Wake Up and Smell the Coffee!

Ahhh! What a great aroma! It makes me want to go do something. Even if you don’t like coffee it still smells good. It reminds me of this scripture.

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?” 2 Cor 2:14-16 NKJV

“Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation — an aroma redolent with life.” 2 Cor 2:15 MES

When there’s a real coffee shop around you can’t cover the aroma and when there’s real Christians around everyone will know it. It’s time to wake up and smell our calling. It’s all about helping people. How many of our goals or resolutions have to do with someone else? Helping others makes us happy because it’s a great part of fulfilling God’s will for our lives.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
Mark 10:45 NKJV

KJV – “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”

So the Bible asks the question, “And who is sufficient for these things?” and then gives us the answer.

“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Cor 3:5-6 NKJV

“…and not because we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our only power and success comes from God.” 2 Cor 3:4-5 TLB

“Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.” 2 Cor 3:5
AMP

YAY! We are qualified and sufficient in ability to serve and minister the very Life of God and how sweet it is! When the Spirit is working it’s like the coffee is brewing and there’s nothing you can do to hide it. When you seek God His Spirit will work in you, you won’t be able to help from helping others too! So consider this as you’re “resoluting” – Helping others makes us Happy! And the first two letters in Happy and Hallelujah are always Ha, Ha! So have a great day and be a blessing in every way!

1 Peter 4:10-11
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
NKJV

1 Peter 4:10-11
10 Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: 11 if words, let it be God's words; if help, let it be God's hearty help. That way, God's bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he'll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything — encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!
MES

1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God's many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].

11 Whoever speaks, [let him do it as one who utters] oracles of God; whoever renders service, [let him do it] as with the strength which God furnishes abundantly, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever (through endless ages). Amen (so be it). AMP

Stoked?

At this time of year many people are thinking about what they want to do – or at least feeling the pressure to. For most it’s nothing new but just a review as you renew what you think you “should do.” If you didn’t, “get your goals” last year you’re probably not too excited about going again. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” (Prov 13:12) When your dreams don’t come to pass and your resolutions just keep revolving it gets harder and harder to hope and you start your descent down a slippery slope. How long can you cope with unfulfilled hope until your heart begins to mope and to your dream says, “Nope!” Then in chagrin, you refuse to fail again, by avoiding to begin, as you nurse your woes within. You know that you “ought to” but you just don’t “want to!” Your desire has been fatally wounded, it should be white hot but it’s been reduced to a small flickering flame. You try to rebuild the fire but it seems all your fuel’s stuck in the mire of yesteryears wet wounds. Discouragement is dangerous disease and if not dealt with directly will cause dream decay. Everything’s harder with a heavy heart and the weight of woes, this invisible burden only the carrier knows. You may look fine on the outside but are you sputtering within? Does the “New Year!” somehow make you mad or deep down sad because know from the past that this glimmer of “hope” wont last? If so then you’ve got the dreaded disease and you need help.

People with grand dreams tend to discouragement. Thoughts of higher heights left unattained lead to deeper depths within the brain. The same “gift” that allows you to imagine the best also seems to enhance the worst. It’s either a full color dream or a vivid nightmare. And if the night has become your plight the answer is go to the light. The weight of the Word is always greater than the weight of your woes. His light has the might to bring you out of your darkest night but you have to “get close” to ignite. “Our God is a consuming Fire!” and fellowship with Him fuels the flames. When you meditate on the Word everyday you stoke the fire but when you don’t you begin to lose your desire. It can be a cold hard world out there so hope needs to be maintained to stay hot and if it’s not you’ll feel distraught. Over the years you may have stockpiled the weight of many woes. If the inner burden seems to be oppressing and pressing you it’s time to start a fire. That’s what you do with all your old worthless junk you burn it up so it’s gone once and for all. You invite the “Fire within” and let the life and passion of Jesus and His Word burn in your heart. And you invite the “Fire without” and become immersed in the Spirit and Fire of the Almighty! The world dumps its trash daily and you will either be a receptacle or an incinerator. It’s when you avoid the fire that life begins to be dark and stink. The sun rises daily in all it’s brilliance but many never see it because it’s obscured by the dark clouds of discouragement. But it’s an amazing thing that when you pray you are able to rise above it all and see the light. Your turmoil is temporary and there’s a higher place of perfect peace. Focus on the state of the world and you’ll live in the landfill or daily renew your faith in God and you’ll rise above and live in love!

I know I’m speaking to someone directly today so if you need help please pray this or something like it.

“Lord I ask you to set me free from all the woes and weight of the past. This time I believe my liberty last. I purpose to spend my life aware of You, so your love and glory can shine through. I’m trusting in Your Presence to fuel my desire and continually burn up the chaff with unquenchable Fire! Daily I’ll feed my hope with your Word so I can stay stoked as Your promise’s is invoked!”

