, but it’s not so because he’s not here. And I really don’t like to pay anyway, unless I absolutely have to. So I’m left to my own devices and with the help of my Father on the phone and other friends I “get to” learn all about it and figure it out as I go.

So I was thinking that challenges are much easier to conquer for someone with wisdom, because that it’s hard to figure things out when you don’t know much about the things you’re trying to figure. And yet so many people are still trying to figure out the future. It’s like trying to solve a problem without factoring in all the figures. People will offer you all kinds of “answers” which they have deduced about the future without all the figures, or they may say, “It’s fine.” But the truth is, they really don’t know. They only assume and “assumption is the lowest form of knowledge.” People who actually know are even rarer than good plumbers. And if you’ve worked with most plumbers then you know what I’m saying.

But don’t dismay, remarkably there is one who definitely knows the future, and honestly has all the figures. No, not a plumber, nor any person, not even yourself (if you can believe it), but it is the Almighty. He’s always on call and available to help at a moments notice. He truly does care about your problems and your future and when He says, “It’s fine” then you can know that it’s true, because He’s Almighty and He’s there for you.

On Call

God knows all and He’s always on call.
So if you need help - just ask, for He’s is able, no matter the task.
And even before you pray, He’s already there, with wisdom, power and knowledge to spare.
He’s simply waiting for you to believe, so call upon the Almighty and you shall receive.

Jer 33:3
3 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
NKJV

Matt 6b
For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
NKJV

Heb 4:16
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
NKJV

2 Cor 9:8-9
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
NKJV

Rom 10:12-13
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Forevermore

This life’s but a moment, contrasting everlasting.
However - there’s provision forever,
That we may never die; but live eternally.

And those who we know, but had to go,
We shall see again in heaven’s domain.
Then endless joy, we shall enjoy – united again immortally.

James 4:14b
For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
NKJV

John 6:47
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.
NKJV

John 11:25-26
25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
NKJV

John 16:16
16 "A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to the Father."
NKJV

John 16:22
22 Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.
NKJV

1 Thess 4:13-18
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
NKJV

1 Cor 15:50-58
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed — 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."

55 "O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?"

56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
NKJV

2 Cor 4:16-5:8
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

5 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
NKJV

John 14:1-3
14 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
NKJV

Rev 21:3-4
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
NKJV

Jude 1:24-25
24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.
Amen.

Grasshopper or Cookie Monster

Perspective has to do with point of view,
It’s the lens that you see the world through.
It greatly determines how well you do,
And will set your free, if it is true.

Get it wrong,
Sing a sad song,
And mope around all day long,
Corrupted vision, hinders lifelong.

Get it right,
Walk in the light,
Be filled with might,
And Delight!
Because you know your future’s bright.

You have the power to choose the way you see,
And determine how your life will be.
So with the lowly darkness will you agree,
Or have the higher view of the Almighty?

Matt 6:22-23
22 "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
NKJV

Luke 11:34-36
34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36 If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light."
NKJV

When it came time for Israel to possess the promise land they sent in twelve men to spy it out. For God had said, “Look, the Lord your God has set the land before you; go up and possess it, as the Lord God of your fathers has spoken to you; do not fear or be discouraged.” (Deut 1:21) But ten of the twelve men came back from the mission with grasshopper mentality. They gave a bad report and said, “We are not able to go up against the people for they are stronger than we.” and “we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight." And they complained saying, "If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims?” They had their eyes on themselves and not the Almighty and so their puny perspective caused them to perish. Everyone in their entire generation except Joshua and Caleb ended up dying in the wilderness. And it was because they couldn’t see things the way God saw them and so couldn’t possess His promises. Because of the way that they saw they said “we can’t!” and so they couldn’t.

But Joshua and Caleb had a different perspective for they said, “"Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it." And “If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, 'a land which flows with milk and honey.' Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them." And because of the way that they saw they said, “We can!” and so they could and they did. They only had to wait for all the naysayers to die and resist the puny perspective of the majority. They had to persist with the proper perspective through forty years of funerals in order to possess God’s promise.

One group said, “We were like grasshoppers” and ended up dead, while the others said, “they are our bread” and on the enemy fed. The victims looked at themselves and declared discouragement. But the victors looked at God and declared the victory. This is probably where we get the saying, “Those who say they can’t and those who say they can are both right.” And what say you depends on your sight.

Num 13:16 – 14:38

You can also read 1 Samuel Chapter 17. It’s another great story illustrating the effect of perspective.

The men of the armies of Israel were full of fear and dismay,
when a boy with God’s view point came, and their giant slay.

Matt 13:15-16
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Ps 36:9
9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

Knowledge

When seeking knowledge and how to obtain,
The source is not self so don’t strain your brain.

Man has no knowledge of the future to share,
No matter how much they study, strive and prepare.

Seek the Spirit of the Almighty, His Word accrue,
And receive His Wisdom and Knowledge to know what to do.

Solomon asked God for wisdom and knowledge and God gave it to Him. Much of his wisdom is recorded in the book of Proverbs so I recommend that you read a chapter of it everyday. There are thirty one chapters in the book and thirty one days in most months. If you will read a chapter every day you will be enriched in wisdom and enjoy. You will read through it twelve times a year and it will help you obtain the knowledge you need to make wise decisions.

But just because you have wisdom doesn’t mean that you will act like it. Love is still more important than knowledge. Solomon was considered to be the wisest man on earth. But with all his wisdom he still went astray because his love was lacking. So seek the Spirit of the Almighty and endeavor to obtain understanding of the Scriptures for the Word of God is the wisdom of the ages. But in all your seeking, seek first to love the Lord with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself.

Because the love of the Lord is the ultimate knowledge, and you will truly be wise when this you acknowledge.
When all of your decisions are founded in love, you’ll have the wisdom of the Almighty and walk in the knowledge thereof.

2 Chron 1:10-12
10 Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?"

11 Then God said to Solomon: "Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life — but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king — 12 wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like."
NKJV

Prov 1:1-7
1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:

2 To know wisdom and instruction,
To perceive the words of understanding,
3 To receive the instruction of wisdom,
Justice, judgment, and equity;
4 To give prudence to the simple,
To the young man knowledge and discretion —
5 A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,
6 To understand a proverb and an enigma,
The words of the wise and their riddles.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
NKJV

Prov 2:1-9
2 My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
4 If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
8 He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
Equity and every good path.
NKJV

Eccl 2:26-3:1
26 For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

3 To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
NKJV

Isa 11:2
2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
