Don’t Pet your Peeves!

There seems to an endless list, a plethora of potential perturbations. Without any effort at all you can always find something annoying and especially if your so inclined. Petting peeves is like raking while they’re falling. So you must resist the temptation to live in a constant state of agitation. Strife of any kind inside or out, with yourself or others short circuits your system - when you clash the sparks fly and then you have no energy “but don’t seem to know why” because strife drains your life. It causes confusion, blurs your vision and keeps you locked in a self made prison. If you want to escape you must find peace, because it’s key to your own release.

If you could purchase peace how much would you pay? It’s extremely precious and Jesus died and paid the price so that you could have His peace. Not just a temporary and fragile peace but “the peace of God that surpasses all understanding” ever-enduring, unshakable and non-breakable. It’s greater than all your cares and woes and can not be taken by your greatest foes. If you’ll hold onto God’s peace and refuse to let go you’ll be able to withstand every blow. So hold your peace and overcome and when temped to “let it go” do not succumb!

John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
NKJV

John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

Isa 26:3
3 You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.