Matt 11:28-30
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
NKJV

Matt 3:11-12
1 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
NKJV

Health and Success Supplement

The best supplement for health is pure life. Jesus said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” Paul told Timothy to be “nourished in the words of faith.” The scriptures contain the very life and wisdom of God, they are “the Bread of Life.” If you “eat” them and digest their virtue they will energize your spirit, renew your mind and quicken your body. When you read and listen to the Word it gets down in your heart then as you think about it you digest and it becomes a part of you. It’s a Pure Life Supplement and there’s nothing better!

Prov 4:20-22
My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.
NKJV

Ps 107:20-21
20 He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions.
21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
NKJV

Josh 1:8
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
NKJV

Ps 1:1-3
Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
NKJV

Isa 55:1-3
55 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
3 Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
NKJV

John 1:1-2
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, …

John 6:35-36
35 And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

Steps

The new year is coming fast and there’s so much to be done. “The Holidays” have a tendency to mess with schedules and the regular regimen. But don’t despair God will help you prepare, He has plans and the future in His hands. Just pray and obey everyday and know that He’ll help you and make the way.

Ps 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.

Use the Force

I’ve been thinking about the power of God and the state of people. It’s very interesting in the light of Newton’s laws of motion. God told us to “GO” but we know that it’s not possible without force.

Newton's first law:
“Every body persists in its state of being at rest or of moving uniformly straight forward, except insofar as it is compelled to change its state by force impressed.” Wikipedia

We will persist and exist in the same state until we are compelled to change by force. God’s grace is a spiritual force which when yielded to can radically and dramatically change our course. Not that we’re forced to change but we have the Force to change if we choose.

Newton's second law:
“Newton's second law states that the force applied to a body produces a proportional acceleration” Wikipedia

So if we want to “GO into all the world…” or “GO into the highways…” or “Arise and GO your way…” or “GO and sin no more…” It’s understood that God provides the power when we yield to the force. The acceleration and manifestation of our salvation and transformation is in relation to the quality of our communication and its application.

Newton's third law:
''To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction: or the forces of two bodies on each other are always equal and are directed in opposite directions''. Wikipedia

God’s grace is always greater than our weakness but He will not force the force upon us. He gives us the privilege to receive it. The forces of good and evil are constantly pressing upon us. Good is greater but is a result of choice and evil will manifest in the absence of that choice.

Rom 7:21-22
21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.
NKJV

Rom 12:21
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
NKJV

2 Cor 12:8-108 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. NKJV
Grace is not just some used bandage that we use to cover our mistakes. It is actually the supernatural force of God to change and heal. It’s the power and ability of God to GO and to be and all He created us to be. We will accelerate, succeed and maintain our momentum in proportion that we receive and yield to God’s grace. We were made to GO FAST! But you know that if you don’t continue to apply Force that it won’t last.

PIE90 Scripture:

Rom 5:17 - For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. NKJV

Bonus:

Matt 11:12 - And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. NKJV

Dynamo

God has his own spiritual “gravity.” The glory is the weight of His presence. When we drew near to God by faith we feel the effects of His greatness. We are changed and transformed by our fellowship with Him. When we put God in the center of our lives everything begins to revolve around Him. We are then pulled and put in motion by His power and love. Like the planets orbit the sun and move being pulled by gravity we orbit God and are propelled by His Glory. With Him in heart and at the hub of the wheel of our lives we become a dynamo and are empowered to GO and overcome any obstacle. As long as we stay close to Him we maintain our momentum but when we stray away we begin to coast and then the only place we can go is down hill. You know “objects in motion tend to stay in motion” and the good news is that you don’t have to provide your own power. If you yield to God’s working you’ll experience spiritual revolution and with dynamic power make your “contribution.”

Ezek 37:1-10
37 The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"

So I answered, "O Lord God, You know."

4 Again He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: "Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord."'"

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.

9 Also He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord God:"Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live."'" 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.
NKJV

Ezek 37:14
14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it," says the Lord.'"
NKJV

Acts 17:28
28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

The word “power” in this verse come from the Greek word “dunamis” which is dynamic miracle working power also power in motion. So united with God and by His power we become – “Dynamo!” Going in glory and taking the gospel to the ends of the earth!

Revolution!

It may seem like it’s bee a long night but the sun has never been restrained from rising. Even though the sun doesn’t really “rise” at all but the length of the night is determined by the position of the earth. Likewise our lives revolve around God and we will never fail to see His glory if we will complete the paths He set us on. The earth orbits the sun and is pulled along by its power and we continue to grow and go forth by the effect of the might of the Almighty. It’s not in our own effort that we build momentum but in our yielding to His working within. We don’t choose our own orbit or control the seasons of life. If we resist we will just grow weary and wear ourselves out. Can the earth deny the pull of the sun? What if it had a will to try? But in the divine order it spins and revolves effortlessly cycling in pure perfection. In the natural course of things the creation submits to the will of the creator and is able to endure every time and season knowing that it is occurring for a purpose. So whatever time or season you’re in you can deplore or adore but you’re going through it anyway so I say you might as well embrace it and enjoy it. Things will change! Resist and “try” to “make it happen” or “hurry things up” and you will tire and it will be though you are bogged down in dire mire. Or simply and daily yield and God’s plan will be fulfilled. When He’s free to work in thee, you’ll go forth with glee, moved by the Almighty, revolving around Him and cycling in pure perfection.

