The-Lord-Will-Provide

The Lord promised to provide but you must obey. In other words, “pray everyday and do what I say.” Pray everyday and be bold to obey! “Today, if you will hear His voice do not harden your hearts”

He said that He would provide but He never said how and He didn’t say that it would be easy either. It’s simple to see that in order to receive the provision the sheep must of necessity follow the Shepherd. And “be diligent to obey his voice” And that’s where the challenge comes in for the flesh. When it comes to the provision it’s not “free choice” but OBEY MY VOICE. You can’t just do whatever, whenever and wherever and expect God to bless the work of your hands. No, He will bless the work of you hands when you obey His voice because then the work of your hands is the work of His hands.

People like to say, “God will provide” and it’s true but the qualification is obedience. God provided for Abraham on the mountain but what if Abraham decided not to get up and go that day? It definitely wasn’t easy and He didn’t know or understand beforehand what God was going to do. But he did know that God is faithful, and was willing to do whatever he needed to do. Obedience even to the extent of sacrificing his own son. Can you even imagine? But he knew that God was greater even than death and that God would fulfill His promise. “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 of whom it was said, "In Isaac your seed shall be called," 19 concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.” (Heb 11:17-19)

And so he went. And ultimate obedience resulted in ultimate provision. Abraham was willing to give his son but God said, “No I will provide My own Son and He will be for your sacrifice.” And because you obeyed my voice you have received THE PROVISION.

The Provision is the Provider within. And the ability was provided by The Sacrifice. Now you have the opportunity to be one with the Almighty. The Shepherd and Provider dwells within. And “He shall supply all your need.” Now it’s your responsibility to PRAY AND OBEY. And it’s usually not easy so don’t expect it to be so you won’t be disappointed. But it makes sense because why would He need to strengthen you with mighty power to do His will if it was going to be easy? You don’t need mighty power to sit on the couch and wait for a check to come in. But you do need strength to get up off you butt and obey. And not just doing and being busy about whatever, whenever and wherever and thinking that because you’re in motion now God will provide. But you need to be in the right place at the right time doing what you believe that He wants you to. And He didn’t promise that you would like it, understand it, or be comfortable with it. If you’ve waked with God for very long then you already know this. You don’t just wake up one day and it suddenly gets easier. No, usually it gets harder but you get stronger and become more of an overcomer.

I’m sorry to say but I’ve been waiting, wishing and praying for twenty years for it to get easier it and it hasn’t yet. So I’m waiting no longer but focusing on getting stronger. And the stronger I get the more I can do and I’ve learned that obedience is always the way to get the breakthrough. It’s called the fight of faith and it’s a fight to obey. Not just one day or one time, but to pray everyday and be bold to obey. And there is no “grey” for this is the way, you must be diligent to DO what God has to say.

In Him you abide, He shall provide,
He strengthens you, so you CAN DO,
What He’s put in your heart,
NOW you must follow through.

Eph 2:19
19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
NKJV

Heb 3:6-4:16
6 but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:

"Today, if you will hear His voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
In the day of trial in the wilderness,
9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me,
And saw My works forty years.
10 Therefore I was angry with that generation,
And said, 'They always go astray in their heart,
And they have not known My ways.'
11 So I swore in My wrath,
'They shall not enter My rest.'"

12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said:

"Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."

16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

1 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:

"So I swore in My wrath,
'They shall not enter My rest,'"

although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works"; 5 and again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest."

6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, "Today," after such a long time, as it has been said:

"Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts."

8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
NKJV

2 Cor 12:9
9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."

19 If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land;

Deut 28:1-2…8
28 "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
…8 "The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand,
NKJV

Deut 30:8-14…19-20
8 And you will again obey the voice of the Lord and do all His commandments which I command you today. 9 The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, 10 if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

11 "For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' 14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

…19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."

15 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, 16 and said:"By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son — 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."
NKJV

Psalm 23
1 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
