Chosen!

Have you ever been in a situation when you weren’t the first one picked? It can hurt your heart when you know someone else thinks someone else is better than you. And it is true at times, others are better at some things; more athletic or extra qualified for a job or better for another in a relationship or whatever. But there’s no one better for God than you. The Bible says that “He chose us” and that includes you, “before the foundation of the world.” (Eph 1:4) God does not play favorites. He created you the way He wanted to and He loves you the way made you.

Jer 1:5a
"Before I shaped you in the womb,
I knew all about you.
Before you saw the light of day,
I had holy plans for you:

God did not wait to see how you turned out and then see if He wanted you. Instead He created you and chose you before you ever saw the light of day. You came into the world pre-blessed and with a unique place in Gods plan and family that only you can fill. There is no substitute; you are one of a kind with your own special place in God’s heart chosen by Him and for Him before the foundation of the world.

John 15:16a
You did not choose Me, but I chose you… NKJV

Eph 1:3-4
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
NKJV

Eph 1:4-6
4 Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. 5 Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!)

2 Thess 2:13
13 Meanwhile, we've got our hands full continually thanking God for you, our good friends — so loved by God! God picked you out as his from the very start. Think of it: included in God's original plan of salvation… MES

Ps 65:4
4 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You choose and cause to come near, that he may dwell in Your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.