PIE90 Scripture:

Prov 4:18
The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn,
shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

Cast Out the Squatter

It’s time to come out of bondage, cross the wilderness and enter into the promise land!

Ex 13:3a
And Moses said to the people: "Remember this day in which you went out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out of this.
NKJV

Are you still in bondage even though the Redeemer has already come and given Himself as a sacrifice? He poured out His own life blood to pay the price to set you free. Liberty is a divine right and it’s by faith that you fight to obtain and maintain your blood bought gain!

"How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you?” (Josh18:3)

The promise is peace but you must possess it. The Prince of Peace came and paid the price for peace so that you could have perfect peace. His blood and His life He gave to establish the covenant of peace. The covenant gives you the divine right to have peace. Peace means to be complete and have nothing broken missing or lacking. Covenant rights are like Constitutional rights. You have them because someone else died but it’s your responsibility to comprehend, believe and stand for what’s right. If you don’t know your rights they will be violated. The enemy takes advantage of the ignorant and steals from those who refuse to resist. When you read the Book of the Covenant and believe what it says that’s called faith. And it’s “through faith and patience” that we “inherit the promises.” (Heb 6:12) You must believe that you have the right to possess and do what’s necessary to cast out the squatter. The adversary will lie and live on your land as long as you will let him and “neglect to possess.” Don’t let him deceive and leave you naïve. But read the Book and believe by faith fight and achieve and the promise receive.

Rom 10:17
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
NKJV

1 John 5:4
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. NKJV

1 Tim 6:12-13
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

Heb 6:11-12
11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
NKJV

Heb 6:11-12
11 And now I want each of you to extend that same intensity toward a full-bodied hope, and keep at it till the finish. 12 Don't drag your feet. Be like those who stay the course with committed faith and then get everything promised to them.

2010… GO!

In 2009 the goal was to “Get Fit for our King!” God wants us to be fit in every area – spiritually, mentally, physically, financially and relationally. Not only fit for His coming but also fit for His calling. We need to be ready, willing and able to obey without delay. To be fit and ready means to be in good condition, healthy, strong, qualified, equipped and outfitted. Seek God and submit to His daily regimen and He’ll train you and help you get supernaturally fit!

1 Thess 5:23-24
May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together — spirit, soul, and body — and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. 24 The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he'll do it!
MES

Once you get ready you could say you’re all set so what’s next? Ready! Set… GO! Now it’s time and the vision for 2010 is to GO! Practice PIE - pray and obey everyday and go do what God leads you to. We need to continue to “Get Fit” and stay fit so we’re always ready and set to go. Go into all the world and proclaim the good news - God sent a Savior so you could be whole and complete in every area. First of all in your relationship with Him as your Heavenly Father and then His excellence overflows into every other area of your life! He wants you to have perfect peace and nothing broken, missing or lacking in any area!

Isa 26:3-4
3 You will keep in perfect peace
him whose mind is steadfast,
because he trusts in you.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.
NIV

Heb 13:20-21
20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. NKJV

Phil 1:6-7
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
NKJV

1 Thess 5:23-24
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

PIE9 Scriptures:

Matt 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Mark 16:15
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

GOAL!!!!!

When seeking goals ask the One who knows. You have specific talents and tendencies inherent in your personality. You were created to succeed and there’s grace to win when you find your field. Athletes have different equipment for various venues likewise people are prepared to prosper in diverse arenas. Consider how you were created and what you’re equipped with. You need to know how you are and what you have. If someone six foot eight wants to race horses and someone five foot two wants to play pro basketball there will be a lot of feet dragging and armpit tasting frustration. No matter how much they may desire to be other than they are they never will because that’s not how they were “made.” They haven’t perceived their purpose or exerted their effort in the proper area. It’s like a shy person in sales or a librarian who can’t be quiet. Characteristically you are how you are so find a filed where and are free to “be me.” You can’t change how you were made but you can find where you fit.

Once you know your core take a look at your outfit. What equipment do you have? A football player and a hockey player probably have about the same personality but they still won’t win unless they arrive at the appropriate arena. They all have pads and helmets but can you imagine playing hockey in cleats or football on skates? This is like people who know how they are they just don’t know what they have. Sometimes you can acquire other education or equipment but many times you’ve just gotta go with what you’ve got. It’s your God given gifts that will get you your God given goals. Other goals may be “good” but will amount to nothing if you’re in the wrong arena. So when seeking goals ask the One who knows and do what He shows. You may not understand but just obey His command and He’ll bless the work of your hand. He’s your Creator and your Coach and knows better than you how and what you were made to do!

