Muster Your Mettle!

Don’t be lame and lazy and in status quo settle, but forge ahead, muster your mettle!

Heb 10:35-39
5 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

37 "For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him."

39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
NKJV

Phil 3:12-14
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
NKJV

Phil 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Voices?!

Preachers are like alarm clocks, even if you get the best one in the world it still won’t do you any good unless you do they say. And a simple one will do as long as it’s set right. They remind us when to stop sleeping and help us get to work on time. Without some sort of alarm most people just waste the day away. And when it comes to the work of Kingdom are you busy about His business or simply sleeping because you have no consistent and clear voice to stir you on? The clock does not try to control your life and neither should the preacher but if you get a good one they’ll encourage you to do what you already know you should, even if you don’t like it sometimes. How many alarm clocks have you thrown away and how many of you have gotten rid of your preachers? I know that most are annoying and it took me years to find one that I could actually enjoy wakening to. But thank God for iPods and not just some beepin buzzer or random song or preacher on the radio. Not every voice is good to you, and you don’t have the same clanging clocks as you parents did but there is always a new sound for a new generation. So I encourage you to find someone who words can enliven you, who will help you do what God put on your heart to do and continue to follow through. Because the good work you’ve begun needs to get done and if you fall short you can’t blame it on the alarm, the preacher or anyone. Find a sound voice who will help you make the right choice.

John 10:1-6
10 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers."
NKJV

John 10:27-29
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
NKJV

Mark 1:1-3
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 2 As it is written in the Prophets:

"Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You."
3 'The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
'Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make His paths straight.'"

YAY Day Heyday!

Focus on what’s good everyday and cheer, “YAY” enjoy and encourage yourself and keep the blues away. You can think about whatever you want and choose to look at the bright side or the dark side. Rom 16:19-20
19 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. 20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Rom 12:21
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

47 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
2 For the Lord Most High is awesome;
He is a great King over all the earth.

2 Cor 2:14
14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

What’s in your Bucket?

Why Don’t You Do What You Wanna Do? The Lord seems to be asking me this question lately and so I’ve been thinking about it and working on getting an understanding of what He’s really asking. I know He’s not talking about fulfilling the lust of the flesh but the good dreams and desires that are in my heart.

It seems like many people never really do what they wanna to do but just go through life thinking “someday” they will but for now the demands of life, fear of failure and excuses prevail. “Life is busy”, “I have to work”, “I don’t have the money”, “I’m out of shape”, “I’ll do it later”, “I’ll be rejected” etc... Make a schedule, take the time, get the money, get in shape, reconcile the relationships and do it. If you don’t at least began to take steps to go the direction the Lord is leading you then you’ll never get there. “Yea, but I’ve tried and failed!” Good for you! Now it’s time to learn from and become the master of your mistakes because if you don’t they may master you. Don’t stay down on the ground whining and nursing your woes and get up and go again. The difference between chumps and champions is often only attitude. You’ll never achieve excellence without a few bruises on your backside. You’ll probably get your butt kicked before you learn to kick butt, but if you don’t quit you won’t lose! You need to get active and bold before you get too old. Life is short and before you know it you’ll be looking back on most of it. So what do you have to look forward to and what are you gonna do? And when you do end up kicking the bucket will be empty because of procrastination and the fear of failure? Or will it be full of what God has revealed and dreams and desires fulfilled?

Ps 37:3-5
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
NKJV

James 1:25
25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

You'll Do What You Want To

When it comes to changing your life for good, desire is the key not compulsion. You may be able to force yourself to do something for a while but if you can’t find the “want to” you won’t win in the long run. People tend to do what they desire, so before aspire to go higher you will have to light the fire within so you can endure till the end. If you try to do what you’re driven to but the affection is not in you, you won’t be able follow through. You have to take the time to get your heart right to have the strength to win the fight. And once you get it right you have to keep it right because your outside is a reflection of you insight.

So here’s what to do before you do something new, make firm your desire, find your “want to”. Then once you began make sure you stay true because you’re gonna do what you wanna do.

Matt 12:35-36
35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

Right?

The best solution in the world unapplied still won’t work. Most problems persist not for lack of information but application. We know what to do because God’s Word is true, and we can do what we know for where He leads He empowers to go. It’s not some great big mystery that we can’t understand nor is it beyond our God given ability. Simply said it’s love God and love people and God didn’t tell you to do something that you can’t do. And until you do you will have problems because you’re not living right. People try to do all kinds of stuff to fix themselves up but it’s like painting a house without a foundation. You may be able to cover it up for a bit but the storms of life will soon reveal what’s underneath. The way of the world is to criticize and complain and then sit around and wonder why they have such woe. Whining is obviously not working and when no one is working things only get worse. If you want to feel right and for things to go right you will first have to do right. And what’s right – Love. It’s the first and greatest commandment and the commandment itself contains the power and is the source of the solution.

