Fills and Reveals

Doing the will of God is hard on the flesh but not doing it is hard on the heart. The will of God is to love and the will of the flesh is selfishness. People that put themselves first are selfish and will suffer an unfulfilled heart. But people that choose to love first will have to suffer the crucifixion of self. So there will be suffering. It can’t be avoided but the type of suffering can be chosen. Suffer in the flesh or suffer in the spirit.

It’s not comfortable or desirable to the flesh to put God and others first, but it is right. And if you don’t do what’s right then you won’t feel right. Not that you don’t need to take care of yourself because you do. But if yourself is the only one you’re taking care of, then you’re not really taking care of yourself, but self serving to the destruction of self. Because selfishness is never satisfied, it’s like leeches within, sucking the life out of the heart leaving it in atrophy unfulfilled.

But when love is revealed it fills and fulfills. God’s love to you and through you is perfected in you. And sometimes it hurts the flesh to love but it heals the heart. Love flows in, the love flows out it’s the life blood of life and what it’s all about.

The commandment is love,
Simply what’s right,
God’s gift from above,
A yoke easy and light.

True love revealed,
Fills and fulfills,
Broken heart heals,
Fills and reveals.

Matt 11:28-30
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
NKJV

1 John 5:3-4
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
NKJV

Matt 22:37-40
37 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
NKJV

Rom 13:8
8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
NKJV

Rom 8:4-5
4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
NKJV

Eph 5:1-2
5 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
NKJV

Gal 5:22-25
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
NKJV

Eph 3:14-21
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
NKJV

1 John 4:12
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
NKJV