PIE90 Scripture:

Eph 2:10
10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

I AM in the AM

There’s just something about seeking God in the morning. Much of the world is asleep it’s very quiet and serene and God is awake and speaking to His people. He always awake and loves you intensely so He desires to fellowship with you early. Your mind is clear, your heart is open and so He teaches you and blesses you with His lavish love. Today challenges will come your way but God wants to strengthen you with joy and prepare you so that you can overcome and enjoy life. Struggles and failures will never last, they will always fade into the past but God is your ever present and eternal source of security. Times change, things change, people change but God remains the same. His mercies are new every morning. He has always loved you and always will. Everyday of your life He will be there for you. He will never leave or forsake you. He has a super-abundance of wisdom and special and glorious treasures made just for you. Daily He prepares gifts that will thrill your soul and help you keep your life in control. When you acknowledge Him He manifests His magnificence so you can revel in His revelation. Fellowship with God and especially early, it is one of the greatest blessings in the entire Kingdom. It’s intimate and personal time with your all-knowing, ever-loving, Almighty awesome Father. He is so eminent, intense and immense that it will take not only this lifetime but also “the ages to come” to “show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”(Eph 2:7)

Eph 2:4-7
4 But God — so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,

5 Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved ( delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation).

6 And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

7 He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor) in [His] kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus.

Ready, Set, GO!

Look at the calendar! This is your battlefield. It’s like a chess board and each day you get an opportunity to move and fulfill your dreams. If you want to get fit and prosper in every area you will need a strategy and a commitment to complete it. What you choose to do with your time will determine how you spend your life. Waste it and you will regret it. If you don’t pray and make plans someone else has plans for you - A spiritual enemy to destroy you, multi-billion dollar marketing to entice you, credit card companies to enslave you, people to take advantage of you, etc. There’s only so much of you to go around and “everybody wants you” to do something for them. Most of them want to win at your expense. They have a strategy to make this happen and if you merely exist and don’t resist you will lose. You’ll end your days, months and years and wonder where your life went.

A new year is on the horizon, what will you do? Will you fulfill God’s will and walk out your dreams? If so what steps will you take to ensure your progress? Now is the time to get ready because in 15 days the starting gun goes off and BOOM – 2010! Its time to GO! You ought to know where you’re going and what you’re doing before you get there otherwise you’ll just wander around aimlessly wasting time and money.

God gave me an overall goal simple strategy to fulfill His will and you’re welcome to join me. The goal is to - “Get Fit for our King!” and to fulfill His will. And the strategy to accomplish it is P.I.E.

To Get Fit!
Means to be in good condition, healthy, strong, ready, qualified, equipped and outfitted.

To Get Fit…In every area of life! – spiritually, mentally, physically, financially and relationally.

To Get Fit for Our King! – to fulfill His will. To be ready, willing and able to do whatever He wants, whenever He wants to do it.

As you fulfill His will you will be fulfilled and accomplish your God given dreams!

Here’s HOW! The Strategy:
P.I.E. – Pray and Obey EVERYDAY!
PRAY – Talk and Listen, Read and Write, Journal
ITEMIZE – WRITE IT DOWN! – Make a list – P.S. it!
Prioritize -
Strategize –
EXERCISE – Do it, act, accomplish, perform - fulfill God’s will!

In 2010 I will be doing four sets of PIE for 90 days each. I commit to execute the strategy to pray and obey everyday. By the end of the 2010 I expect to come full circle (360) in fulfilling God’s will for the year. I will be sending out messages and scriptures intended to be helpful in daily discipleship to everyone in the “Fit for Our King” group. This is just supplemental, your real spiritual nutrition and inspiration will come form your personal prayer time with God. You’ll need to make and do your own PIE everyday I’ll just be here to remind you and help you along the way. YOU CAN DO IT! Fulfill God’s will and walk in His ways and life will be so sweet! And you won’t end up wasting your life but tasting the rich fulfillment and be – Fit for Our KING!

Hab 2:1-4
2 I will stand my watch
And set myself on the rampart,
And watch to see what He will say to me,
And what I will answer when I am corrected.

2 Then the Lord answered me and said:

"Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.

4 "Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith.
NKJV

Hab 2:1-4
1 [OH, I know, I have been rash to talk out plainly this way to God!] I will [in my thinking] stand upon my post of observation and station myself on the tower or fortress, and will watch to see what He will say within me and what answer I will make [as His mouthpiece] to the perplexities of my complaint against Him.

2 And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day. [Heb 10:37,38.]

4 Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the [rigidly] just and the [uncompromisingly] righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness. [Rom 1:17; Gal 3:11.]
AMP

Heb 10:35-39
35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

37 "For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him."

39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

Rom 1:16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

Snooze, Zap, Vapor!

I press the snooze button and it vaporizes my time, my plans and my life. Snoozing is a waste of time! I’m not getting the benefits of being asleep or awake but floating somewhere in the middle in nowhere land. Add up all the time and I’ve already destroyed many months. The loss of time isn’t the worst part although it equates to a loss of life and productivity. But the bad thing is when I miss my appointment with God. Everyday when I fellowship and pray is when I receive the wisdom and strength to obey. And when I obey things seem to go my way. And when I don’t, I don’t even know what to do much less have the power to follow through. Then another day goes by and God’s will’s not done and my time’s like a vapor in the noon day sun.

