Anchor

If you feel like you’re drifting aimlessly and out of control what you need is hope because it’s the anchor for your soul. There are many kinds of anchors but they have one purpose and that is hold things in place. Your mind and emotions tend slip or wander unless they have something to make them secure. Thoughts and images come continually like wind and waves and if your mind is not hooked to hope you will just be carried along by the current current. It’s like the old phone commercial that said, “If you don’t make a choice one will be made for you!” So if you don’t chose your thoughts they will be chosen for you. If you don’t direct the course of your life someone or something else will. Times change but the scriptures stay the same. You know that you have a good future because you can always see it when you look in the Word. God’s plan for you is not changed by what’s happening in the world but it is for you change your world. You are called to be consistent and in control of your soul. To do this you need to maintain your vision. You need something to see that’s the same day by day. And that’s what hope does it enables you see your future the light of Gods will which won’t change. So pray, study the scriptures and have hope as the anchor for your soul. Because there’s only one sure place to put it and our hope is in Him!

Heb 6:19

NKJV

Heb 6:19-20

MES

Heb 6:19
19 [Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it — a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil,
