Bail Out?

Don’t just ask God to help you do what you want to do, but ask Him to help you want to do what you need to do. Because you don’t always want to do what you need to, but if you could see the effect of your actions you would.

If you want to prosper and be healthy don’t just pray for prosperity and good health. God has already given you an abundance of health and wealth. If you misuse it you’ll lose it but if you sow it you’ll grow it. You don’t really need more money or less fat, though you may pray for both. But what you really need is discipline and a desire to do what you really need to do.

God’s not in the bail out business because He’d rather fix the hole in the boat. If you get in a predicament because of your actions then God’s solution is to help you change your actions. You may pray for deliverance, but deliverance will do you no good if you don’t change the behavior that put you in bondage. A quick fix that’s not a real fix is really no fix at all. So ask God to help you fix the hole then you can bail yourself out.

Who are you to ask God to do merely what you want Him to; do you know the future, all things construe? His plan is infinitely bigger than you, so ask Him to help you want to do what you need to do, and to have the diligence and desire to follow through. For there’s deliverance - in diligence.

“…you have need of endurance…” “…and my God shall supply all your need!”

Heb 10:35-36
35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
NKJV

Phil 4:19
19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
NKJV

Heb 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
NKJV

Heb 6:11-12
11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
NKJV

Prov 4:23
23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.
NKJV

3 John 2-4
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
NKJV

James 1:21
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
NKJV

Prov 10:4
4 He who has a slack hand becomes poor,
But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
NKJV

Prov 12:24
24 The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.
NKJV

Prov 21:5
5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty,
But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.
NKJV

Prov 24:30-34
30 I went by the field of the lazy man,
And by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding;
31 And there it was, all overgrown with thorns;
Its surface was covered with nettles;
Its stone wall was broken down.
32 When I saw it, I considered it well;
I looked on it and received instruction:
33 A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to rest;
34 So shall your poverty come like a prowler,
And your need like an armed man.
NKJV

1 Cor 9:24-27
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
NKJV