If you want to fulfill your dreams wake up, snoozing can be done all day. How long will you delay to start what’s on your heart? Snoozing isn’t just reserved for the early morning many people do it their whole lives. The never get around to fulfilling their dreams the just keep pressing the mental snooze button. Excuses abound like the alarm clock beeping. If you have to make an excuse it just shows that you should have done something already but you’ve been too “busy” snoozing and saying, “I’ll do it soon.” Then you press the button again and ZAP – your dreams turn to vapor. Time is short your life will be over before you know it so don’t let this happen to you. It’s time to - Shut up! Get up! and Go do! What you know you ought to! Because you know the old saying, “If ya snooze ya loose!” And what you loose is life!

“For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”
James 4:14b
NKJV

Eph 5:14-17

Eph 5:14-17
14 Wake up from your sleep,
Climb out of your coffins;
Christ will show you the light!

17 Don't live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants.
MES

Rom 13:11-13
11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

No Results or Snow Results?

Snow reminds me of prosperity! I’m sure it’s valuable because God keeps it in a treasury. LOL

Have you entered the treasury of snow?
Job 38:22a NKJV

Nope! But I’d like to and I hope there’re also mountains in it there so we can go ridin! But in the mean time …

Isa 58:14
…you delight yourself in the Lord, and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth!
AMP

I don’t think He was talking about snowboarding here but I always think of this scripture when I go! I’m sure He foreknew it foresaw me ridin! Ha-Ha! Anyway I must have boarding on the brain but the snow is valuable for much more than that. Even if you don’t enjoy it, you enjoy the results of it. The harvest of summer is directly related to the water of winter. The clouds sow and the earth stores up snow and to water the earth that it might bring forth and grow. If we go without we end up in drought resulting in lack. But plenty of water provides prosperity.

This is the way the Word works. You receive it on a regular basis and it soaks in and then brings forth fruit. Sometimes when the preacher is talking it’s “piling up” and it seems like you’ve got more than enough but they just keep talking. Day after day and week after week and on and on do these guys ever shut up? And just when you think you’ve shoveled through the last message here they go again. And does not God Himself speak to you day by day? (Isa 50:4) If you will listen and receive His Word’s it will produce results. And if you don’t it won’t and you’ll end up in the dessert looking for and oasis. But if you delight in and meditate on His Word day and night you be “like a tree planted by rivers of water.” And where does the water come from? It was stored up in the mountains in the season of snow. So if your life looks like winter, rejoice! The source of your success is piling up and it will surely bring forth fruit.

"For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Isa 55:10-11 NKJV

Isa 55:11
11 My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow.
It will not come back to me without results.
It will accomplish whatever I want
and achieve whatever I send it to do."
GOD'S WORD

Isa 55:11
11 So is My word that goeth out of My mouth, It turneth not back unto Me empty, But hath done that which I desired, And prosperously effected that [for] which I sent it.
YLT

PIE90 Scripture:

Ps 1:2-3
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

DIE HARD! - Christian

My eyes are glazed and I’m in the fire! What the hell is happening to me? I feel like I’ve been pushed and stretched to the limit! I do not know why this is happening to me but I do know that I am in the hands of my Creator. I just didn’t think it would hurt so much. Shall I strive with Him and try to get free of the pressure or embrace it and press through to victory? He empowers me with might and the weight only makes me stronger. What looks like it might destroy me only refines me and brings forth the brilliance of my Maker. Why does He make me a masterpiece? Is there not an easier way? He tests and tries me to make sure I will not fail in any adversity. I am tempered and ready for battle. Pressure comes before promotion so in this I rejoice. I don’t necessarily “enjoy” the training but it is good to know that I am ready, and come hell or high water, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord! (Ps 118:17) This ain’t no picnic, eternal life and death are on the line! I’ll go to hell AND BACK if necessary to save souls! For God has made a mighty conqueror over my foes. I am invincible, immortal, everlasting and indestructible infused with the Spirit of the Almighty! My body and soul may cry but my spirit will never die. I live from the inside out so I am undaunted and determined. I ignore the blood sweat and pain so at the end I will not be ashamed. I am a die hard Christian knowing that nothing not even death cannot snatch me from my Master’s hand. So come what may, I will stand strong, live long and be free knowing my God will complete what He began in me for all to see in eternity!

Jer 18:1-7
18 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: 2 "Arise and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause you to hear My words." 3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. 4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.

5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 6 "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?" says the Lord. "Look, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!

took us to hell and back;
Finally he brought us

NKJV

1 Peter 1:7
7 Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.
MES

1 Peter 4:12-14
12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
NKJV

1 Peter 4:12-13
12 Friends, when life gets really difficult, don't jump to the conclusion that God isn't on the job. 13 Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.

Daniel Chapter 3

Isa 43:2

Rom 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

"For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
NKJV

1 Cor 15:51-58
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed — 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."

55 "O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?"

56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

In Him I Abide So God Will Provide!

