Voices?!

Preachers are like alarm clocks, even if you get the best one in the world it still won’t do you any good unless you do they say. And a simple one will do as long as it’s set right. They remind us when to stop sleeping and help us get to work on time. Without some sort of alarm most people just waste the day away. And when it comes to the work of Kingdom are you busy about His business or simply sleeping because you have no consistent and clear voice to stir you on? The clock does not try to control your life and neither should the preacher but if you get a good one they’ll encourage you to do what you already know you should, even if you don’t like it sometimes. How many alarm clocks have you thrown away and how many of you have gotten rid of your preachers? I know that most are annoying and it took me years to find one that I could actually enjoy wakening to. But thank God for iPods and not just some beepin buzzer or random song or preacher on the radio. Not every voice is good to you, and you don’t have the same clanging clocks as you parents did but there is always a new sound for a new generation. So I encourage you to find someone who words can enliven you, who will help you do what God put on your heart to do and continue to follow through. Because the good work you’ve begun needs to get done and if you fall short you can’t blame it on the alarm, the preacher or anyone. Find a sound voice who will help you make the right choice.

John 10:1-6
10 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers."
NKJV

John 10:27-29
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
NKJV

Mark 1:1-3
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 2 As it is written in the Prophets:

"Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You."
3 'The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
'Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make His paths straight.'"
NKJV
