LACK

Lie, Advert, Corrupt, Kill

John 10:10
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
NKJV

John 10:10
10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)
AMP

We have an enemy who wants to destroy us by lack. It’s usually not a sudden and apparent attack but a steady severing of supply lines. Sly and subtle so that we won’t be inclined to fight back. Until we waste away, and then in weakness realize that we need to go to war. But it’s hard to do battle on an empty stomach and almost impossible to overcome with empty heads and hearts. So like a cowardly little lion the devil goes about “seeking whom he may devour.” He avoids direct confrontation with the children of God, because he knows he can’t win unless he first weakens. So he attacks the supply line and first and foremost at the source. God is our Source, our Life, our Love, our All in All and His Word is our Way. And the enemy knows it even if we don’t. If he can get us distracted and disconnected then he can bring discouragement and death. At the root of all his attack is LACK. He avoids a face to face fight when we stand in faith. He sneaks in to subvert and Lie, Advert, Corrupt and Kill. His strategy is LACK and its champion is Lies. It allies with deception to Advert our attention from the Source. Then he comes in to Corrupt and contaminate until we become, rotten, weak and weary. And then finally when our faith is frail, he comes in for the kill.

So at the root of every attack is LACK. Discouragement is a lack of courage enforced by fear so you won’t fight. Death is a lack of Life; sickness is a lack of health and poverty a lack of provision. Strife and hate result from a lack of love, depression a lack of hope, sorrow a lack of joy and torment a lack of tranquility…etc.

Jesus came so that we may have Life and have it in abundance. It’s God’s will for us to dwell in “perfect peace” so that we have no thing broken missing or lacking in any area. And He promises to keep us in “perfect peace” when our minds are fixed upon and trusting in him. (Isa 26:3) So the main tactic our cowardly but also vicious and ancient enemy is simply to sever us from the Source. He started the war with lies and is still the same. If we buy and act upon the lie then we will die. Lies separate us from the God of Truth who alone is our Source. But the answer is to pray everyday, be bold to obey, and stay connected alway. Abide in the Truth, you will be free and “abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

John 8:31-32
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
NKJV

Matt 6:6-7
6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
NKJV

Ps 91:1
91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
NKJV

Psalm 91 AMP

1 HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

3 For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.

5 You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,

6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.

8 Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, [Ps 91:1,14.]

10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.

11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].

12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. [Luke 4:10,11; Heb 1:14.]

13 You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot. [Luke 10:19.]

14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness — trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.