God said that He will provide and so He will. Much of the need we deal with is emotional. Some "times" are more challenging financially but how you it’s how you feel about it that determines how much you struggle. If you have food clothing and shelter it’s really not that bad. It’s the stress and fear of losing your stuff that makes you unhappy. And how will you “look” to the others around you? This is not material need but emotional. Most people haven’t missed many meals lately but much of the world seems to be worried. Just stop worrying about your stuff God said that He’d take care of it and so that’s that. And if you don’t get to keep something don’t worry there’s a million more where that came from. You have the ability to set yourself free simply by choosing not to worry about it. We do what we can to “make ends meet” and God will help us but sometimes He’ll do it by changing our “ends.” So don’t get all attached to your “ends” but enjoy the process of living. For life itself is not an “end” but a means to an “end.” Being happy should not be determined by what you have but who you’re with. And you’re with God and He has everything so surely everything is going to be all right! Focus on Him and you’ll be able to rejoice and have peace and confidence no matter what happens to every thing around you because your needs are met and you’re secure in Him. And you always have peace because the God of Peace Himself lives in you and having much or little will never change that. There’s no need to worry! Your Father’s with you and He said that He would take care of you. So in His presence abide knowing He will provide.

Luke 12:32
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Heb 12:28-29
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
NKJV

Matt 6:25-34
25 "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28 "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
NKJV

Matt 6:32-33
32 People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. 33 Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

Don’t Just Give – Forgive!

God loved you so much He gave His Son. But He didn’t only give He also forgave. The good news is that you are forgiven. He’s not holding your wrongs against you. It feels good to be forgiven and if you receive Him and this great gift then you should also give it. Harboring unforgiveness is like eating poison and you need to get it out of your system once and for all. “Yea but what they did was so wrong!” Exactly, that’s why you need to forgive, if what they did was right there would be no need for forgiveness. When you forgive you release the offender into God’s hands and He sets you free from the residue of the hurt and shame. You’re black and blue when you’re livid but choosing to forgive and love makes you bright and vivid. Every time you remember and review “the evil event” it’s like putting some arsenic in your tea. Unforgiveness - a self inflicted curse - rehearse and you’ll end up needing a nurse or in a hearse. So don’t just give but forgive, for forgivers are the happy ones and real life live-ers! “And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” (Acts 20:35) And forgiveness is even greater than giving!

Matt 6:9-15
9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
NKJV

Mark 11:25-26
25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."
NKJV

Luke 17:1-4
17 Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! 2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. 3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."
NKJV

John 20:23
23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."

PIE90 Scripture:

Luke 23:32-34
32 There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. 33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."

Filthy Beach or Ocean Blue?

Without fellowship with the Father we flounder like a fish out of water. Prayer puts us in contact with God and gets us in our element. Outside of this we live like “mere unchanged men.” We flop around and try to look cool but it won’t last long. This life is like a vapor and then it’s eternity in the real realm of the spirit. Even if we could acquire everything and satiate all our natural desires our heart will still not be satisfied. God set eternity in our hearts created us to be filled with His everlasting love. Fabulous fame and fortune will fail but fellowship with the Father is forever – for those who are His.

The spirit realm is like an ocean and humanity like a bunch of sunburned fish on a filthy beach - gasping for love, flapping for attention, yearning and searching for meaning all with sand in the gills. When one receives Jesus they are born of the Spirit and have access back into the realm they came out of. Being washed and cleansed they begin to swim and explore the immensity of eternity. In the spirit they are free and find what and how they were made to be. Having entered into life they begin to enjoy and understand “forever.” The natural realm is about as stable the beach is going to be removed shortly but the spirit realm is like an ocean of eternity. Now there’s nothing more important to do than to preach this good news and try to help the fish on dirty beach understand before its too late.

So come on in the water’s fine! And if “you’re in” stay in you you’ll get all sunburned and dirty again.

John 3:3-8
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
NKJV

John 3:6-8
6 What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not [do not be surprised, astonished] at My telling you, You must all be born anew (from above).

8 The wind blows (breathes) where it wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neither know where it comes from nor where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.

John 1:12-13
12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name — [Isa 56:5.]

13 Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!]

Irony

Should we stress out over the celebration of the birth of the Prince of Peace? He came, “To guide our feet into the way of peace." (Luke 1:79b) are we following His lead. He said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”( John 14:27) So who feels overburdened and worried about Christmas? Tis the season to freak out and be fearful if you’re not careful. What really is “the reason for the season?” The angel knew and declared, "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" (Luke 2:14) So it is a wonderful time to praise and rejoice but if for any reason of season you lose your peace you missed the point. And if you miss the point you’ll end up disappointed. December can be highly stressful and especially if money is tight. But Jesus said “You cannot serve both God and Money.” (Matt 6:24 NIV) So should we go out and acquire more debt and become “the servant of the lender” to supposedly celebrate the birth of the One who came to set us free. It’s not that we really want to be the lenders slave and serve money we just don’t want anyone to be disappointed. We want them to know we love them but it’s easier to express with gifts than honest words. But our whole life is supposed to be a reflection of love and giving so why would we only focus on it once a year. People are also afraid of what someone might think about them or not think about them but the Savior came to set us free from fear. Many gifts are given more for the sake of the giver than the “givee.” Because it makes the giver feel good and because the giver wants to do it but many times the person receiving could care less. So this is really selfish and being motivated by wrong motives which He came to deliver us from. Jesus wants to “pour out His love into or hearts” yet how many people actually receive it and “walk in it” and especially while they are Christmas shopping? He came to reconcile us to God the Heavenly Father so we could be fulfilled by relationship and not unfilled seeking stuff but how many people are now stressed seeking stuff and not focused on the Father?