Deut 30:11-14
11 "For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' 14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.
NKJV

Matt 7:24-27
24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26 "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."
NKJV

James 1:22-25
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
NKJV

James 2:8-9
8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well;
NKJV

Deut 30:19-20
19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days…

Soul Symphony

It’s time to clear out the clutter and destroy the disorder. Do you think heaven is all littered with laundry and scattered with stuff? I imagine it as a place of perfect peace with everything in place like an orchestra in order. And the same God who harmonizes heaven has come to reside and resound in your heart. The Omnipotent Orchestrator, who Himself is Perfect Peace diligently desires to manifest in your mind. So it’s time to leave the mess and mayhem behind and clean out the jumble of junk from your inner space and give God place. For you were not created to clatter and express the world’s woe but instead let your soul be the sound of His symphony!

Rom 6:13
13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

Eph 3:14-21
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Rejoice?!

For you only you can make the choice to rejoice. Not because life’s perfect but because God’s good and because He said you should. When you don’t feel like is when you need it most so make a choice don’t be morose. You can focus on what’s wrong but God’s always right and with Him you know your future’s bright. So choose to be sad and mad when things are bad or make the choice to rejoice with all your heart and soul and voice!

Phil 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

“It is GOD Who Works in You!”

You are God’s workmanship! He is your Creator and the Master Craftsman working in you. He will perfect that which concerns you and bring to completion the good work that He has begun in you. Don’t get impatient when it seems like He’s taking too long, He knows exactly what He’s doing. Quality takes time, you’re made in His image, and now He’s teaching you to live according to His likeness. From the core of your being He’s bringing forth His love, great joy and enabling you to walk in perfect peace. Your part is but to believe and receive, to work with the One who’s working in you. Trust and obey and know that day by day you’re being transformed by His love that you may walk in His ways.

Ps 139:13-18
For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.
NKJV

Ps 138:7-8
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand

Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

Two True by Three

Two are better than one, and a threefold cord is not easily broken. Relationships are very valuable and the best way to preserve them is by having God in the midst of them. He is the third cord, everlasting and full of virtue. He strengthens and reinforces us with might through His Spirit in the inner man. Nothing in the entire creation can separate us from us from His love. When we yield to what He wants to do He gives us strength anew. He is the flexible and Almighty glue able to unite the two make us true and bring us through!

Eccl 4:9-12
9 Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor.
10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up.
11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm;
But how can one be warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
NKJV

Eph 4:15-16
15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ — 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
NKJV

Rom 8:34-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

"For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
NKJV

Eph 6:10
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Would you rather be Green or Purple?

You are spirit, God is Spirit and when you mix spirit with Spirit you get Spirit. It’s like mixing water with water. Without God your spirit is like yellow water and God’s Spirit like blue, but when you receive Jesus He pours His Spirit into your Spirit so you become green. You’re still spirit but it’s a new creation. You are no longer merely man – yellow, nor are you God – blue, but you are a God/man – green. When it comes to heaven if your spirit is yellow He says, “No” and if it’s green He says, “Go!” But the implications are far greater than that, just think about what it means to be one spirit with God! And don’t be yellow, dead water and afraid of death, instead be green – full of everlasting life and good to go.

If you can’t see yourself as green, than how about purple? If your spirit is red and God’s blue, then with Him within purple. You may be full of fear, animosity and in danger of eternal death, but if you will receive Jesus then He will pour His Spirit into your and you will be forever changed and a new creation. You were red, “having no hope and without God in the world” but now you are purple “are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

So yellow and blue make green and red and blue make purple and “I and My Father are one." this is the Glory!

“Filled with all the Fullness of God”

It feels good to be full having had the feast of your fancy. Likewise and better it is to be one with the Almighty - lavished with His love and living in union and communion with Him. You are complete in Him, He completes you and you complete Him. It was always meant to be for He choose you before the foundation of the world and made you not only the object of His greatest affection but also His eternal dwelling place by election. And He does not just live in you like one lives in a house unless you’re merely talking about your body for your body is a house of flesh but the real you is the spirit that abides inside. Your spirit is likened unto water and God poured His Living water into your water. What do you get when you mix water with water? So your spirit created in the image and likeness of God’s Spirit and filled with His Spirit becomes one spirit. It’s a new creation!

ONE

Pray and ask God to help you comprehend what it means to be one with Him God. You will need His help because your intellect is ruled by reason and will want to resist this revelation. “…the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Cor 2:14) You are a spirit created in the image and likeness of God. You have a soul and live in a body. But you, the real you is an eternal spirit being. You were made to exist forever and forever you will, with or without God. With God is eternal life and without him is eternal death. When you receive Him you are not just receiving Him as Lord and Savior but are actually receiving Him and all of Him - “...that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Eph 3:19) Not only filled with Him but joined with Him and one in spirit. This is the Glory. “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.” (Jn 17:22) And so you may say like Jesus said, “I and my Father are one!”

