Do Good or Evil

It’s good to live in a country where we’re free. Thanks and honors go to all the people who have served their country to make this possible. And thank God we have been invited into His eternal kingdom and liberty. Gratitude and honor also go to His servants. When history tells of us and our time will the story be of those who served self or of those who served King and country? Some people don’t want to get involved in our country, churches and charitable organizations but everybody has the opportunity. Our politics and our ‘religion’ are not perfect so some people complain while others do something about it. The reason our country and our churches are superior even with their defects is because the main focus really is on helping others. It doesn’t seem to be to hard to find a crooked politician or a dishonest preacher but I believe the majority are still good and earnestly desiring to make an impact for good. A person who uses another persons failures and an excuse and justify their own poor conduct is really a wimpy weasel. Everyone seems to have strong opinions about these subjects but if we would exert as much energy to help people as we do to run our mouths then the world would be changed for the better. If you’re cynical about this that’s exactly the problem, people who can’t see the good in others find it hard to do any good themselves. The way to overcome evil is not to magnify it but to do good, and even to those who aren’t good to us.

Rom 12:21
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
NKJV

Acts 10:38-39
…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
NKJV