I like Christmas just fine I just don’t like all the stress and pressure that goes with it. I’m not being a Scrooge but many people really don’t enjoy this time of year. And there’s even religious pressure as many people try to make up some kind of meaning to go with all the decorations. Decking the halls can be delightful but a heavy heart just sees a bunch of stuff. “Even in laughter the heart may sorrow, and the end of mirth may be grief.” (Prov 14:13) The condition of people’s hearts is more important than the condition of their houses. Are there any “decorations” on the inside or are they filled with sorrow? Don’t miss the message and end up acting ironic, moronic and demonic.

Jesus came to give us love, joy and peace - with God and toward each other and that is what we celebrate - right? So I say celebrate and enjoy and don’t get caught in the trap. Don’t worry about all the “stuff” but focus on loving God and loving people. And if you have lots of money by all means buy lots of stuff as long as it has some meaning. And if you don’t then don’t worry about it you can always find a way to express your love you can always bake or make something or simply and sincerely say “I love you!” Give your heart, love and loyalty as your gift to show that you value your relationships. God gave Himself! What will you give?

PIE 90 Scripture:

Isa 55:1-2
55 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;

God Will Provide!

God will provide! It’s usually not the way I think it should be done but He knows better and does it His way. All I need to know is that He said that He would do it. That should be enough for me and I don’t need to go around pouting when I don’t get my way. When I choose my will and my way and submit to selfishness I end up sorry. So I need to start today and everyday knowing everything will be okay if I simply follow God and choose His way, “The-LORD-Will Provide” along the way!

Gen 22:1-18

22 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!"

And he said, "Here I am."

2 Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you."

6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. 7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, "My father!"

And he said, "Here I am, my son."

Then he said, "Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?"

8 And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering." So the two of them went together.

9 Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!"

So he said, "Here I am."

12 And He said,"Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me."

13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, "In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided."

15 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, 16 and said:"By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son — 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."
NKJV

Gal 3:8-9
8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
NKJV

Gal 3:13-14
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
NKJV

1 Tim 5:8
8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
NKJV

PIE90 Scripture:

Eph 2:19-20
19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God
NKJV

You are “members of the household of God” and so surely God will “provide for His own” we simply need to follow Him. It doesn’t make sense to us because we can’t see the future. He had a man build an ark on dry ground, sent a man to a mountain to ‘not’ sacrifice his son, a shepherd to a Pharaoh to deliver His people, a prophet to a starving widow for food, a young man to Egypt before a famine who just happened to find out about it in jail and a Mighty Savior and King in the form of a baby. The bottom line is that God that He would do it so stop trying to figure out how and just believe it and do what you believe He’s leading you to do. After all this I think that He likes surprise endings. The overly analytical and super studious will never be able to figure out “what’s up” it’s simply reveled as we walk with Him.

Consider This

The Bible tells exactly what to consider and what not to consider. If you consider the wrong things you will become weary and discouraged in your soul and faint in your mind. You will be old and feeble before your time because of weakness of mind. But if you have divine insight and consider what’s right you be strengthened with might.

Do not consider your own body or your circumstances. Don’t sit around and think about why you can’t do what you know you should do or you won’t be able to. Even though “you can” you have disabled yourself because it’s easier to be weak and make excuses. You are about as strong or weak as you think you are everything else can be overcome because the Almighty lives within you. Don’t expect God to make things easier, expect Him to make you stronger as you exercise your faith and press through the difficulty.

Consider Jesus and what He went through for you. Go about and think about what you can do because God said that He would enable you. Remember that the Greater One lives in you and “all things are possible with God” and that you’re with God! You “CAN DO ALL THNGS THROUGH CHRIST” Who strengthens you! Be strengthened in faith and give glory to God by being fully convinced that what He promised He is able to perform.

So if you consider yourself you will be frail and fail but if you “COINSIDER HIM” you be strengthened with might to win the battle and do what’s right!

Rom 4:19-22
19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
NKJV

Heb 12:3-4
For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. 4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.
NKJV

Heb 12:3
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Heb 12:3

Don’t sit around and consider what you can’t do! Go about and think about what can do with the Almighty helping you!

Be Aware!

Today I don’t have much time so let me just say make sure you fellowship with God on your way. Wherever you go and whatever you do always remember that He’s there with you! Let your heart rejoice, your mind be at rest, by God’s grace do your best. With God there’s joy and liberty and its wonderful to live with Him in thee!

