Ahhh! What a great aroma! It makes me want to go do something. Even if you don’t like coffee it still smells good. It reminds me of this scripture.
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?” 2 Cor 2:14-16 NKJV
“Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation — an aroma redolent with life.” 2 Cor 2:15 MES
When there’s a real coffee shop around you can’t cover the aroma and when there’s real Christians around everyone will know it. It’s time to wake up and smell our calling. It’s all about helping people. How many of our goals or resolutions have to do with someone else? Helping others makes us happy because it’s a great part of fulfilling God’s will for our lives.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
Mark 10:45 NKJV
KJV – “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
So the Bible asks the question, “And who is sufficient for these things?” and then gives us the answer.
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Cor 3:5-6 NKJV
“…and not because we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our only power and success comes from God.” 2 Cor 3:4-5 TLB
“Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.” 2 Cor 3:5
AMP
YAY! We are qualified and sufficient in ability to serve and minister the very Life of God and how sweet it is! When the Spirit is working it’s like the coffee is brewing and there’s nothing you can do to hide it. When you seek God His Spirit will work in you, you won’t be able to help from helping others too! So consider this as you’re “resoluting” – Helping others makes us Happy! And the first two letters in Happy and Hallelujah are always Ha, Ha! So have a great day and be a blessing in every way!
1 Peter 4:10-11
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
NKJV
1 Peter 4:10-11
10 Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: 11 if words, let it be God's words; if help, let it be God's hearty help. That way, God's bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he'll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything — encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!
MES
1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God's many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].
11 Whoever speaks, [let him do it as one who utters] oracles of God; whoever renders service, [let him do it] as with the strength which God furnishes abundantly, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever (through endless ages). Amen (so be it). AMP
