PAIN!

Obedience is a pain! But you know the old saying, “No pain, No gain!”

It’s interesting and agonizing. When you pray and begin to obey a situation always seems come your way. Somebody’s always got something to say, and your “emotions” want to make you pay. You know in your heart what God revealed, but you’ll be tested by how you feel.

But obedience is action and emotion is reaction. And to be let by reaction is retraction. It’s the classic “one step forward and two steps back” and very common is this attack. So you gotta go with what you know and not how you feel. This is the war, the war’s within, and you must follow the Spirit, not your feelings - if you want to win.

There will be pain so stop trying to avoid it. ~ Either the pain of your flesh suffering in obedience or the pain of the consequences of disobedience. One leads to victory and the other defeat, but at least the end of one is sweet. So embrace the pain and press on through, because if you try to avoid it, it will accrue. But if you’ll do what you know - what you need to do, you’ll be rewarded, tried and true.

From the pain you can’t refrain, but you can choose your pain, and through pain reign.

Heb 5:7-10
7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, 8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. 9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,
NKJV

Luke 22:42-44
42 saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." 43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
NKJV

Matt 26:38-39
38 Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me."

39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will."
NKJV

Mark 14:35-36
35 He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. 36 And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will."
NKJV

Phil 2:5-11
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
NKJV

1 Peter 5:6-11
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
NKJV

2 Cor 2:14
14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
NKJV

1 Cor 15:57-58
57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
NKJV

Heb 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
NKJV

Escape

I’ll not give you more than you can bear, so come unto Me, when you’re laden with care,
I’ll comfort, console, and fill you with Love, so cast your cares, and rise above.

1 Cor 10:13

NKJV

Matt 11:28-30
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
NKJV

Ps 55:22
22 Cast your burden on the Lord,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

But gives grace to the humble."

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
NKJV

2 Thess 2:16-17
16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, 17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.
NKJV

Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."

HEED

I diligently seek and pay attention to You, what would You lead me and heed me to do?

This is the question I have asked of the Almighty. He has given me some very detailed and direct instruction.

However I still need to pray everyday.
To Refresh the Vision
To Receive Strength and Provision
To be Bold to Obey
To Keep in the Way

I know what I need to do so how about you? And it’s one thing to know, and quite another to GO. And not only to GO, but to KEEP ON GOING and KEEP ON DOING what you’re supposed to be doing. It’s easy to trip and slip and stray from the Way that’s why you need to PRAY EVERYDAY AND BE BOLD TO OBEY! And you too, the Lord will show what to do. And if you DO and KEEP ON DOING, and STAY IN WAY and KEEP ON GOING, He will manifest and you’ll be blessed and His Promise will be possessed.

Deut 28:1-2
1 "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
NKJV

Deut 28:1-2
28 If you listen obediently to the Voice of God, your God, and heartily obey all his commandments that I command you today, God, your God, will place you on high, high above all the nations of the world. 2 All these blessings will come down on you and spread out beyond you because you have responded to the Voice of God, your God:

And for His wonderful works to the children of men!

UP!

There will always be ups and downs but God remains the same -

UP!
UP and ABLE.
And infinitely ABLE -
ABLE - to lift you up!

When your world seems a wilderness, and you’re tempted to doubt, don’t give in to fear, it’s time to cry out.

Do not dismay when they say, “No way!”

Just pray everyday and be bold to obey, acknowledge the Almighty within, for He is - THE WAY.

And the rough places smooth;
5 The glory of the Lord shall be revealed,

For the mouth of the Lord has spoken."