Heb 13:5-6
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." 6 So we may boldly say:

"The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?"
NKJV

Heb 13:5-6

5 Don't be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, "I'll never let you down, never walk off and leave you," 6 we can boldly quote,

God is there, ready to help;
I'm fearless no matter what.
Who or what can get to me?
MES

Heb 13:5-6
….be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not,[I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down ( relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] [Josh 1:5.]

6 So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?

Got Time?

"Lost time is never found again.” -Benjamin Franklin

If you need more time then you probably need to give some. Have you ever noticed that people who don’t have any time for anyone else never seem to have any for themselves. If you give time you will end up getting time. You reap what you sow, so sow.

Imagine what happens when you give time to God. He’s has the ability to transcend time. You give some of your finite time to God He gives you something infinite.

If you need to make more of your time keep a schedule and make sure that God is in it.

"You cannot kill time without injuring eternity." — Henry David Thoreau

Eph 5:15-18
15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
NKJV

Eph 5:15-17
15 So watch your step. Use your head. 16 Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times!
17 Don't live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants.
MES

Eph 5:15-17
15-16 So be careful how you act; these are difficult days. Don't be fools; be wise: make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good. 17 Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to.
TLB

Eph 5:15-17
15 So be careful how you live. Don't live like ignorant people, but like wise people. 16 Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days. 17 Don't be fools, then, but try to find out what the Lord wants you to do.
GNT

Eph 5:13
Be constantly taking heed there-fore how accurately you are conducting yourselves, not as unwise ones but as wise ones, buying up for yourselves the opportune time, because the days are pernicious. On this account stop becoming those who are without reflection or intelligence, but be understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Wuest

Eph 5:15-17
15 Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),
16 Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.

Tricks of the Trade

Have you ever been trying to do something or figure something out and someone comes along and points out the solution? It’s usually simple and you wonder why you didn’t think of it before. If you know “the tricks of the trade” your life will be a lot better and if you don’t you will be frustrated. I worked for a tile guy once he would “just stick” big marble tiles right on the ceiling. When I first saw this I though that all that weight was going to come crashing down and destroy the tiles and the tub. He told me that people try to do all kinds of crazy things to try and hold up their tiles. Like sheets of plywood propped up on 2x4s or using long sticks and such but it’s ridiculous and unnecessary when you know the “secret” is suction. If you put your thin set on right then it creates suction and holds everything up. Who knew? So I guess in that case saying “this really sucks” is a good thing. And I still remember being slightly amazed and thinking we were going to come back the next day to a huge mess and slightly disappointed when we didn’t.

Tricks of the trade are very valuable and usually learned by working with a master. God is the ultimate Master Craftsman, architect and engineer of life itself. He knows all the “tricks” for good living and everything else. Whenever you acknowledge Him He will teach you and constantly show you better ways to do things. You have the awesome privilege of learning all “the secrets of life” from the Omniscient Creator. You can do all kinds of crazy, ridiculous and unnecessary things and “try” to live the good life and end up frustrated or you can simply learn form the Master and enjoy it! It’s a wonderful thing to fellowship with the Father and amazing to go about having lots of “little revelations.”

Wisdom – the Master Craftsman

Prov 8:22-26
22 "The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way,
Before His works of old.
23 I have been established from everlasting,
From the beginning, before there was ever an earth.
24 When there were no depths I was brought forth,
When there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled,
Before the hills, I was brought forth;
26 While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields,
Or the primal dust of the world.
27 When He prepared the heavens, I was there,
When He drew a circle on the face of the deep,
28 When He established the clouds above,
When He strengthened the fountains of the deep,
29 When He assigned to the sea its limit,
So that the waters would not transgress His command,
When He marked out the foundations of the earth,
30 Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman;
And I was daily His delight,
Rejoicing always before Him,
NKJV

Now He’s passing on His wisdom to us. Whohoo! We get to know the tricks of God’s trades!

1 Cor 2:9-12
9 But as it is written:

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

The Father’s Hand

When you feel the pressure – praise! Be thankful and remember “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4) Do you remember when you were a small child and crossing a busy street was intimidating. But there was never much fear when someone was there to help you. And God has said
“For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.” (Isa 41:13)
So if what you’re facing is making your heart sink and you think that you’ll never get through it. Remember that you are not alone but with your Almighty Father. He will lead you to the other side and comfort you along the way. He’s in charge and able to bring all the traffic to a stop if necessary. So when you feel the pressure – Praise! Not praise for the adversity but because the One who is with you is greater than all and able to help you overcome every obstacle!

Isa 41:10-13
10 Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

11 "Behold, all those who were incensed against you
Shall be ashamed and disgraced;
They shall be as nothing,
And those who strive with you shall perish.
12 You shall seek them and not find them —
Those who contended with you.
Those who war against you
Shall be as nothing,
As a nonexistent thing.
13 For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.'
NKJV

Ps 91:14-16
14 "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation."
NKJV

Prayer helps you get God’s perspective when you feel overwhelmed and small it’s like He puts you on His shoulders and makes you real tall.