Eph 5:30-32
30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 31 "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
NKJV

1 Cor 6:15-17
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For "the two," He says, "shall become one flesh." 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
NKJV

1 Cor 6:17
17 But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.

1 Cor 6:17
17 But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

John 17:20-23
20 "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

-ism’s and Schisms

Religious people worship objects and “the unknown god.” There are all kinds of religions in the world, Buddhism, Hinduism, Mormonism, Satanism, Materialism, Alcoholism, Selfism and even Christianism. An “ism” is a doctrine, theory or system whose name ends in –ism. You can make almost anything an –ism but the problem is still schism. You can worship whatever you want but still not know what or whom you worship intimately. Dead religion worships dead things, worldly religion the things of the world, selfish religion is obsessed with self, Creationism with the creation, and even Satanic people are very religious. Christianism worships the images and doctrines of Christ and the kingdom of God system and yet it seems that many still have not become one with God Himself. You’ve heard the old saying, “It’s not about religion but relationship” and it’s true but you can still have some sort of twisted fantastical relationship with someone you don’t really know. How many people seem to have a relationship with some celebrity but don’t really know them? It’s true that person exists but the posters, objects and images are just dead idols and the worship of them idolatry. Has Christianity become your idolatry?

If we’re not careful we will just become like little Jesus groupies following and worshipping someone we don’t even know. God has a mega multitude of fans but why try to just get by with religion or even some sort of relationship when you can actually be His offspring and partakes of the Divine nature. Relationship is still better than religion but what God really had in mind was union. Not just to know about God or even to know God which is better but it can still be like a long distance relationship. But He intends for us to receive Him and be reborn, recreated and regenerated as one of His very own children just like Jesus - to be filled with all the fullness of God through and through, united and one with Him in Spirit True.

Acts 17:22-30
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, "Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; 23 for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:

TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.

Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: 24 God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.' 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising.
NKJV

2 Peter 1:2-4
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
NKJV

2 Peter 1:3-4
3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).

4 By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.

John 17:22-23
22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
NKJV

1 John 4:15-16
15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. NKJV

John 1:12-13
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
NKJV

John 3:5-8
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
NKJV

1 John 3:1
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! NIV

Titus 3:4-7
4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
NKJV

Amen.
NKJV

Eph 3:19
19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

Enduring – According to His Riches in Glory

“You have need of endurance” and “my God shall supply all your need.” Endurance isn’t easy otherwise it wouldn’t be called endurance. But you don’t have to do it in your own strength and try to “pull yourself up by your own bootstraps.” God said that He would “supply all your need according to His riches in glory” and “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.” He gives you the force of fortitude and if you “use the force” then you can abide in cheerful and patient perseverance. So you are, “Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.” You can say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Including endure and receive the promise because it’s “‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the Lord of hosts.”

“You have need of endurance” and “my God shall supply all your need!”

Heb 10:35-36
35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

They Have a “Good” Personality

I encourage you to personalize this and think about what it means to you…

The key to be free is to be me with an enhanced personality, quickened by the Almighty. His Word sets me free for when I see Him I see me. By His Word I’m transformed, by His Spirit conformed as His will is performed. All I yield will be filled His kingdom to build. He expresses His originality shining through my personality.

11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Your Focus Determines Your Locus

Your mental location can either be one of frustration or elation depending at how you look at the situation. The common mans perspective of a challenging circumstances produces irritation and trepidation and leaves you needing medication. But if you take the Word as a foundation and use your imagination to get a revelation of God’s perspective on the situation it produces expectation. So resist the temptation to get your concentration on all the negative information. Make a determination to seek the God of Creation and let His realization and admiration be the motivation for all you occupation. Take an eternal vacation from desperation and have a continual celebration in meditation and anticipation of God’s manifestation in your situation without reservation!

Eph 2:4-7
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

NKJV

2 Cor 4:16-18
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
NKJV

Heb 11:27-28
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.
NKJV

2 Cor 5:7-8
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
NKJV

Rom 10:17
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
NKJV

1 John 5:4-5
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
NKJV

Rom 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

"For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

NKJV

Rom 12:2
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
NKJV

Rom 12:1-2
1 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life — your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life — and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. 2 Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
MES

Eph 4:23-24
23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

74 To grant us that we,
Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
Might serve Him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.

Temporary Trials – Eternal Encouragement

Having an eternal mindset helps us cope with temporary setbacks. In the light of eternity all challenges are temporary. Whatever we’re going through we’re going through so it won’t last forever but we will so we’ve already won we just might not know it yet. If we can see it then it’s subject to change but God remains the same and our hope is in Him. He has a plan and at times we don’t understand but our destiny He commands and our allegiance He demands. Looking at and listening to the tick-tock of the clock amplifies agony but encouragement arrives when we get our eyes on eternity.

NKJV

Rom 8:18-19
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Trust and Obey!

If you want to fulfill God’s will pray everyday and be bold to obey. Enjoy fellowship with Him as you go on your way. Then He will fill you with joy and empower your hand “all the live-long day!”

Prov 16:20
He who heeds the word wisely will find good,
And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.
NKJV

It reminds me of the hymn written by John H. Sammis in 1887. Times may change but the way to fulfill Gods will and be happy while doing it remains the same. If you take the words of this song to heart and do what it says I believe it will be a blessing and a help. Enjoy!

Trust and Obey ( John H. Sammis)

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

YAY!

Ps 84:11-12
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold
From those who walk uprightly.

12 O Lord of hosts,
Blessed is the man who trusts in You!
NKJV
